My cat Sponge is 5 years old and truly my whole world. He has a silly, calm personality, listens well, and is always there for me. As an 18-year-old student about to start college, life can be tough, but Sponge helps me every day—he’s the reason I keep going and supports my mental health in ways I can’t describe. Coming from a poor family, I want to do everything I can to give him the best life possible. For the past few months, I’ve been working closely with my vet to figure out what’s best for Sponge. He needs dental surgery to remove his teeth, which is necessary to prevent gingivitis and infection. The funds raised will help cover the surgery, as well as the important aftercare and pre-surgery checks like x-rays to make sure he’s healthy enough for the procedure. My vet agrees this is the best step for him, and I’m determined to make it happen. Any support would help so much. I’m grateful for any amount—even a little goes a long way.
