<div>Hi, my name is Carter and I’m raising funds to purchase a much needed new wheelchair. My wheelchair is how I interact with the world, and my current one no longer fulfils my needs. It has been very difficult to secure sufficient funding through statutory bodies, and this has delayed the process, so much so that I am worried that if my wheelchair breaks, I would not be able to get out of bed which would have an adverse effect on my health (physically, emotionally and socially).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m a 23 year old, interested in film editing, politics, chess and video games. I have a neuromuscular condition (Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2) and my wheelchair is my only form of independence. My current wheelchair enables me to visit Wimbledon tennis, American football matches, visiting exhibitions around London, visiting the cinema, walking dogs at the park, interacting with my local community etc.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are so many barriers I face in accessing the things I wish to do, and so any contribution, however small, would make a world of a difference to me.
</div>

Help me fund my next wheelchair

<div>It’s Midsummers Day on Clapham Common and the hottest day of the year. <em>No wonder everyone is so thirsty.</em>

<div>In the hospice Gregory is elegantly fading away, doing crosswords, and dreaming of hot sex. As night draws in, so the siren call from the chorus of Nuns and leather Daddies over the fence grow stronger – will he ever go cruising again?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And when his nurse, Yvonne, starts to hear those voices too - will she be tempted to give him what he wants?
</div>

<div><strong>COMMON PEOPLE</strong> is a play about love, desire, intimacy, middle age, and the revolutionary nature of sexual fantasy even in the presence of death. After several very successful readings, we are now staging a full production for 3 weeks at Omnibus theatre, London, July 2024.

COMMON PEOPLE - a new play by Nicholas McInerny

<div>Your donation means a huge contribution towards the betterment of the lives of Marwa and her 4 children. She looks after her children with no help since she recently lost her husband and her sister who left behind an orphaned niece. This family desperately wants to maintain the hope of living a decent life one day, with healthcare, job opportunity and just normality. We are aiming for enough donations for the families travel expenses to a place with more opportunity. So your contribution however big or small will mean the world to this cause. Thank you for reading until the end.
</div>

Rebuilding hope; Support the remaining members of the family

<div>On the 2nd February 2024 I was diagnosed with high-grade Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. A cancer that affects the lymphatic system. The specifics of this cancer are rare and it has caused a 14cm mass in my chest with subsequent blood clots around my torso area. My cancer ward have only seen four cases of this type in the last year.

<div>I had my first session of chemotherapy last Thursday so I expect my hair to start falling out pretty soon. I've decided to shave my head so I'm ahead of this before it happens and I'd like to raise some money in aid of the big head shave.

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>So I'm pretty devastated for what's about to happen. I have also always felt very lucky to have hair that I love. But I will learn to love my new hair when it eventually grows back, however it does.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The money I'm raising will go towards two things that are important to me and every donation will be halved equally :).

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Firstly, I'd like to put some money towards a wig for myself. It will help my cancer journey so much to have a wig that I love and that I feel confident in. Secondly, I would like to donate some money to a charity I care very much about, Compassion in Dying.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Before I was diagnosed with cancer, I had been unwell for a while and I knew something wasn't right. It took three GPs, a physio, 111, pharmacy staff, urgent care, and eventually an A&amp;E doctor to take me seriously. I had to advocate constantly for my own care (and still do). As I work for Compassion in Dying, I had the skills and knowledge to be able to do this and the support of our specialist nurse. The NHS is wonderful and they're currently saving my life, but it took a lot of speaking out on my part to get to where I am now, and I still have a long road ahead of me to recovery. I'd like to give money to Compassion in Dying so they can continue to support people, and give them the expert knowledge, skills and confidence to fight for their right care and treatment.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Any donation you can give, however big or small, will be so appreciated by my soon-to-be cold head and towards the amazing work Compassion in Dying do. Any money raised in excess of a wig will go towards other parts of my treatment, like transport to the hospital.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thanks so much for reading &lt;3

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>P.S. I will not be filming or taking photos of the shave as that’s a bit much for me currently. I may decide to post photos at a later date but I’m not promising anything. Thanks for understanding xx
