- Hello, our names are Leila and Owen and we are reaching out to ask for help for our family in Jamaica. Recently, a devastating hurricane swept through the island, causing widespread destruction and leaving many families, including ours, in urgent need of assistance. Our family’s homes were severely damaged, and they have lost many of their belongings and basic necessities. They are currently struggling to find safe shelter, access clean water, and rebuild what was destroyed. The road to recovery feels overwhelming, and we want to do everything we can to support them during this difficult time. Being so far away from them at such a difficult and devastating time, we are at a loss on how to help, but if we can raise vital funds for them, then we can help them get back on their feet. It’s hard to even imagine going through such a natural disaster, and then for all your worldly belongings and the very roof over your head, to be lost to the elements. The funds raised will go directly to helping our entire family, including Owen’s children, his mother and brothers and hopefully something for the wider community of the Old Folley in Discovery Bay; - Repair their homes - Purchase food and water - Cover medical expenses - Support their efforts to rebuild their lives and community Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity can help bring hope and stability back to our family and their community. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for your kindness. Your support means the world to us. Please share as much as you can. My step children and their mother, Crystal, have lost nearly all their worldly belongings, Crystal writes: “Hi everyone, I never imagined I’d be in this situation, but the recent storm has completely turned my life upside down. My home was badly damaged the roof gave way, water came pouring in, and I lost so many of the things that made it feel like home. I’m heartbroken, but I’m trying to stay strong and rebuild piece by piece. Right now, I need help to repair the damage, replace essentials, and find a safe place to live while I work on restoring my home. Anything you can give whether it’s a donation, a share, or even a kind word means more than you know. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring and helping me through one of the hardest moments of my life. ” **Updates:** We will keep everyone updated on our progress and how the funds are being used. Your help is truly appreciated. ---
