<div>Our 4 month old baby girl Isla has had a fall and needs emergency specialist orthopaedic surgery to reattach her growth plate and save her knee. Any support would mean the absolute world and help give her a chance at the best quality of life for her future. We adopted her as a rescue just a week ago today and as new puppy parents this unexpected turn of events has left us shattered. Please keep Isla in your thoughts and prayers, your donations mean more than words can convey ❤️

Isla’s Emergency Orthopaedic Surgery

<div>Yesterday I had what is most likely to be the most intense yet most rewarding moment of my life. While travelling home for lunch as I was coming over Tallebudgera creek bridge when I came across a car that had just plowed into a parked car and then wedged itself down an embankment. Smoke billowing out of the car I made the decision to turn around and see if everything was okay. As I parked my car and jumped out I ran over to the car to see 4 or 5 guys dragging an unconscious man out of his car. This man was as pale as a ghost and was what I would call dead. 4-5 people quickly jumped into action starting CPR on the man while I ran as fast as I could to find a Defib. I ran only 100m to the Tallebudgera tourist park where I abruptly asked for their Defib and that a man was dying out the front. I quickly grabbed the Defib and ran back to this man all while still trying to talk to the ambulance on the phone. We quickly applied the patches on the man and let the Defib do its thing, after shocking him 4 times and 12 minutes of CPR the ambulance finally arrived. It was at this point that they took over and began giving him every drug under the sun o bring him back. At around the 16 minute mark and after 2 more shocks and 4 more minutes of CPR they stopped CPR as he was breathing (assisted) on his own and had a steady heart rate.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today I got the new that Darren had survived and was doing great. I ended up going to see him at the hospital to see how he was doing. He was a trooper and said that he is a fighter and he has always been a fighter, that nothing could take him down like that. Unfortunately for Darren his car is uninsured because he’s “going through a bit of a rough stage”. But nonetheless he said he doesn’t care about the money and that he is so thankful that we helped bring him back. Please to everyone out there hug your loved ones you never know what is around the corner. For Darren there were no signs, nothing, just waking up in an ambulance being told he was in a really bad way and very lucky to be alive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To group of guys who dragged him out of the car, the 2 girls from the Talle Recreation centre and 2 other guys who gave CPR all taking it in turns, while others checked for a pulse you guys did amazing and without you this man would not be standing here. I speak on behalf of Darren and he can’t thankyou enough of giving him a new lease on life.

Help Darren get back on his feet after a heart attack

<div>Every community has someone at its heart: the person who makes things happen, holds people together, and never asks for anything in return. For everyone lucky enough to know her, that person is Deirdrie Tehan Cullen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now we need to show up for her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Three and a half years ago, Deirdrie was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. Her dedication to this journey was and is nothing short of inspiring. After completing all available treatment in Australia, Deirdrie travelled to India earlier this year for state-of-the-art integrative therapy. It was a huge leap, emotionally, physically, financially. And it has worked. She is now on track to reach NEAD: No Evidence of Active Disease.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But now Deirdrie needs one more month to get there.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re asking the community to join us in raising funds to cover that final month of treatment, plus the immune support and cellular immunotherapy she needs before she can safely come home to Australia. Her family have exhausted their resources and this treatment isn’t covered by Medicare. What’s left now is up to her community, and that community is enormous, because Deirdrie has spent decades building it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Deirdrie helped establish the Gold Coast Birth Centre, and when it faced closure, she was the one who rallied people, got the media involved, and refused to let it go. Her birth photography still hangs on the walls there. She led the P&amp;F at the Steiner School for years and served as President of the Homebirth Association. She gave her time to schools, artists, local families, quietly, consistently, without fanfare and by volunteering. The kind of behind-the-scenes work that holds institutions together but rarely gets acknowledged.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And our story? More than 30 years ago, a small group of women connected through a shared approach to family, health, and life. Through births, deaths, heartbreaks, and every hard season between, we became the “Ya Ya Sisterhood.” Deirdrie has been at the heart of that circle. Now as her friends, we are reaching out to ask you to join us in giving back to someone who has given so much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You may feel you don't have much to offer, but when we come together as community, those small gifts can make a big difference.
</div>
<div>If you can, please give. If you can share, please share. Every contribution brings Deirdrie one step closer to living without cancer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love,
</div>
<div>The Ya Ya Sisterhood ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>P.S. the beneficiary is noted as 'Erynn' who is Deirdrie's daughter as Deirdrie is not able to access this site from India.
</div>

<div>hey everyone my name is brooke
</div>
<div>We recently had the incredible opportunity to step in and rescue these two beautiful girls, who were heartbreakingly at risk of being put to sleep, through absolutely no fault of their own. They were simply… unwanted.
</div>
<div>Thanks to an amazing community member who noticed them, cared deeply, and reached out for help, these sweet souls now have a brand new beginning.
</div>
<div>I’m beyond grateful to welcome them into the family. From here on out, they’ll be nurtured, cared for, protected, and loved beyond measure, exactly what they’ve always deserved. ❤️
</div>
<div>They are the gentlest, kindest little creatures, and my heart is so full knowing they’ll never have to worry again!
</div>
<div>A fresh start, a safe home, and a lifetime of love ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve received so many beautiful messages from people wanting to donate to help them, and I’m truly so grateful. We’ve created this GoFundMe to raise some funds for their makeover: farrier, teeth, vet checks, and everything they need to feel (and look!) their absolute best.
</div>
<div>If anyone would like to contribute, it would mean the world. Thank you all for the kindness and support!, the girls are loving their new home and already living their best life!
</div>

Help get these girls feeling and looking their very best!

<div>We are raising funds to help bring our beloved Shane Ramsey home.
</div>
<div>Shane was involved in a very serious accident on the moped in Bali resulting in a fractured skull, bleeding on the brain, blood in his lungs, and severe brain damage.
</div>
<div>* Update*
</div>
<div>Shane has undertaken the neurosurgery in Bali and was later rushed back to perth on a med evac flight where Shane has unfortunately passed away, despite all efforts to save Shane being unsuccessful, Shane was an organ donar and has now given the gift of life to another, due to the amazing efforts of the Royal Perth Hospital Staff. Unfortunately Shane had no travel insurance and we are hoping to raise as much as we can to help cover the hospital costs and to bring Shane home. One surgery alone cost $53 000. Every night in the hospital was an additional $9 000. This does not include all the medication etc that was administered throughout his stay. Please any donations will be very appreciated and will relieve some of the pressure of his family to cover the costs.
</div>

Help Bring Shane Home!

<div>Hi, I am Lisa Littman.
</div>
<div>I have created this go fund me due to numerous requests to do so. I would like to assist my son in getting his beautiful boy back. We will use funds to either get pet detectives involved or for a reward.

Bring Khan home

<div>Hi my name is Alishia but a lot of people know me by Ferny, today I'm making this GoFundMe in hopes to raise money for our brother Dylan. An unfortunate circumstance has fallen upon him and his life was taken in a tragic accident.

<div>Dylan was known as someone loud and wild, his spirit was untameable but his soul was pure and he loved with his entire being. He was a fighter in spirit and was so intelligent and because of that, he was surrounded by the most beautiful people. He believed that everyone had the power to change and do good! He had a huge heart, one of the biggest that I've ever seen, there was just so much love for the people around him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dylan didn't deserve to go this way and his family is in shock and they need our help. With Dylan's brother, Jacob, being overseas, his family are going to be struggling to make ends meet to get him here and to plan the service and funeral. We, his extended family, need to come together to support his true family with anything we can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is our time to help Dylan, one final time... a share, a donation, a comment! Anything to help raise awareness for our brother.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I truly hope that this reaches the whole of the community that knows and loves Dylan. Sending so much love to everyone and hope you are all holding up and surrounding yourselves with loved ones.

Help Nicholas Tadros

<div>Hi,
</div>
<div>my daughter in law has lived here in Australia for 5 years. She has not been able to visit her parents during this time due to many reasons.
</div>
<div>But right now with the situation in Ukraine I would like to help her get her parents out of Ukraine and into our safe land of Australia.
</div>
<div>My son and daughter in law are a small family, one child and are trying to do the best they can. My son is studying at university, and they both work part time. We will do all we can to support the parents when they arrive, we just want to get them both here in Australia asap. They need help with visa and flight tickets. If you could help in anyway, it would be much appreciated. ❤️

Help get parents out of Ukraine

<p>My publisher Julie and her beloved partner Azucar are in the hospital in Mexico with Covid. Both are very ill. Julie now has pneumonia, and Azucar is in ICU with a ventilator. No insurance for this, and big costs.
</p>
<p>They are my dear friends and both give tirelessly to charities, children at orphanages, and so much more. They also provide sanctuary to homeless cats and rehome them to Canada. Their generosity and compassion are endless for everyone.
</p>
<p>Now they've both been struck down, and need our help. This could happen to any of us, and we survive because we are all connected and help each other. Thank you for your support, compassion and love. All funds will be donated to Julie Salisbury's company, Influence Publishing Inc, for the medical care of both Julie and her fiance.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/58780605_1627515515313827_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="58780605_1627515515313827_r.jpeg" />

Help save their lives

We all watch the news &amp; see the devastating outcomes that can come from a car accident. It's every parents worse nightmare &amp; until you get the knock on the door at 9pm by the police, to find out it's one of your own children, it doesn't quite hit home. Our nightmare began 19 days ago on the 7th of February. At 6:18pm, my 17 year old brother Bradley Wright was involved in a serious single vehicle accident at Tallai on the Gold Coast. After 2 hours trapped in the vehicle with life threatening injuries, he'd almost lost all of his blood. He was then transported to Gold Coast University hospital &amp; without the help from incredible paramedics, he wouldn't be here today. After being rushed into surgery for 3 hours we discovered he had bleeds in two different areas of the brain, a hematoma to the C2 vertebrae, a jaw broken in several places, majority of his teeth knocked out, chipped or moved, a burst left ear drum, lacerations to his chin &amp; throat, possible nerve damage to the left shoulder/arm, cracked pelvis, compound fracture to his left femur, a shattered right knee &amp; left ankle &amp; multiple breaks to his feet. We've been told by specialist that he has roughly 6-12 months of recovery ahead including learning to walk &amp; talk again. To this day we are still unsure how much damage has been done to his brain. We will need to make changes to our house &amp; cars in order to accomadate for a wheelchair.  My family will be going from a two-parent income to one as my brother will need full time care for the first 6-12 months &amp; as we all know, while our lives may have stopped, the bills/expenses do not. We have an extremly long, traumatic road ahead for our family, the medical &amp; dental bills will be extensive in Brad's road to recovery. Therefore, we are asking for all the help you can give. No amount is too small &amp; we will be grateful for every cent. We just want to get back to a normal life for Brad, myself and my parents. - Rebecca Wright
