What they care about

As a husband and father, my family is what keeps me going and on track. I am 54 years old, and my job and the work that I do when Im healthy is what I love.

Hello, my name is Lazaro. I'm reaching out with a humble heart during an incredibly difficult time for our small family—my amazing wife Santa, our wonderful son Santiago, and myself. Recently, a series of setbacks has left us in a precarious situation. I have been diagnosed with a hernia that requires surgery, and my doctor has advised that I cannot work until after the operation and initial recovery. This has completely halted our primary income and put us under immense financial strain. In a cruel twist of fate, we also lost our family car in an accident. Without it, getting to medical appointments, running errands, or even returning to work once I'm able has become a constant struggle and expense. This has all converged as we approach Christmas and our son Santiago's birthday. As parents, it breaks our hearts that we cannot provide the brightness and celebration he deserves this year. More importantly, we need to stabilize our basic needs—rent, utilities, and groceries—until I can get back on my feet. We are asking for our friends and our community's support to help us bridge this gap. Your contributions will go directly towards covering our essential living expenses, medical costs related to my surgery, and the purchase of a used car so we can regain transportation for our family. Any help, no matter the size, will make a real difference for us. Thank you for considering supporting our family during this challenging time.
