<div>I’m reaching out with a lot of humility and hope. Over the last few months, I’ve been facing a really unstable housing situation that’s made it difficult to stay on my feet financially.<span>I’ve been pushed out of my home out of fear for my safety and am now living in temporary housing — constantly moving from place to place — while still being held responsible for my portion of the rent at my original apartment as well as my other financial obligations. </span>

<div>Unfortunately, for the majority of my tenancy one of my roommates has been consistently late with their rent payments, requiring me to cover their rent for <b>5 months</b> <b>now</b>, and I’m now deeply concerned that I’ll be left to cover their portion entirely to prevent <strong>eviction</strong>. This would be devastating on top of the extra costs I’m already carrying and I cannot navigate the fallout of an eviction on my record. I will also need funds when I am able to fully move this April, hopefully under better circumstances than eviction.

On behalf of Jim and Angie Sales, we are setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help the Sales Family offset the cost of legal expenses and investigative fees in their pursuit of justice for the death of their 20-year-old son Jaxon Sales.  They need to secure legal assistance to help them navigate the maze of legal proceedings ahead.

<div>Jaxon’s death two years ago has been widely shared.  He went on a blind date and was overdosed on GHB, the date rape drug.  He was found naked and dead in the bed of a stranger. Angie and Jim want a full investigation into the circumstances of Jaxon's death and will need legal assistance as they seek answers and accountability.
