 As you may know, our friend Louie Tran has been experiencing an urgent housing issue- his housemate and friend has given him notice (she just wants to live on her own again) and after 15 years of living there, he needs to find a new place to stay. Unfortunately, his housing options are extremely limited. Have you seen the cost of rent out there these days? It's absurd and continuing to increase each year! Right now, it's hard to find any housing under $1,000/month.

 At the moment, Louie has limited funds for rent (around $300/month) and he is in the (long and frustrating) process of re-submitting for SSI (disability) support, as he can’t work a regular job due to a disability. Part of what keeps Louie healthy is being close to his community, and it is important for him to continue to live near them.

Help Jenny Through the Loss of Her Son Josiah

<div>Jaime was diagnosed with a very rare grey zone lymphoma in August 2023 and is undergoing rigorous in-patient chemotherapy treatments to battle it. The hope is that these 6 [5 days each month] sessions will put her into remission at the end of the year.

<div>She had been trying to schedule a routine doctor appointment and had mentioned she had had a bad cough to the scheduler. This person told her she had to go to Urgent care first, in case it was pneumonia or something. During this visit they did a blood test and her results made them concerned she could have a blood clot in her chest, so they sent her to the ER. At the ER they did a CT scan and found the large mass over her lungs and heart.

<div>The initial thought was it was a Hodgkin's Lymphoma but they realized that wasn't the case and sent it to Mayo to be analyzed. Once the diagnosis was in they got Jaime in right away to start her chemo; all the staff has been so wonderful and caring.

Jaime's Cancer Journey

<div>Hey guys, Harper was in a stolen vehicle on Monday, Nov. 15th from Hudson, Wisconsin. We tracked my laptop (which was in the stolen vehicle) from Hudson to Little Earth in Minneapolis, and then to and from Vadnais Heights, and then finally to Coon Rapids, where the vehicle was wrecked. We believe the suspect dropped Harp off somewhere in Minneapolis, probably downtown, but we’re not 100% sure. With the help of dozens of family members, friends, and volunteers, we have been trying to cover every inch of Downtown Minneapolis, but to no avail, so far.

<div>We have been approached with donation offers to increase the reward for Harp. We sincerely appreciate everyone's generosity, and we have decided to set the maximum award amount at $2,500. Angela has got the biggest heart of anyone I know. Her life is dogs. Whether her own, or the ones she is fostering.  She takes in the dogs everyone else has given up on. All of her dogs are put ahead of her own personal needs. She lives in a small rental, without much of a yard. <p>Hello! Thanks for taking the time to look at my cause. This is Whiskers, my 10 year old long-haired domestic cat. I've had her since she was a kitten.<br /><br />Recently she's been in a lot of pain and discomfort; every time she tries to eat anything solid, I see the shock and hear her painful cries as she gives up immediately. She's been eating a lot less than she normally does for a week now and I was beginning to fear for her. Her stomach is extremely sensitive to soft food and throws up any I've fed her within 30 minutes of eating. Fortunately however, I might have found one last night that she's able to tolerate. She must have been starving as the moment I put it down she jumped up to her dish, rubbing up against me purring before attempting to eat. She ate half of it before going to lay down for 5 minutes, I assume because she's also scared she's going to throw it up. As soon as she began feeling better she went back to finish it off. This was a huge moment of relief for me, knowing she's at least able to eat something.<br /><br />This week I took her to a vet and was told her two bottom fangs must be removed as they are rotting and her gums have a high potential of dying if not removed soon. I was also advised that her other teeth need a cleaning to remove tarter &amp; calculus to drastically lower the chances of the disease of her two lower fangs spreading to her healthy teeth.<br /><br />The bill quoted to me was between $1480 &amp; $1,945 (entire quote below). The range is apparently in case they need more time to extract the tooth, or if they find anymore teeth that need to be extracted. Unfortunately I'm unable to afford the bill in it's entirety as I live on disability and have a low income. I've called every vet in my area to find a lower price to no avail.<br /><br />Whiskers is a very loving cat, she wakes me up every morning just to have someone cuddle with her. She's as active as the day I got her as a kitten, always sprinting across the floor just to come to a complete stop so she can slide across the tiles. Ever since she was a kitten she's attempted to climb the door frames of my bedroom and bathroom. I can't tolerate seeing her suffering. I've started saving to try to afford her surgery, but given my low income it may take years to get enough money together to afford it.<br /><br />If you or anyone you know can donate even $5 to Whiskers' fund, it would be a huge help.
