 Last month, while work was being done on their future retirement home in Maine, a devastating accident turned Andrea and Mark's lives upside down. A propane explosion occurred while Andrea was inside, and the home was quickly engulfed in flames. Thankfully, Andrea was able to escape, but not before suffering severe burns to her legs and back.

 Andrea was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she has been receiving specialized care and beginning the long road to recovery. Her healing journey will involve many challenges, setbacks, and victories in the months ahead.

 Since the accident, Mark has remained faithfully by Andrea's side. Throughout it all, Andrea has amazed her doctors, nurses, and caregivers with her courage, determination, and positive spirit. Of course this doesn’t surprise anyone that knows Andrea!

 While we are confident that Andrea's strength and support of her family will help her through this difficult ordeal, recovery will take time. Both Andrea and Mark will be away from work for an extended period as they focus on healing and rehabilitation. And although work will pause for the moment, the bills keep coming.

 Our goal is to ease some of the financial burden so they can concentrate on what matters most: Andrea's recovery. If you are able, please consider making a donation of any amount. <div>This is the last thing I thought I'd be doing.... but unfortunately my mom passed away on Tuesday January 16th 2024. She was my everything and I'd do anything for her. I have nobody else to turn to. Right now my mom is just sitting in the morgue because I have no money to get her out and get her a simple cremation. . I know everyone is going through hard times and I understand that. And trust me I'm embarrassed to even be asking for help but I need to get my mom at peace.  So if anyone would like to help I'd appreciate it so much. Thank you.

<div>Update: I appreciate the out pouring of support I have received thus far. I received a call today from the 50 Legs Organization letting me know that because I need to have both of my legs fitted for new prosthetics it will take 2 weeks.  This was an unexpected change in plans but is causing the expense of the trip to increase so I reluctantly increaed the goal of the fundraiser. I really appreciate all the generosity of all my friends and family. <br /><br />Hi my name Mike. I am hear to ask for a little bit of help.You see I was given an once in a lifetime opportunity to get state of the art prosthetic legs. I would love to take advantage of but its in Florida. The organization that is giving me this opportunity is called 50 Legs. They are a well know and respected organization in the amputation community. If I am able to fulfill this opportunity it will benefit me for many years to come as I will continue to be a recipient of the newest technology in prosthetics as it becomes available. I just need a little traveling money. I really I wish didn't have to ask for help but this is my last resort. I really appreciate anyone who is available to help me through this journey.
