<div>I am raising money to help me save CJ's left eye and overall eyesight. CJ was sadly attacked by my sister's Great Dane on Friday, November 14th, 2025. We rushed CJ immediately after to @ VEG for an ER visit where he was evaluated, given pain meds and was referred to a specialist. We took him to Animal Eye Guys [Bird Road-Miami] on Monday, November 17thm 2025, where the specialist sadly gave us the devastating news that he had lost all of his eyesight in due to not just the cornea being pierced, but also the retina. Since there was so much blood in the eye, the Dr. couldn't give us an answer on if the retina was still attached, so we are hopeful for more info on his follow-up appt on Thursday, November 20th, 2025. Right now, we are giving him 4 various drops every 4 hours on a 12 am/4 am/8 am/12 pm/4 pm/8 pm schedule, as well as liquid anti-biotics and a pain killer twice a day 10 am/10 pm.

<div>We are trying to do all that we can to save the eye given that he has a grade 4/5 heart murmur, so we truly worry about putting him under for surgery. We'd have to see a cardiologist, and it takes 6-8 months in Miami just to secure an appt. to see one.

<div>CJ had a terrible eye ulcer in this same eye back in 2023, where he almost lost his eye, but with the help of my amazing friends, I was able to pay for his treatment to save it, but sadly here I am two years later in an even worse situation and scenario. 
</div>

<div>CJ is a 14-year old senior special needs shih-tzu whom I rescued from the streets of Miami.
</div>

<div>CJ suffers from severe allergies and must eat a special home-cooked diet. He is allergic to chicken. Any deviation from his recommendation food or treats results in a severe life-threatening allergic reaction. He vomits and defecates bloody diarrhea if he consumes anything with even chicken by-products such as: egg shells, stock (from boiling water with chicken bones), or any miscellaneous body parts. He is also allergic to grass and suffers from severe dermatitis if he comes in contact with it, and has to use special shampoos and conditioners. He also has an anaphylactic reaction to the rabies vaccine. All of which are related to his severe allergies. Sadly, due to what I believe is related to years to eating chicken, his liver is borderline failing. His liver enzymes are always high, but have been as high as almost 600. His most recent visit, it was as high as 400+ so he had to go back Denamarin and try another elimination diet.

<div>This took me years and thousands of dollars in trying various foods and Dermologist / Allergists specialist appointments to figure out. Surprisingly, chicken didn’t show on his allergy panel. Grass did and explained his constant scratching and hot spots, which he would bite his skin raw until it was bloody.

<div>A newer development, as of 2020, is now he has a grade 3/4 heart murmur. It is congenital and breed based. This also requires a low fat/ low colesterol diet. I have to take him yearly to a specialist to have an ultrasound, which is very expensive.

<div>Lastly, due to his breed, he is very prone to eye ulcers. He has had several from when I rescued him, but two in particular where he almost lost his eye. The most recent ulcer was 2023.

<div>I have used my own funds, as well as credit cards to provide the best care for him, but could really use the help moving forward as the costs for everything, food, medicine, doctors’ visits has skyrocketed.

<div>Any amount truly helps provide CJ with his medically necessary medications, Dr. visits, various procedures, and overall care.

PLEASE HELP ME SAVE CJ'S EYE

<p>It is Fly writing this, as Cat having a melt down over money and having to make sure Chrissy (alter) isn’t messing things up and causing system panic again. So we have done research on the therapists offering psychotherapy / psychodynamic therapy (UKCP and or BACP Rev) with attachment based work, developmental trauma, disassociation trauma, supervision and seeing what concessions they offer since we cannot work. We have early medical trauma from age 2 - 8, neglect and then loss of our biological mother at age 13. A few others after this that we aren’t able to disclose here that happened later. Claire was with child mental health services from age 14 and we have been in paid and unpaid services all our life. But only after an overdose later February have we become self aware as a system. We really need stabilisation work and real help with emotional regulation.  This is Cat and Jack below.

<p>for those that don’t know us, we are a diagnosed system with DDNOS which is basically OSDD and we have suspected autism. We also have depression, anxiety, PTSD, body dysmorphia, self harm, suicidal ideation and attempts and hey just grab a mental health bingo card.. and you would get a full house.

<p>We are a system of 11 - Cat, Claire, Jack, Faust, Finn, Fly, Izzy, (baby), Bunny, Harper, Chrissy.  that we know of. Some alters can remain dormant for decades. We don’t sure of the baby’s name yet, so no photos yet... we make these on a app that allows us to get the closest representation to how we look in the inner as possible.

<p>the issue we have is that none of us have had any grounding work or help with trauma for the little ones ( Izzy and the other one) Due to the fact that you get terrible mental health help on NHS (particularly where we currently live) and they have neither the skills or resources to help. In fact they have placed us with a nurse practitioner instead of a psychotherapist for the past few months, cheaper we guess.

<p>The therapy that covers what we need is £60 an hour and we are looking at ideally 6 months.. which is around £1500 (gfm fees come off that) this will hopefully mean we can get to Brighton during this time and get referred by the NHS to pay the rest of therapy or at least be close to this being organised. We might not get help from the NHS as a doctor needs to refer you, but we can at least try. Below is a photo of Claire and her mum.

<p>we aren’t sure if we will get any donations .. fans asked us to post this so they could give some. But we needed to be convinced. We have always worked.. since Cat (who was running the body at the time) left school, she talked her way into college using our art portfolio as we failed all our exams due to trauma and brake down. <p>we are also looking at getting things for the system .. for young ones mostly, era specific toys from the late 70s and early 80s... so any help tracking things like - the original plastic ET doll from the movie, bean bag hacky sacks, old fashioned toys basically.. Izzy shows zero interest in modern toys .. it has to be things that have attachment. Maybe a white nose toy for the baby with heartbeat.

In addition to saving the lives of shelter animals, she has been a full-time working professional for 40+ years and recently (and unexpectedly) lost her job. <br /><br />Though it is very humbling to ask for help, we want to get help Roberta with her past-due mortgage payments so she can focus on finding new employment and getting back on her feet.<br /><br />As you may know, the job search is a job in itself these days and it can take some time to even get an interview as someone with years of experience (many companies would rather hire a younger employee with little experience just to save on costs). <br /><br />There is a potential position lined up in the near future, but unfortunately, bills have accumulated during her time unemployed and her home is at risk of going into foreclosure on 10/17/19.<br /><br />In addition, the rescue relies solely on donations, and if donations are low, vet bills and dog supplies are paid for out of her pocket. The costs of caring for special needs senior dogs constantly adds up, and the vet balance is rarely $0.<br /><br />Because she is actively looking for work and is hopefully near the end of the job search, we are only asking for enough donations to cover past due mortgage payments, which will allow her to keep her home, prevent foreclosure and keep the rescue animals safe and secure.<br /><br />There are unfortunately no other resources we can pull from at this time (family assistance has been maxed out and loans, and other assistance programs have been applied for and denied).
