<div>Hi, my name is Laura and I am a personal family friend of Vianey Hernandez and her husband, Jimmy. I attended Mission Community Church with them before I moved out of state to NC in 2024.

<div>My heart is heavy as I share, they have just lost their home and all of their belongings in a devastating fire that consumed everything including precious memories. In a matter of moments, everything familiar was gone.

<div>If you know Vianey and Jimmy, you know the kind of people they are — the ones who show up first, love deeply, serve quietly, and bring light into every room they enter. They have wrapped so many of us in kindness, encouragement, and unwavering faith. Now it is our turn to wrap our arms around them.

<div>Right now, as they begin to process the shock and assess what comes next, the greatest need is financial support. Rallying for Vianey and Jimmy After the Fire

<div>Our beloved friend and colleague, <strong>Matt Wallace</strong>, was recently diagnosed with cancer. As many of you know, Matt has devoted years to the homeless community in Lee County as a Homeless Outreach Coordinator — guiding those experiencing homelessness with wisdom, warmth, and unwavering care.

<div>Matt has touched hundreds of lives with his deep compassion, fierce advocacy, and strength. Whether he was helping someone in need discover their path, supporting a colleague, or simply listening with his signature grace, Matt has been a pillar of support and inspiration to all who know him.

Rally for Matt Wallace's Recovery

<p>My name is Daniel, the best friend of Michaels son, Mitch. <br /><br />All money is being given to the Avey family. The gofundme was started by me, Daniel, in order to give the Aveys space and time to spend with their family. <br /><br /><br /><strong>Some words from Mitchell:</strong></p>
<p>"My father Michael Avey passed away suddenly 8/16/2018. He was a father of three sons, and a proud grandfather. Michael was diagnosed with stage four cancer earlier this year.</p>
<p>Michael moved to Florida a few years ago to be closer to his boys and spend more time with his grandson. </p>
<p>The VA provided treatment because he didn't have healthcare. As his conditioned worsened he was unable to work. His sudden passing has been incredibly hard for me and my brothers.</p>
<p>We're asking for the generousity of our friends and family to help us cover some of his burial costs. Because he did not have life insurance, this burial has been a substainial finacial burden to us.</p>
<p>The funds are going to be used to pay for his burial, funeral home costs, and related bills.</p>

Michael Aveys Memorial Costs

Family, Friends, and community at large, many of you have heard by now that one of our closest family members Jenny Garza has experienced a horrible tragedy . Last night 09/07 Jenny and her family were struck on S.R. 82 by a vehicle attempting to pass in the opposite lane. Jenny's Husband Alex and her daughter Lexi did not survive the crash, while Jenny's son Jeremiah still remains in critical condition. We are all deeply saddened to learn of Jenny's loss and can't imagine the pain she is going through right now. Please keep Jenny and her family in your thoughts and prayers as we are hopeful for her recovery but ever mindful of her loss and bereavement.<br />There is never enough support to even begin to deal with this type of loss.
