Hi everyone, My name is Kristy and with me is my Fiance Bradley. This is Applejacks' origin story. Our cat family started with one. My son and daughter begged me for a kitten. My friend and co-worker had a friend with a little kitten that needed a home. I took him home with me. Diego, my Eggo. Four years later, here comes Bobo, our Siamese. My mom moved to Alaska and I took in her cat Bella. Bella was a Tortie. Bella was pregnant. She only had one kitten. Brad said I could keep a kitten, only if it was a boy. Bella only had one kitten, and it was a boy. Our Bobo. He was a daddy's boy. Diego lived to be 18 years old. Bobo lived to be 14 years old. Both passed due to kidney cancer. Bobo passed 3 years ago and Diego, my Eggo, passed away 2 years ago. In our grief, we said no more. It hurt too much. But then we noticed Diego showing signs of depression and Brad took Bobo's passing really hard. I couldn't watch either one of them cry or be sad anymore. So I went to a shelter one day and adopted the first little kitten who jumped into my arms. Her name is Embr Rose, a Torbie ... she instantly fell in love with Brad, her daddy, her person. He did the same. They love each other fiercely. Then a year later, I lost my Diego... I was devastated, and now Embr was alone. Brad saw my sadness. He found a little kitten hiding in a corner at the Petsmart... he saw his little black beans and said that's the one. His name was Applejacks. The shelter who brought them to my area from a kill shelter named the litter after cereal... hence Applejacks. His momma's name is Momma Trix and I know he has a sister named Golden Grahams... so cute! I fell in love with Applejacks instantly, and so did Embr and Daddy... Applejacks chose me... he knew my heart was hurting . I truly believe we rescued each other and he rescued Embr too. Applejacks had a routine annual appointment yesterday... After the annual appointment yesterday, we found out Applejacks has tooth resorption due to an autoimmune response... his body is attacking his gums. We spoke to the vet today. The only option is to extract the infected teeth. However, he has a random cough she's concerned about, so a blood test is needed. That test alone is $491.50. If we don't extract his infected teeth, they will continue to decay, even with brushing, and we are, but that only slows the progression... there is no cure. He will continue to get sick and his body could attack other organs. It's awkward for me to ask strangers for help, and it may seem silly to you, but to me, HE'S MY WORLD, MY EVERYTHING!!! He was brought to me, and I to him, for a reason. He healed my heart when I lost my best friend of 18 years... Diego, my Eggo. We healed each other's hearts WE CAN'T LOSE APPLEJACKS TOO!!! Please donate if you can. Anything helps!!! Thank you
