We are rallying around Brittney Kronauer and Raul Martinez as they navigate an intense and emotional journey with their twin boys, John William Martinez and Joseph James Martinez, born on May 9, 2026, at just 28 weeks and 6 days. These tiny warriors arrived far earlier than expected: John William weighed 2 lbs 5 oz, and Joseph James weighed 1 lb 15 oz. Both boys are in the NICU at Kaiser in Modesto, fighting bravely with the support of dedicated medical teams.
During this time, Brittney is healing slowly and managing ongoing medical issues after being diagnosed with HELLP syndrome—a serious pregnancy complication—while both Brittney and Raul make the daily commute from Stockton to Modesto, all while caring for their three daughters: Athena (7), Audrina (5), and Azaleah (4). We are also grateful for the guidance and resources from organizations like March of Dimes, which advocate for healthy moms and babies and provide NICU family support to help parents navigate the challenges of premature birth.
Your generosity will directly assist with ongoing NICU and medical expenses, gas, parking, and transportation for daily Stockton to Modesto trips, meals and essentials during long hospital days, childcare and support for Athena, Audrina, and Azaleah, lost wages and household needs while Brittney heals, and access to trusted resources as the twins grow stronger. If you’re unable to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser, sending messages of encouragement, or offering practical help (meal train, gas/grocery gift cards, childcare). You can also learn more and support the March of Dimes at [marchofdimes.org](https://www.marchofdimes.org). Thank you for standing with Brittney, Raul, John William Martinez, Joseph James Martinez, and their sisters. Your support brings strength, comfort, and hope during this challenging time.
With gratitude,
Kronauer and Martinez Families
