<p>I am reaching out to you on behalf of the <br />family of Khyrishaa Monae McClay-Briggs <br />who unexpectedly gained her wings on August7, 1987 at the age of 34. She was a Christian <br />woman, wonderful mother, daughter and <br />granddaughter.  She leaves behind three <br />children. <br /><br />Khyrishaa is the daughter of Rosetta and Kenneth McClay and granddaughter of Gordon andHarriet Brown.<br /><br />Funeral services are being held on Saturday, <br />August 22, 2020. <div><strong>A few months ago, Stephen was the victim of a hit-and-run accident here in Baltimore. He sustained serious injuries, including a cracked rib and a punctured lung, and was hospitalized and incapacitated for over three weeks. During that time, his scooter, his main ride to work, appointments, and essential errands, were taken to the city impound lot.</strong>

<div><strong>Although police told him he’d be able to retrieve it, the city initially stated it would cost over $1500 in fees to retrieve the scooter. After several discussions with Baltimore City officials, the city has reduced the "impound" and storage fee to a total of $260 fees. For someone recovering from trauma and unable to work during his recovery, even that reduced amount is still simply out of reach.</strong>

<div><strong>Please help Stephen get back on his feet (and back on his wheels). This scooter represents independence, dignity, and the ability to move forward after an incredibly difficult few months.</strong>
