Help Me March with the Crossmen This Summer

<div>We are all so saddened by the terrible and unexpected news of our friend passing away. Morris Kongbouakhay was loved by everyone. Always positive, caring, considerate, humble and good hearted, he has left us with amazing memories of friendship and love. He never met a stranger and has left this life having touched the hearts of every person he met.
</div>
<div>As much as we all loved him and mourn his much too early departure from this life, we cannot imagine the pain and struggle his family is going through. Arrangements for his burial are something his sister (Christina Velazquez) never imagined having to do so soon. We are creating this fund to relieve the financial strain of his passing so she can focus on remembering his life and healing her heart.

<div>He was my little brother, and I was supposed to protect him. I wouldn’t feel right if I wasn’t protecting him still, so this is my way of doing just that, by helping care for the family he loved so much as he was the sole provider.

<div>We lost him too soon, and our hearts are deeply broken. He leaves behind people who loved him deeply, including his 7-month-old daughter, who will grow up hearing about how much he loved her and the person her dad was.

In Memory of My Little Brother — Supporting His Daughter

<div>We are utterly devastated and heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Estella Ann. Estella left us on June 10th, 2024. She was 22 years old. Estella wisely and quickly called 911 after having difficulty breathing, which was a result of the asthma she had struggled with throughout her life. She was without oxygen for an extended period of time, and eventually left this life after a valiant week long fight in the ICU. She passed while surrounded by her loving family and friends.

<div>She was loved, cherished, and admired by many for her charitable spirit, compassionate heart, and truly kind soul. Fulfilling her wishes for organ donation, she was able to save the lives of complete strangers! Those who have been blessed by Estella’s selfless gift, as well as all who know and love each of the recipients, will be forever changed for the better because of her incredibly generous choice to be a full donor, which is rare.

<div>Though it brings her loved ones some comfort knowing others will not have to suffer as they have suffered, the loss has unavoidably left a huge hole in many hearts. In these times of mourning, we are coming together to celebrate her life, and offer a place (as has been asked for and requested) to express condolences and love by being allowed to help with some costs for the family related to when Estella was in the ICU, and of course, funeral expenses.

Honoring Estella: Assist Her Family's Journey

<div>As many may know, my brother has been battling pancreatic cancer since July of 2022. My brother continues to fight hard til this day for all the family, friends and especially his daughters. Unfortunately, he is now fighting while in hospice care. Many have asked if could contribute or give back to help support him so I started this page. For those who would like to visit him he is currently at Medical Center McKinney hospital, 3rd floor, Room 305. We appreciate all the love and prayers everyone has been giving us and him during this tough journey.

<div>Angelique was a loving, fun spirited young woman who had just turned 30. She was a working mother who had recently a promotion at her job. Most importantly, she was mother to Kharie (6), Khai (4) and Kace, who was born in January.

<div>On February 10th, only three weeks after giving birth, Angelique collapsed while shopping for cupcakes for Kharie and Khai's school Valentine's Day parties. She was rushed to the emergency room but doctors were unable to save her. The family is heartbroken by her sudden passing and for her three children.

<div>I recently had the opportunity to catch up with some good friends over dinner. We are all hard working mom's that, like many, have had our own struggles and lean on each other for guidance and support.
</div>

<div><br />One of my friends shared with us the story of her 12 year old son Miles coming home from school and asking if his best friend could live with them. I'm pretty sure at some point all of my kids have asked to have their BFF live with us so they can have endless days and nights of fun! However this ask was different. Mile's friend is the son of a single mother and he has 2 siblings, one brother and one sister. Mom lost her job due to an injury and has been trying to get back on her feet. She is doing all that she can to stay above water while dealing with a back injury which needs medical attention. The place she is living just declined to accept the government funding for her cost of living, which is meager at best. The thought of a struggling single mother being put out on the streets right before the holidays with 3 kids absolutely broke my heart. <br /><br />This sweet family is near and dear to my friend and she has taken the entire family into her home while they figure out the next step. We decided this platform would be something we could do to help them through this, or at least something to get them through the holidays. In the sprit of Thanksgiving, I am beyond thankful for the roof over my head and my tribe of friends that come together to face whatever life brings our way. Please help us help them! These past couple of days have been very hard on me and our family, getting updates from the hospital every few hours to see if my cousin Eva E Cabrera would pull through and come home. After fighting long and hard and in ICU for the past week. She received her wings this morning August 18, 2021. Eva was a few weeks short of turning 25. She leaves behind 3 young children, Angel, Yvette, and James. Our family would appreciate any donations for funeral costs and miscellaneous expenses. From Emily:<br /><br />"Our darling baby boy Roo was born on August 29th after a really tough 40 hour labor. He aspirated a serious amount of meconium when he came out and had to be taken to NICU and intubated immediately. He is currently hooked up to a life-support machine called the ECMO and will likely be here in the PICU for several weeks maybe months."<br /><br />Emily and Logan have been saving up all their funds to attend grad school in England at Oxford, and they did not anticipate any medical bills with the birth of their child.  While they do have the help of insurance coverage, there are still many costs they must cover out of pocket. <br /><br />They would appreciate any help they can get, in addition to prayers for their baby to continue to heal in the PICU.<br /><br />Thank you!
