As most of you know, I ask for donations to fund my <strong>Buckets that go out to agencies that have suffered the loss of a hero or that have worked a catastrophic event.</strong> Me and my supporters have done this for over 20 years now! Happy Bucket fundraiser for Heroes!

<div>Will you please consider supporting my long-time friend, Linda Andelin, with prayer or a donation of any size? The journey she has been on since September of 2020 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer has been a parade of life-altering battles. But first, a little about Linda.

<div>Raised in Huntington Beach, the youngest of seven and the only girl, Linda learned early from her beautiful mother how to be a strong woman and a fighter. She loves the ocean and bodysurfing, which she still enjoys if she is able. The beach has always been her place to release stress, and to gain courage and strength. If there is water nearby, or an adventure to try, Linda will be there. She is a lover of the outdoors, pretty flowers and nature in general. She is also a loyal friend to many, a fiercely loving mother and now grandmother. She is a member of the LDS Church and knows Jesus is her savior, now more than ever.

<div><strong>Breast cancer made an entrance in the fall of 2020.</strong> Being such a healthy woman in diet and lifestyle, this was quite the surprise to her and her family. Three of her four children were grown and beginning their adult lives and families. She lived with her oldest brother, David, whom she was so very close to along with her youngest daughter, Stephanie. Being the fighter that she is, Linda battled everything that cancer threw at her; MRIs, surgeries, testing, poking, treatment after treatment, expanders, more surgery etc. She was determined that her body would heal and in December of 2020 her PET scan came back clear! She was overjoyed that she would continue to live and enjoy all the “grand-nuggets” that were soon to come.

<div>Fast forward to 2023, and now her brother David was in his own battle with cancer. Unfortunately, that June he passed, leaving Linda to start preparations for his services. But just three days after losing her brother, <strong>Linda learned that her own cancer had returned, now in her liver.</strong> Again, she assembled her support team, refusing to just roll over and not fight. She continued her plan at the same time navigating what was feeling like a very broken and failed medical system. Linda has stayed positive and has been trusting God to help her through this and keep her strong.

<div>In February, just eight months after losing her brother, Linda was yet again facing tragedy that no parent ever wants to experience. Her beautiful, 20-year-old daughter Stephanie, was involved in an accident on the way to work requiring an induced coma upon arrival to the hospital. Linda had to make the heart-wrenching decision just days later to turn off life support and let her little girl go.

<div>Linda still battles in the midst of trying to grieve and hold her finances together to afford her own treatments as well as services for her sweet daughter. Unfortunately the car involved was Linda’s so she’s had to find a replacement to get herself to and from her appointments. Last week, Linda was laid off from her job so now we are reaching out for any amount of support. Prayer requests also that the two 7.5-cm tumors on her liver will shrink and that a new sonar treatment will be approved and successful. Additionally, that she will have many years to enjoy her children and grandbabies, the newest arriving the same month she lost her daughter. Linda wants to live! Thank you for any support.

Support Linda's Fight Against Cancer

<div>Thank you for visiting this page, we set this page up to help cover funeral costs &amp; traveling/relocating expenses for our Father, Kevin Moss. He lost his dear Melissa, the love of his life for the past 20+ years, unexpectedly on 11/11/2022. We are deeply grateful for all of the friends and family reaching out to see how we are doing. She was the most loving wife, mother, daughter, friend and his soul mate. We know she was greeted by her belated mother and son with open arms in heaven. Help Michael Beat Colon Cancer<br /><br /><br />Michael was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer, with metastasis to his liver and both lungs, in May 2019. For those fortunate enough to know this incredible human, the news was devastating and a huge shock. <br /><br />Mike is an incredible father of two beautiful children, Zoe 6 and Nolan 4, a dedicated Cornhusker Fan, fitness enthusiast and an incredibly loyal friend who will give you the shirt off his back if you needed it more than he did.  His passion is helping others through all stages of their life.<br /><br />He had always dreamed of becoming a police officer, like his late grandfather, and decided to make a career change to better serve the public. He was in the final stages of graduating from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department police academy when he discovered blood in his stool during an afternoon jog. Although he thought it was nothing to be concerned about, he still met with a gastroenterologist who performed a colonoscopy. Upon waking from anesthesia, and a routine check, he was informed of the devastating news. He had aggressive Stage IV Colon Cancer.   In spite of his diagnosis and receiving Chemo treatments Michael continued on his dream, determined to complete the Police Academy, he worked so incredibly hard, inspiring his fellow class mates and refusing to let anything stop him. He graduated with honors and was top of his class while tackling the news, and handling his chemo treatments. Upon graduating he had to then shift all focus on fighting for his life and staying healthy for his two beautiful children and new wife. <br /><br /><br />Over the past two years, he has received continuous chemotherapy treatments at the cancer center every other Wednesday, immediately followed by additional chemotherapy supplied via a pump connected to his chest, for another two days. Unfortunately, this past April 2021, Michael stopped responding to treatment and elected to live out his remaining limited time with his family attempting to create lasting memories. <br /><br /><br />In May 2021, Michael received an incredible gift and was informed about a remarkable new clinical trial at the Masonic Cancer Center  at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The clinical trial not only possesses the ability to extend life, but has the potential to be curative. In June 2021, he was accepted into the extremely selective clinical trial and is about to undergo a whirlwind journey in pursuit of a cure. While the clinical trial is promising, it does not cover much of the financial responsibility associated with participation, including, but not limited to, miscellaneous medical costs not covered by the clinical trial, airfare, housing, food and transportation related to the multiple round trips to and lengthy stays in Minneapolis, required to participate in the clinical trial. In the next two months he will have a long road. Our goal is 15,000. <br /><br />These funds will help in assisting not only him but his children and family as they take on this journey. Including costs of  housing, air fair and traveling, food, medical costs associated with the trial as well as medications needed and medical supplies for his battle. Our goal is to keep him and his family as stress and worry free with debt and every day living expenses so he can focus on kicking cancers ass. He needs our help. <br /><br /><br />We understand that times are difficult for many right now. Your donation will help Michael and his family immensely as he strives to live and beat colon cancer.  The thought of a potential cure is incredible and the hope we needed. This next two weeks are vital to his treatment and  we are grateful for any prayers and donations anyone can send. We set out for Minnesota this Monday and his first surgery is scheduled for 6/16.  Thank you to everyone for all of your love and support. I am asking for donations for my ‘Happy Buckets!!    For those that don’t know, these are buckets or boxes full of treats, games, and uplifting gifts that are sent to first responders around the country after they work a catastrophic event or tragically lose one of their heroes.  My agency received one of these ‘buckets’ after such an event and it’s my honor to continue to pay it forward.
