<div>The run will to raise money for Floresta Portelas Reserve in Penamacor, managed by Guardians Worldwide, an area onm the foothills of Serra da Malcata National Park: home to endemic species like the mongoose, wild board and Iberian lynx.

<div>The land was seriously affected by wild fires in 2025, and recently, by storm Kristin.
</div>
