<div>I write this with a very heavy heart. My dad, <strong>Windford Dail Phelps</strong>, tragically and suddenly passed away the morning of Father's Day 2026.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>He was a person who worked extremely hard for his family and loved them deeply. He was literally a person who wouldn't think twice about giving the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Family, friends, and community meant everything to him.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As we navigate this immense grief, our family is facing immediate, unexpected expenses to lay him to rest. <strong>We need to cover the upfront costs for his transport, the cremation process, and arranging a memorial service to honor his life and legacy.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are asking for your support to help bridge this financial gap during a very difficult time for our family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>All funds raised will go directly toward his cremation costs, funeral home fees, and bringing him to his final resting place. Any donation, no matter how small, helps immensely. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link with others.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and support during this devastating time.

<div>The Brister family has suffered a tremendous loss, a loss none of them were prepared for. Jordan Tyler Brister suddenly and unexpectedly suffered cardiac arrest while at school with no explanation as to why. Jordan was a senior in high school who planned to join the military after graduating. Words cannot express what the Brister family is going through and there will never be enough answers as to why this has happened. He was an amazing kid who loved life to the fullest.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We would like to raise money to help the Brister family pay for his final farewell during this very painful time. Any donation you can make to the GoFundMe link below will be given to the Brister family for Jordan's services and anything else they may need at this time. With the many challenges they are facing, let us come together and support them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please keep the Brister family in your prayers.

<div>Thank you for your support

<div>Hi my name is Janet and I’m fundraising for a funeral for my younger brother Gustavo Vega, who passed away Saturday November 19, 2022. We would really appreciate any help you offer.

Gustavo Vega

<p>Hello, we are asking for any family and friends that would like to help us offset the cost of the funeral expenses totaling over $10,000. We truly appreciate your love and support. If you would like to leave any special memories of Matina please add them to her Facebook page.
</p>

<p>Matina Isla Snow<br />January 5, 1940 - August 26, 2021<br /><br />Matina Isla Matthews was born in Tauranga, New Zealand on January 5th, 1940 to Clifferd and Rose Matthews. The fourth of 13 children, she grew up helping with all of her younger siblings and working long hours assisting with the family farm, which included raising crops, orchards, and animals.
</p>

<p>In her school years, she excelled in athletics, winning multiple trophies for her achievements.  Taken from her graduation letter dated November 1959: Matina has always been a keen basketball player and in 1955 played for her House. Since 1956 she has played in College teams, the B in 1956 and the A in 57, 58, 59. She was Senior Tennis Champion in 1958.  This year (1959) she is captain of Mansfield House Form Captain and a School Prefect. She has been a helpful Prefect and an excellent House Captain. Matina has always been a most conscientious worker. She has a pleasant cheerful personality and has shown good school spirit.
</p>

<p>After her school years, she studied and became a registered nurse at Tauranga Public Hospital in New Zealand. She continued nursing for many years in New Zealand.
</p>

<p>In 1964 Matina Isla Matthews married her husband Brian Baillie Snow who had four children: Pamela, Selwyn, Warren, and Hilda from a previous marriage. Matina and Brian have three sons: Talbot, Bradley, and Wendell. Their family emigrated to the United States in 1980 where they made Las Vegas their permanent home. Brian continued in sales and Matina worked as a registered nurse at Sunrise Hospital for almost 20 years.
</p>

<p>She was always generous and kind to everyone she met. Matina loved serving with the Boy Scouting program, whether in New Zealand or in the United States. Her love of the Scouting program began as she helped her father with Scouts in New Zealand and continued as Talbot, Bradley, and Wendell entered Cub Scouting. She continued to actively support Scouting as her grandsons entered the programs, helping with many Eagle projects and beyond. She was a dedicated Cub Scout Leader for over 50 years and earned her Woodbadge and was part of the Owl Patrol. She was also awarded the Influential Women in Scouting Award from the Las Vegas Area Council and received several other scout leader awards during her 50 years.
</p>

<p>She has been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She loved the gospel and rarely missed attending Church meetings. She was involved with Primary, Boy Scouts, and Relief Society (as Relief Society President). In addition to many other callings she delighted in serving and helping others, especially her immediate and extended family members.
</p>

<p>Matina would lovingly visit “older people” long into her own “older” years. She enjoyed ministering to her fellow sisters, on a consistent, monthly basis.
</p>

<p>She was well known for her hard work, kindness, endless generosity, and playful sense of humor, which was another way she demonstrated love. She dedicated her whole life to her family, especially her children and grandchildren, always looking for ways to help them, and to be with them!
</p>

<p>She was the loving mother of seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. She set a wonderful example for all of them of how to be kind and serve others.
</p>

<p>We will miss Matina so much, but we are grateful to know that she is now joined with her husband Brian on the other side.
</p>

<p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifferd Matthews and Ripine Rose Rahiri, and her siblings Luella Te Auetu Matthews, Bonnie Elline Matthews, Benjamin Rangininia Matthews, Clifford Midgley Matthews, William Douglas Matthews, Hal Dobson Matthews, Lu Hosanna Rose Matthews, Edwin Dan Gilbert Matthews, Wanda Moana Matthews, and Clara Violette Matthews.
</p>

<p>She is survived by her step-children, Pamela (Sylvo) Zak, Warren Snow (Kim Reed), Hilda Gamette, and her own children, Talbot Snow, Bradley (Tina) Snow, &amp; Wendell (Terreah) Snow; and her sisters Gail Hoana Matthews and Memorie Woana Matthews. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jackie, Mandy, Jana, Robyn, Tayla, Blake, Raven, Beauen, Darian, Andrew, Evyt, Chaz, Sierra, &amp; McKinley; and by 16 of her 17 great-grandchildren.
</p>

<p>Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 9th, at the LDS Meetinghouse at 1725 Palora Ave. The viewing will begin at 9 am followed by the funeral at 10 am. She will be interred at Eden Vale Memorial Park is located at 1216 N Las Vegas Blvd. Her graveside dedication will be held at 12 pm.<br /><br />Lastly, here is the link for the service on YouTube that will be live on Thursday at 10 am PST. <a href="https://youtu.be/5DnIgf6_DIc" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://youtu.be/5DnIgf6_DIc</a>

Help with Matina’s funeral services

<div>In the aftermath of the Highland Park, IL shootings on July 4, the North Shore community rallied to help a boy who we knew nothing about. We took him to safety under tragic circumstances, came together to locate his grandparents, and prayed for the safety of his family.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Sadly, I need to share his name…Aiden McCarthy. And he needs more of our help. His parents Irina &amp; Kevin were killed during the July 4 shooting. At two years old, Aiden is left in the unthinkable position; to grow up without his parents.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Aiden will be cared for by his loving family and he will have a long road ahead to heal, find stability, and ultimately navigate life as an orphan. He is surrounded by a community of friends and extended family that will embrace him with love, and any means available to ensure he has everything he needs as he grows.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>On behalf of his family, and with their permission, I am establishing this fundraiser to support him and the caregivers who will be tasked with raising, caring for, and supporting Aiden as he and his support system embark on this unexpected journey.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Thank you for your generosity, kindness and support.

<div><em>Thank you to everyone who participated here, and please know that all funds raised for the family through this first GoFundMe have been spent or accounted for and have covered many important needs, including: initial medical and therapy needs such as surgeries, treatments, and rehabilitation; specialized equipment; travel; beginning costs needed to secure a new home that can accommodate needed ADA adaptations; and investigation into additional treatments and approaches to address Cooper’s condition. <div>The friends of the Roberts family have created this fundraiser. Keely Roberts and her 8-year-old son, Cooper, were significantly impacted by the tragic events of the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois. Cooper’s brother Luke was also present, witnessed both of those injuries, and suffered emotional trauma that day. Cooper’s spinal cord was severed, and he is paralyzed from the waist down. After undergoing many surgeries, suffering complications, and spending weeks in the hospital and rehabilitation, he is now home where he continues to work with doctors, nurses, and rehabilitation experts on his healing and progress. Cooper continues to fight as hard as he can. We know the family’s medical bills will be significant, as will the treatments, therapy, and all of the equipment, devices, and needs in their home. Please continue to keep the Roberts family in your thoughts and prayers. Any help you can provide is deeply appreciated.

<div>Hi, My name is Seryna. The man in that video is my father. He has worked at his job for 27 years and yes, he has never missed a day of work. He originally began working at this job as a single father when he gained custody of me and my older sister 27 years ago. Then as our family grew and he remarried, he continued to work there because of the amazing health insurance that was provided through this employer because it was unionized. This got all four of his daughters through high school and college with full healthcare coverage. <br /><br />My dad continues to work there, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement. In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money but if anyone feels like blessing him he would love to visit his grandchildren.
