What they care about

My name is Katrina, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing eviction. I’ve done everything I can to keep up with my bills, but I’ve run out of funds and now need help to get through this transition. I’m not asking for help with rent, as I know this is an ongoing cycle for me. Instead, I’m focusing on making a plan for my eviction and moving forward. I’ve applied for disability, and once that comes through, I hope to find more stability and a new home. In the meantime, I’m donating as many of my belongings as I can so I can rent the smallest storage unit possible. The support from this fundraiser will help me cover the costs of moving—things like hiring movers, getting tape and bubble wrap for my breakables, and putting down a deposit on a storage unit. I’ll also need a P.O. Box to keep my mail secure during this time. Every bit of help will go directly toward making this difficult move possible and keeping my most important things safe. I never wanted to be in this position, and I don’t ask for help lightly. I have no family to turn to, and I’ve exhausted all other options. Your kindness in the past helped me keep shelter for a long time, and I’m deeply grateful for that support. Life is taking me down another fork in the road, and my hope is that this next chapter will be a more peaceful one. Thank you for considering helping me again—I appreciate your kindness more than words can say.
