<div>On April 30, 2025, in a City of Rochester public park, a white woman <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BS18BAwr4/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">launched a racist and hateful verbal assault on a </a> defenseless 5-year-old Black child—who, according to reports, is also on the autism spectrum. She called him the n-word, and when confronted by a bystander, she didn’t back down. Instead, she repeated the slur multiple times and attempted to justify her actions by blaming the child. At no point did she show any remorse.

<div>Let us be clear: this was not a misunderstanding or a moment of poor judgment—this was a deliberate, racist, and threatening attack on a young Black child. Public parks should be safe, welcoming places for all children and families—not sites of hate and trauma.

Help Us Seek Justice for a 5-Year-Old Facing Racial Hate

<p><strong>UPDATE: WE ARE RAISING MORE MONEY TO ALLOW THE PLANES TO KEEP DOING MORE TURNS.</strong><br /><br />We are coming to you in desperation to conduct an <strong>emergency flight rescue</strong> of 300+ Afghan souls. I have been working alongside humanitarian aid groups, decorated military veterans, and activists on the ground in Kabul, fighting to save people who otherwise have no chance at survival in the Taliban-occupied Kabul.<br /><br />The individuals in question are high-value targets - Afghan men and women who have worked as human rights lawyers, champions of Women’s and LGBTQ rights, journalists, government liaisons, artists, and interpreters - all of whom are at <strong>imminent risk of being executed by the Taliban,</strong> along with their families. We will be taking full family units.<br /><br />If these people do not get rescued as soon as possible, neither they nor their family will make it through the month. The Taliban have a KILL LIST and are going door to door, searching for these people and reportedly <strong>killing them on sight if found</strong>. Every one of these individuals on the manifest have been vetted.<br /><br />Due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Kabul, this rescue mission will only be possible if $550,000 is raised to fuel 2 airplanes to fly into Kabul from a foreign country.  <strong>If we raise twice the amount ($1,100,000), we’ll do another run. There are enough people in need to make many round-trips with our two airplanes. We will continue multiplying as goals are met. </strong><br /><br />With help from people on the ground in Kabul, and the newfound security of the airport due to increased US presence — we have arranged for a <strong>safe onboarding process</strong>. All of the people who will be boarding the planes have been extensively vetted.<br /><br /><strong>Every $1,500 raised represents a seat on one of the planes, and a life saved.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Please share wide and far, as hundreds of lives are at stake.</strong><br /><br /><strong>FUNDING</strong><br /><br />The money will be paid to and distributed from Raven Advisory, LLC, based in NC.<br /><br />Any overages in funds raised beyond flights will be donated to the International Women’s Media Foundation, who are actively helping with this rescue effort + settlement, to help the people we rescue start a new life. <br /><br />Destinations have been secured to allow our planes safe passage + landing, and locations cannot be disclosed until the flights have arrived safely. FLYAWAY: EMERGENCY AFGHAN RESCUE MISSION

I'm sure most of you have heard about the explosion in New York's East Village on March 26. Friend, fellow Davidson classmate, and all-around good person McKenzie Roese lived right above the expolosion in 121 2nd Ave and consequently lost her home and all her possessions in the subsequent fire. McKenzie and her roommates are all ok which is, of course, the most important thing but there will be a lot of expenses as they replace all they lost. This fund has been set up to help relieve some of the stress in the coming weeks as McKenzie starts to tackle the process of finding a new home and buying new wordly posessions. All funds will go straight to McKenzie (she's the only one that has the ability to withdraw what is raised) so she can buy new clothes, furtniture, find a new apartment, etc.<br /><br />P.S. because Go Fund me apparently doesn't trust me, I now have to include that my name is Laura Hain, I'm McKenzie's friend from college (Davidson College - go wildcats!) and I currently live in New York, just down the street from the explosion.
