Courtney Warren, or as many of you know her, “Coco,” is currently hospitalized at Mass General Hospital, facing the toughest battle of her life. For the past four years, Courtney has bravely fought an ongoing liver condition—one that has suddenly and seriously worsened over the last month. She is now undergoing urgent evaluation for a potential liver transplant, a possibility that brings both hope and fear during an already overwhelming time.

The emotional and financial strain has been immense. <div>On Tuesday, June 10th life as Michelle and Josh knew it came to a crashing halt. While riding his motorcycle in Arizona, Josh was struck by another vehicle and has suffered extensive injuries. A broken back, broken neck, a broken clavicle, a shattered shoulder blade, a lacerated spleen, puncturing of both lungs, and all broken ribs were just the initial injuries. Emergent surgery was detrimental for stabilization as the injuries Josh sustained were life threatening.

<div>Since the accident, Josh has successfully undergone multiple surgeries, but has many ahead. Although the overall prognosis for Josh is positive, the road ahead is a long one. With more time in the ICU, still more weeks being hospitalized, and then time at a rehab center Josh’s medical care and treatment will be long and very expensive.

<div>Once Michelle was notified, she was on the first plane to Phoenix to be with Josh. Having taken a leave of absence from work to be with Josh, oversee his medical care, and be a physical presence as he recovers. Josh’s family is trying to determine when Josh will be able to safely return to Massachusetts. What will the medical expenses be? How long is being on leave sustainable? What obstacles will Josh be facing long term?

2023 Fundraiser

This fundraiser is to benefit one of the strongest women we all know. Christine is a single mother of 6 (ages ranging from 5 to 21), that would do anything for anyone (and has already). She is currently on her second battle with this awful disease, just when things looked like they were so much better, she got some of the worst news, her cancer indeed spread to other places, making her stage 4. She can't go back to work as a school bus driver that she has been doing since 2012. She is still the provider for her babies, still has all the bills mortgage etc. Without being able to work puts extra added pressure on her that she definitely doesn't need at this moment. <div>I was shopping at Walmart the other day, and was waited on by an 82yr old man named Butch. As a business owner and knowing how hard it's been to try to find good help for my business. I was astounded seeing this little older man still grinding. Working 8 to 9 hour shifts. Recently seeing a gofundme for a 82 yr old lady working at Walmart on Tik Tok, and seeing they raised money for her to retire for good. I wanted to help this Navy Veteran to live the remainder of his years traveling to see his kids in Florida. Get him off his feet for 8 hrs at a time. And do the things he would love to do that he may not be able to for financial reasons. Every penny will go to Butch. Janette, the daughter of Butch, has confirmed that I can withdraw the funds on behalf of her father and send them outside of GoFundMe. <div>On Saturday August 13th, the Wojieck family suffered a devastating loss when Brian succumb to his injuries from a falling accident earlier in the day while putting the finishing touches on his family's dream home. Brian leaves behind his beautiful wife Jacelyn, and their 5 shared children, Graclyn, Braden, Anthony, Charlotte, and Nolan. Brian brought a light into this world that will never be forgotten. <div>Hello, My name is Curtis Cowell. My oldest son, Dylan, has been fighting for his life since May 1st. He was found unresponsive, suffered a stroke and is currently in ICU at Berkshire Medical Center. We do not know what the future holds for his recovery. He’s going to need long term medical care in a rehabilitation center, and we are uncertain whether he will ever be able to walk or talk again. He recently had a procedure for a tracheotomy and a feeding tube placed. We are praying every day that Dylan becomes stronger and starts to come back to us. It’s so hard to see your child go through something like this and there Isn’t much you can do for him other than wait to see how his recovery turns out. My family and I are trying to maintain our everyday lives, while being at Dylan’s side as much as we can. While trying to do all of this, my youngest son and daughter continue to have infusions at Mass General Hospital and Baystate Hospital, and I am also trying to keep the North Adams Babe Ruth League up and running. We are also trying to extend Dylan’s medical insurance and the medical bills have started to arrive already. <div>In December Pat was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of his tongue that metastasized to some of the surrounding lymph nodes. After a very extensive surgery of removing more than half of his tongue and the affected lymph nodes, reconstructing it with tissue from his thigh and other areas of his body, he continues to fight obstacle after obstacle before he can even begin his chemo and radiation treatments! Requiring extensive dental work and having to have many teeth extracted. He is currently being nourished through a feeding tube.

<div>Pat is a hard working man with a beautiful heart who loves his family and friends! He and his fiancé Kim have been trying very hard to stay positive and sane during this very challenging time. Their lives have been completely turned around. Pat sees many doctors that span across the state. The medical expenses, travel, hotels, food, etc is all adding up fast. Not to mention household expenses as well! Kim was offered a wonderful job opportunity just before Pat's diagnosis and unfortunately she was not able to take it. She is Pat's sole caregiver and has a full time job of coordinating and getting Pat to appointments, caring for him and all of their animals, on top of all of the other household and daily duties.

As may of you know my nephew Asher had been fighting a rare brain cancer. The morning of March 24, 2022 at 6:31 am he lost that battle. I would like to thank all of you that sent prayers and donations to his go fund me as well as your well wishes and heartfelt words of support. It means the world to Carter and his family. Every little bit helps.<br /><br />On December 4th Carter LaCasse was diagnosed with Leukemia. Usually Leukemia "nicely" fits into 1 of two types (myeloid or lymphoma) and then for lymphoma there are two sub types (type B cell and type T cell). Carter's cells are showing all 3 types which is extremely rare. So more specifically, Carter has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Chemotherapy began on December 10th. This little boy and his family have had a difficult few weeks already with many more to come.

<div>His mom, Crystal Czerno, is a teacher at Pittsfield High School, a coworker of mine, and one of my best friends in the entire world. She is strong beyond belief but this journey will not be easy on her, Carter, or Carter's brother, Tyler. On July 3rd he took a bad fall down the stairs and hit his head pretty hard. After an MRI of the brain, they discovered a tumor on his brain stem. De'Moni was sent to Boston Children's hospital where more testing showed that the tumor is cancer (further testing is in progress to determine the type and severity of it). But what they know right now is that the tumor is inoperable. He will have to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments. The tumor can affect his speech, movements, breathing and pretty much anything in his neurological system.

<p>De'Moni's journey is just beginning and it is going to be a very long road for him and his family. His Mom and Dad are by his side every step of the way and they are going to need lots of support right now! This is a beautiful young family that has already gone through many adversities and have managed to stick together through it all. De'Moni is a happy, silly, beautiful little boy with a big heart and he is the best big brother to his little sister! He loves basketball and video games!

De'Moni's Road to Recovery

Skip and Patty Johnson have been dedicated members of the West Stockbridge Congregational Church in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts for many years.<br /><br />Skip has lived with serious health problems for a long while including heart disease, Parkinson disease, diabetes, kidney failure, and tumors in his stomach and lungs.  Patty has been by Skip's side through every crisis; every surgery; and at  every doctor's appointment.   As Skip's primary caregiver, she needs to be able to communicate with doctors, social workers and home health aides.  <br /><br />Unfortunately Patty is now facing the challenge of hearing loss and cannot act as Skip's advocate without the help of hearing aids.<br /><br />The problem is that hearing aids are extremely expensive.  The hearing aids that Patty needs cost $6,000.  Although the Johnsons live on a limited fixed-income, they have decided to take out a loan to cover the cost because they cannot live without this critical medical device.  Making monthly payments will be difficult and might mean that they are forced to live without many basic needs. <br /><br />We'd like to try and help the Johnsons raise funds to pay off the loan sooner than later.  Please consider contributing to this fundraiser to help pay for Patty's hearing aids.

As many of you know, four years ago my brother was diagnosed with a stage four glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer with a typical life expectancy of 18 months. Yet here I sit nearly four years later feeling both devastated and lucky. <br /><br />Today, we say goodbye to Jason Bennett: father, son, brother, uncle, veteran, coach, and friend. We had nearly four years of fishing trips, comedy shows, family gatherings, and so much more that others who struggle with this fatal diagnosis never get. <br /><br />I have been asked by so many, how can we help. Getting through the transition of this month, taking time off work and managing funeral expenses will be challenging. Making this page is surreal. The story of Liann's life is a beautiful one but the story of her death is sudden and heart breaking.<br /><br />Liann passed away on January 1, 2017 due to unforseen complications following the birth of her first child,  Wyatt Joseph Buck, born just 4 days prior. <br /><br />This page to raise money for her husband Eric and the baby as well as to help with any expenses for the family.<br /><br /> As this is a sudden and unexpected tragedy the costs are a burden, a burden we can all collectively help lift.<br /><br />God Bless.
