**** English / Italian below **** Hallo, mein Name ist Kati und ich sammle spenden für Martin Odong, aus einem abgelegenen Teil Ugandas - Moroto. Martin ist ein wichtiges Mitglied seiner Community und engagiert sich seit vielen Jahren in sozialen Projekten, zum Beispiel UN Women, als Berater, Kommunikator und Verbindungsglied zwischen Organisationen und den Menschen in Moroto. Moroto, in der Region Karamoja, gehört zu den ärmsten Städten Ugandas, es fehlt an vielen Dingen, Infrastruktur, Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung, Bildung etc. Die Nahrungssicherheit ist durch den Klimawandel weiter unter Druck geraten und die Menschen können sich nicht mehr auf die Saisons verlassen (Regen-/Trockenzeit). In dieser angespannten Situation braucht Martin unsere Unterstützung. Ausgelöst durch eine parasitäre Infektion leidet Martin an Elefantiasis, eine abnorme Vergrößerung von Körperteilen durch Lymphstau. Seine Mobilität ist dadurch stark eingeschränkt und auch das Fahren mit einem Motoradtaxi ist kaum noch möglich. Martin, ein sozialer M ensch und ein wichtiges Mitglied seiner Community, braucht ein Elektromobil, um sich seine Selbstständigkeit erhalten zu können. Diese werden als Spezialanfertigung extra in Mbale gebaut und die Kosten belaufen sich auf 3000-4000€. Jede Spende, wenn auch noch so klein, bringt uns dem Ziel näher. In this tense situation, Martin needs our support. Triggered by a parasitic infection, Martin suffers from elephantiasis, an abnormal enlargement of body parts due to lymphatic obstruction. Martin, a sociable person and an important member of his community, needs an electric mobility device to maintain his independence. These are custom-made in Mbale, and the costs amount to €3000-4000.
