<div>On January 17, 2026, in Sacramento, California, an anti-ice community member was attacked and his vehicle was severely damaged. His windshield and side window were smashed, leaving him with unexpected repair costs and physical and emotional distress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser will help cover the cost of repairing his vehicle and supporting him as he recovers. Any amount helps, and we’re grateful for the community coming together in support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>updates as of 2/3/2026:
</div>
<div>I’m Ashley, a friend of Scott’s through our local volunteering community in Sacramento county. After his brutal attack, the community expressed that they wanted to raise funds to help him repair the damage and to support him financially while his living conditions had changed due to the attack. The money will go directly to Scott to help with daily living expenses and any legal support if needed. All funds will go to Scott, minus the % that go-fund-me takes. Scott is the beneficiary, as he was the one who was brutally attacked.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are ending this fundraiser so that Scott can collect the generous funds for the community at this time. Thank you all for the quick outreach and love.

Help After Violent Attack on Peaceful Protester

<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As most of you know I’ve struggled with reliable transportation for a very long time. Even when I had transportation, it was painful to sit in a seat that was not my own wheelchair. I’ve been able to make do the last few years when living in San Diego, but moving back inland has made it impossible to get anywhere. I currently just finished my first semester of grad school where we have opportunities to gain hours for licensure. Unfortunately, due to my lack of transportation, I have missed out on these opportunities and a way to become established in my career. Not to mention, I have had to miss a handful of doctors appointments as there’s no option for county-to-county medical transport.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This gofundme would go towards a down payment + fees for a 2020 Toyota Sienna that is fully converted into an accessible van. I would be able to ride in my own wheelchair. I would be able to blast music down PCH with friends. My friends and I wouldn’t have to rent a van just to go out for the day. I wouldn’t have to spend extra time waiting on public transit where I feel myself and my chair are not safely considered. I would be able to pursue my dreams. I would have long-awaited independence and freedom. I would have a life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve always had an insanely hard time asking for help. Even when friends have suggested crowdsourcing in the past I’ve always felt guilty and tried to find another way of obtaining an accessible van myself, but this truly is my only option. Any help would be so deeply appreciated &lt;3 Even if you can’t donate, sharing would be enough. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dear all,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For your information and complete transparency:
</div>
<div>I am a good friend making this Gofundme on behalf of Ashley, who would be disqualified from receiving her disability benefits if she suddenly came into the large sum of money necessary to buy her an accessible van (aka freedom). Currently, she has no reliable transportation to meet her basic daily needs and career goals as she attends graduate school in Southern California. Public transport and streets are unreliable and unsafe for a disabled woman to use in this area. At this time, if a medical emergency were to occur, her only way to get to the hospital is by $10,000 ambulance ride. With an accessible van, Ashley would gain long awaited independence in her daily life. We will be signing on the car together to keep her right to disability payments intact. Under current federal financial regulations for the disabled population, forced poverty is the norm. There are limitations to the assets a disabled person can have in their name before they are disqualified from federal financial assistance. These limitations have inhumane and violent consequences.
</div>
<div>Please consider giving. If you have little to spare, $7-10, would make a huge difference. Your donations are life-changing. Thank you.

Help Ashley Get An Accessible Van for Basic Needs

<div>Andy was in a terrible car accident and suffered a stroke. He is still in rehab working through his injuries. Mary and the kids were also in a serious accident four days ago and are now home recovering. The Haire family is always there to lend a helping hand so we want to be there to help in their time of need. Anything is appreciated!

Help Andy and the Haire family!

<div>Dear Santa Rosa Friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With much anguish we regret to share that Anthony Reyes, our high school senior, passed on December 28th. As we gather around the family who must endure another tragic loss, please consider donating again to support them in this time of need. The family is struggling financially from the recent loss of Mr. Reyes in September, so they will need extra support to cover the cost of final arrangements for Anthony. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Support for Reyes Family

<div>Michael McCormick passed away on October 22, 2021. His family has set up this page to support others who have struggled with the same substance use disorder and to give back to the community that supported him in his efforts towards recovery.  Michael was always helping and encouraging others and as a family we want to give back to the community that supported him.  We appreciate all donations &amp; your support means so much to our family.

Paradise, CA was ground zero for the tragic Camp Fire earlier this week. Close family, Rick &amp; Elissa and Brian &amp; Rita lost their homes to this fire on Thursday (11/8/18). With very little time to evacuate, neither family was able to pack any belongings as they ran from the fire. Rick and Elissa have two little boys and a dog, Eli (age 6), Mac (age 2) and Wookie. Rick has been employed by the Water District in Paradise for the last six years. For the last three years, Rita has been a nurse at Feather River Hospital, which was severely damaged. It is uncertain at this point whether or not Rick and Rita have their jobs to return to. They have learned that Eli's school has burned down as well.  Right now both families are temporarily relocated 150 miles away from Paradise. The family is in need of money for lost wages, clothing, groceries, toiletries, and housing accommodations. Extended family members are collecting home goods and toys to furnish their rebuilding efforts. For non-monetary donations please contact Becky at <a href="mailto:[email redacted]">[email redacted]</a> The funds are needed immediately to keep them moving forward in this difficult time, with home goods and toys at a later date.<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/34395856_1541871344538222_r.jpeg" alt="34395856_1541871344538222_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/34395856_1541871435247084_r.jpeg" alt="34395856_1541871435247084_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />
