A Dignified Farewell for David Barrett Sr.

<div>My name is Kristin and my son's name is Ayden. He is 13 years old and was diagnosed with autism at 22 months old. This is hard for me to ask for public help, but with how times are, I am going to try for him.

<div>We have a camp and the yearly dues are due soon, and with how times are, I just don't have it. I do work, same job for 19 years, but I live paycheck to paycheck, and with the cost of things, I just don't have it. <strong>My son has grown into an amazing young man and his favorite place to be in the summer is camp.</strong> And if I don't get the dues paid, we will lose it. <strong>He has been through so many struggles in life and overcome so much, so I feel I need to try something I would never do to help so we don't lose his favorite place to go.</strong>

<div><strong>On July 11th, Lyndonville was hit with epic flooding.</strong> This flooding had water coming up into their backyard. Andy worked hard to restore the running water. He was awaiting testing if it was drinkable after bleaching the pipes on July 28th...

<div><strong>On July 30th, a couple of weeks after the initial flooding, a flash flood destroyed their property.</strong> This time the flood waters raged towards Andy's shop, removing ALL the equipment and materials inside, making it a complete loss. It flooded their basement, destroyed the well water system, and the whole backyard is now a pile of debris.

Support Andy and Teresa's Flood Recovery

<div>Last week my mother went in for surgery after fighting diverticulitis for nearly a year, unable to get rid of one infection before another one occurring within weeks. 24 hours post operation she became critically Ill and went into septic shock. She was rushed into a second surgery, after too much time had already passed, to repair a hole that was leaking into her abdomen. She came out of the second surgery on life support. In the early morning hours the following day she was flight lifted to UVM medical center as she wasn’t maintaining a high enough blood pressure to keep her organs from shutting down. After a long few days she was finally able to come off the ventilator. Ever since it seems we are still jumping hurdles to get her on the straight path forward. Right now there is suspicion of yet another infection that could potentially lead to yet another surgery. It will all take time, lots of time. She’s already so exhausted and still has so much work to do. My hopes for this funding is that she can go home some day and not only rest her body, but her mind after returning to life again. Because she will be dealing with so much more than the physical recovery, she will be mending her soul forever after this experience.

<div>Hi, my name is Lena, and I am raising money for my family displaced by the war in Ukraine.  On March 4th, my aunt Tanya, cousin Olya, and her 4-month-old son Severyn fled Ukraine. Olya said goodbye to her husband Pasha and boarded a bus with her infant son and mom to Poland, a journey that would take 20 hours.

<div>My family purchased airline tickets for our relatives so they could stay with us in San Jose, California, during this incredibly difficult time. Tanya, Olya and Severyn boarded their flight from Katowice, Poland, to Frankfurt, Germany, with their final destination set for San Francisco.

<div>Unfortunately, when they arrived in Frankfurt, Severyn was denied boarding because he did not have the proper documentation to enter the U.S. While Tanya and Olya have a passport and a visitor visa, 4-month old Severyn does not.  The problem is Ukrainian passports are only issued in Kyiv, Ukraine, and the passport office is not operating. So now they are stuck in a foreign country, with no resolution in sight.

Over the last week, we were notified that two of the gigs that we were to be playing this tour have been cancelled due to the pandemic. Our first cancellation was the VA Highland Games. A week later, we were notified that the North Carolina Ballon Festival was also cancelled. This situation has put the band at a huge financial disadvantage.

I am raising funds to support one of my best friends and her family. The Canine Club in Bridgeville was dramatically affected by the flash flood on June 20, 2018. The owners did everything they could, even swam through 6 feet of water mixed with sewage, to save all of the dogs they could. She lost five dogs, several rabbits, and kittens. It is a total loss. They are devastated to say the least. We greatly appreciate any and all donations. Dog Daycare Flood

<p>As you know Hurricane Maria is decimating the island of Puerto Rico.  On The Upwind Flying Club along with other members and community organizers are once again taking to the skies to help.  Once the island stableizes from the storm and the airport reopens, On The Upwind Flying Club will be flying need goods and supplies to the island.

<p>We are just a group of pilots that have the want and the ability to help! We helped tremendously when Hurricane Irma impacted the Florida Keys just days ago and we are ready to help Puerto Rico but we need your help!
</p>
<p>The funds will be used for buying the needed supplies(baby diapers, wipes, batteries, work gloves, first aid kits, etc)  to procuring transportation for all the physcial donations that we have received across the country! The auction was held on Saturday, July 8th. The main barn is virtually empty and all the equipment is gone.<br /><br />The Milky Way Farm was opened in 1984 by Robert Hayward Clark, Sr. Robbie's dad. Originally from New Jersey, Bob's passion for farming began at the age of two while spending summers at his grandparents small Vermont family farm. In 2004, Robbie joined him and together they worked side-by-side for 11 years until, sadly, his dad and partner died of metastatic prostate cancer at the age of 69.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizeable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/18356902_1490930006.088_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><strong>￼</strong><br /><strong>Robbie's livelihood and his dad's legacy are now on "life support." </strong> With persistence and determination, we continue to work to get Robbie's message out to everyone who cares about small family farms. They are essential to our state and national economy, landscape, and identity. Save the Milky Way Farm

Late Tuesday night, Feb 9th 2016, Zach was part of a horrible accident. He was badly burned when a gas can caught fire exploding on him and is suffering horrible burns to his face, neck, stomach, and even his lungs, which is his toughest battle at this point. Zach will need extensive surgeries and has a very long recovery ahead of him. He was transferred to Boston, MA and will stay at the burn center for a few weeks, as of right now. Zach and his family reside in Wheelock, Vt so any donation will help as his family will be traveling quite a bit. Thoughts and prayers are appriciated.
