<div>Hello, my name is Jaclyn Evans. I am the Administrative Assistant for League 42 Foundation. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the love of baseball to the youth in our city.

<div>On behalf of League 42, and our Executive Director, Bob Lutz, I am reaching out to the public to help us replace our beloved Jackie Robinson statue. Money donated will go directly to this cause. Any donations that exceed our goal will be put to use to fund our operational needs, including our four education programs.

<div>League 42 tries to embody the spirit of Jackie Robinson, our namesake, who was born on this day, Jan. 31, 105 years ago. In 2021, we erected a lifesize statue of Jackie at our baseball complex inside McAdams Park in Wichita, Kansas. Recently, that statue was cut off just above Jackie's shoe tops and stolen from its rightful place. It was found in disrepair and cannot be repaired As law enforcement searches for the culprits of this crime, we remain devoted to our mission of providing low-cost baseball and education opportunities for our 600 kids, ages 5-14. They are as heartbroken over this theft as any of us and we are determined to replace the statue. We also use donated funds to operate our facilities and education initiatives, which include Bright Lights, Passion Project, Bats and Badges and Full Count. We are devoted to helping our 600 kids in any way we can. We also are working to install better security around the statue area and new lights and artificial turf for two of our playing fields. <div>We are the Nakihei/Rodriguez family - Andrew "Bulla" Nakihei, Maria Nakihei, our two beautiful daughters, Oaklee (3), Kaia (1) and Maria’s brother Alex Rodriguez who lived with us as well. Our lives took an unexpected turn when a devastating wildfire swept through Lahaina town.

<div>The loss of our business (HI Surf Club), our jobs (Feast At Lele Luau) &amp; the rest of our town is heart wrenching, but the safety and well-being of our family is our top priority. <div>It is with great sadness that we post this fundraiser for our dad. Less than a month ago, he was fine, and now he's fighting for his life. He's been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and we are keeping so much hope! He has begun treatment and resting as much as he can. Most of you know he runs his own business; without him, there is no business. So I'm hoping he will focus on his health and not worry about anything else. But as we received this shocking news, it seems worry is the only thing we've done.

HELP FOR ANDY SCHAP

<p>Hi - As many of you know last October Steve Milford was hit by a car who drove off and left Steve unconscious. They never caught the driver and Steve has had to incur many medical costs because of injuries from  the accident. He recently had surgery on his shoulder to repair and reattach ligaments that were damaged in that accident.  Even with insurance the out of pocket costs was in the thousands. Let's help our friend out who has helped so many of us before!

Help Steve with medical costs

Join me in partnering with the Big Homies Club to provide essential food and care packages to families in Bronzeville! Food scarcity is an ongoing worry for many families in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood - due to the current Covid pandemic, high unemployment throughout the country, and a long history of systemic underfunding of schools and social services.<br /><br />Our Goal is to raise $7,500 to supply care packages for 300 families. A donation of just $25 will support one family, however any donation is appreciated.  <br /><br />When: Friday, July 31st from 12-7 PM<br /><br />Where: Overton School (221 E. 49th St.)<br /><br />The compelling reasons we chose to uplift the Bronzeville Neighborhood:<br /><br />Population: 94% Black<br /><br />Median Household Income: $20,444<br /><br />Single Mother Households: 38.3%<br /><br />Service Industry as an occupation: 44.8%

<p>Maggie is an amazing mother, friend, coworker, dog mom, plant whisperer and hell raiser. On 6/16 she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and rushed into surgery in the middle of the night. Luckily, she is recovering well and on the road to healing. However, medical bills and other expenses can pile up at times like these. Please donate whatever you can to help an amazing woman who brings a smile to all our faces.

Goodkind had to shut it's doors due to concerns about Covid 19 which left many of the staff without a steady income coming in. Goodkind would not be where it is without their staff and their dedicated involvement in community, building relationships with guests, and working hard everyday. We the staff members, ask for your support during this difficult time.  We appreciate and are humbled by the opportunity we had to have cooked, create drinks, and serve each &amp; every one of you.
