Hi everyone, I never thought I would be in a position where I’d need to ask for help. As hard as this is to share, I’m reaching out because I’m at a critical point and could really use support. I am a recovering addict in my eighth year of recovery and have successfully stayed clean. I’ve been actively working on this process that takes everything one has, emotionally and financially. While recovery has been life-changing and necessary, it has also made it harder to keep up with bills while I focus on staying healthy and stable. This past year has been especially challenging as I lost my father and later in the year my toxic job at Recovery Centers of America where I was assaulted by a client working a double, instead of doing what was right they covered it up, and I was let go. I have used up my emergency funds while I attempt to find a new job. Right now, my storage unit is at risk of being auctioned if I am unable to bring it current by Wednesday 01-21-2026. This will mean losing most of my personal belongings and saved memories. I’m also struggling to keep my housing secure. It seems as if every step I move forward, I get pushed three steps back. I’m doing everything I can to improve my situation, but the expenses have piled up faster than I can handle alone. This fundraiser is to help me catch up and breathe again—to have a safe place to live and stay on top of the bills, so I can move forward.
