<div>. 9 months ago lI went into the emergency room and had severe abdominal pain the doctor ran some tests and blood then it was like getting hit by a crate train BOOM , your going to die . Stage 4 cancer . And walked out of the room quickly no I’m sorry just ice cold . I was admitted into a hospital I will not say names and was given end of life drugs and treatment plan I’m 39 years old I want to live so that was not what I wanted . Someone close to me could see they were trying to give me end of life care and rushed me to Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles ,Ca . They admitted me and started chemo and stopped me from getting sepsis which they said in 4 more days I would have died .. I was in the hospital for my first chemo and a week after that just to get me stable again they placed a port in my chest in surgery and gave me my first chemo did more tests and a scan to read my tumors told me then I was misdiagnosed with a tumor that didn’t exist  . My doctors now put me on treatment chemo or known as infusions each one 6 hours each time . Tons of medication . And here we are me and my internal fight 9 months later still fighting the BIG C  I had genetic testing done which showed it was not genetic . They did six treatments of chemo shrunk the 12 centimeter tumors in surgery removed part of my colon and got the tumors they could see then it was another three months of chemo .. then it’s chemo pills for two years of my life . I had 150 staples and could not walk for months . I have no one to help me no family to step up . I’m a mom of two children who I’m fighting this battle to see again one day I pray for that day . I filled out for COVID 19 assistance my apartment ruined my application and got me denied now they are telling me to get out or ruin my credit with an eviction my immune system is very low and I can barely be out the sun hurts . So now I’m at a point where I’m 27,000 in debt to my apartment my car needs 800 in repairs I have to drive 5 hours total to see my doctor as they are in LA and I have no choice .  I’m being told to leave so I’m trying to sell everything I own online I don’t know what to do so this is a human begging other humans for help I need desperately I came to California to act it is my dream was born here and now CANCER is taking everything away from me .. if you can help please I have had a 15 hour surgery to remove tumors .. weeks in and out of the hospital on a special diet to help combat cancer my travel expenses to and from doctors  and medications I have not been able to work for a year due to being sick coming here and pleading for prayers and help if you can send it please share my story and keep me in your prayers I’m in this fight alone God knows I appreciate it from the my heart to yours  I want you all to know some of the treatments are not covered by insurance and will be gotten at the cancer center in Irvine California the treatments are expected to be paid for in cash on the day of treatment . This is is why the help is needed so badly daily cancer expenses are thru the roof between diet , gas and travel and lodging as well as all the supplements and alkaline water and special foods these things are  working I need your help to keep them working . HELP STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT FIGHT

<div>Luna was recently diagnosed with 2nd degree high grade AV block. Her heart is unable to keep up with the demand of her body. She is (was) the healthiest &amp; most active 13 year old dog you'd ever meet. This kind of came out of nowhere after showing a low heart rate at the ER. (photos at the end)

<div><strong>Her Story</strong>

<div>Luna was found in the woods of Asheville beaten and malnourished early 2010. A very nice family had taken her in but after 8 months Luna and their dog were not working out very well together.

<div>I was 21 at the time. I had just gotten suspended from college, was living alone, drinking heavily to combat my feelings of low self worth and not making very good life decisions. I've been obsessed with dogs since I can remember. The first dollar I ever made was when I started pet sitting at the age of 9. I absolutely loved it. I always knew I’d eventually get a dog and now felt like the time.

<div>I found Luna (named Sookie from True Blood at the time) on craigslist while looking for german shepherd mixes. When I got to the family's home I was expecting to see a big manly looking dog, but instead a very timid head peaked around the corner &amp; disappeared to bark from somewhere safe. After a few minutes of talking to the family Luna’s head appeared again. I got down on my knees and not only did Luna come straight up to me, she stood up and put her paws on my shoulders and gave me a few kisses. The mother instantly started crying because she said Luna had NEVER approached anyone at the house in the 8 months they had her. Every time I think about that moment I get emotional because had she not I don’t think I'd have taken her. Needless to say, she became my dog that day.

<div>The first month was tough. She obviously had trust issues as she hid in a corner and didn’t let me pet her. It took a little over a week to get her to eat her food. I found out she was petrified of feet so I believe she used to be kicked. Every day for 3 months I would leash train her. We visited the dog park 2x a day. I did everything I could to get her to trust others and be more comfortable in her surroundings. It really tested my patience and commitment and led me to walk a better path for both of us.

<div>She slowly started to trust again. It was a beautiful experience to be a part of. There were two times I could not keep Luna due to living/work situations and I even posted her for adoption at one point. That tore me up. But three very incredible souls (forever grateful for Jodi, Andy &amp; Logan) took Luna in for months at a time until I got back on my feet. We’ve never been apart since.

<div>Luna loves to be free. We aren't fans of leashes. Camping, hiking, swimming, sunbathing… she’s the definition of an adventure dog and luckily I’ve been able to provide that lifestyle for her. Unfortunately now with her heart we can no longer do her favorite things. Even at 13 she has so much energy and the meds she’s on keep her, and myself, anxious. I know when Saturday rolls around she’s going to be expecting to go to the lake as we do every weekend.  It’ll break my heart to tell her no :(

<div>This dog has saved me in ways I can not explain. I've spent my entire adult life with her by my side. There is nothing like her pure unconditional love and energy. I always tell people she keeps me young lol. She is the equivalent to my child and I just want her to be as comfortable as possible while she’s still with us.

<div><strong>Our situation</strong>

<div>As of right now we are on some meds to keep her heart going. She's doing fairly well with them but her heart could still stop at any moment. Every time I come home I pray it hasn't. Luckily I have gotten a new role within my company that will enable me to work semi remote. It would be ideal to move into this role before surgery as the recovery is a month long process. 
</div>

<div>I am not one to ask for help. I much prefer to be the helper. But a few wonderful people have reached out wanting to donate. Given I have been donating more to causes and people I care about these last couple years I decided we’d give this a go.

Peace of Heart for Luna

So I got a call yesterday morning around 0700 from the ASPCA located in Greenville, South Carolina asking me if I was missing a dog, at first I thought it was a joke or a mistake cause I honestly thought I would never see my baby boy again after over 3.5months. I never lost hope, I continued to carry his leash and collar in my car with even higher hopes of the day I see him and bring him home. When the lady sent me a picture of my baby Titan I lost myself and cried cause he looked severely abused and mistreated by the monsters who kidnapped him from my house. Long story short, I am going on 1000mile road trip to Greenville, SC to bring my baby home... if anyone is reading this, please DO NOT lose hopes or rather NEVER LOSE HOPE of bringing our babies home, cause in reality; dogs, cats or any animal for that matter are not just “Pets”, they are our babies and they will forever be a member of our family. Take care of them, Love them and they will do the same for us. <br /><br />*and on that note, I’m about to be on my way to bring my baby home. Please wish me luck y’all

help make Titan healthy again

These 12 heros served in Afghanistan and Iraq and are credited with saving thousands of lives.  They have thrived due to the care, nurturing, therapy, and medical attention they have received at Mt. Hope for the last  17 months.  <br /> The government contract group said they would be here for 6-8 weeks. They kept promising the contract was being reviewed and signed every week even as late as June of this year.  The signed contract to put these highly trained dogs back to work would then pay for the expenses and care of these soldiers.  We were told in August of 2014 when they bill was still not being paid that we could not re home  these canines as they were government property and we would face federal prosecution if we did this. In mid June 2015 The contractors  then told us the dogs are too old now and they were going to get law enforment K9s to fulfill their contract.  They told us to dispose of them however we choose.  They could not pay their bill until the new contract was finalized with the law enforcement dogs. <br /><br />These warriors were abandoned to us.  Mission K9 and US War Dogs organizations were contacted to take the dogs and reunite them with their handlers if possible. Many of these soldiers suffered from PTSD from their service and are not suitable for shelter adoption into families.  Many are also highly trained and need to be with those they know or put back to work.   <br />We are asking for donations to pay off this bill so this kennel can stay in business. and continue to be a resource for organizations that help in these situations.  The owner has also worked with the Michael Vick pit bulls and brought many back from their trauma through therapy provided.  <br /><br />Please see our Facebook page Mt.
