<div>Hello!  My name is Jen Heatherly, I am friends with Mya Croes.  She and I met last year at a retreat in Flagstaff, AZ.  The retreat was put on by Metavivor so that we could film our stories about life with Metastatic Breast cancer (stage 4.)

<div>Mya and I forged a special bond before the retreat started, and meeting in person sealed the deal!  We are soul sisters! I am reaching out because I feel helpless living far away from her.  See, I live in the US, and Mya lives in Aruba with her two boys, ages 11 &amp; 14.

<div>Last week, out of absolutely nowhere, Mya had five seizures. In the hospital, after doing a scan, they discovered that Mya has eight tumors in her brain.  Over the past few days we were waiting to hear that she would be traveling to Columbia by air ambulance to receive targeted radiation to these tumors. Over the weekend her symptoms worsened.  Another scan has shown the cancer is being very aggressive.  They now see the cancer is growing and spreading to her neck and spine.

<div>Mya is a fighter! She is strong! However, when we are in the trenches with this disease, we also have to be realistic.  Because the cancer is growing and spreading so quickly, we have to face the fear that Mya is not going to make it. We pray all day, every day, for this not to be the case.

<div>I have been told that Mya is not afraid and she remains in good spirits, I believe this is the pwer of prayer!
</div>

<div>Her family has had to make the hard decision to start fundraising for Mya's services should her days be coming to an end.  Monies raised will help cover the costs of putting their loved one to rest.  Anything left over will be to help raise her boys. 
</div>

<div>Should Mya make a recovery, the money will be set aside for the day it is needed to lay her to rest.

Myandra needs our help!

Johnily cut her hair and began collecting donated human hair to make a wig for her mother. They have had 13 ponytails collected and are ready to have the human hair wig made. But, it costs $1600 to have the wig made.
