My name is Hala Mohammed Ebd Elazaher Mahmoud. I have a shelter at 74 Ismail Kamel Street in Helwan, Cairo. I take in animals off the streets to keep them safe from cruelty. I have 11horses, 444 dogs and 50 cats and one donkey. We recently took in additional dogs due to a shelter closing. So that is why we have 444 dogs now. The new 50 dogs are not neutered. So there are some moms with puppies and pregnant dogs. We need help with neutering the animals, tick medicine. We need help with food every day. We need blankets in winter when the nights become cold. I am every day at the shelter. I order food and with the help of workers I have to pay, we make sure all animals are cared for. We desperately need help with rent and food costs. We heal the horses and then give them to farmers. And we check on the horses to be sure they are treated well. . please please help these animals ❤️

My name is Jaychell Robles, and I am a solo rescuer currently caring for more than 50 rescued cats and 4 dogs. Some of my rescues require special maintenance food and continuous care. Timmy has a very sensitive stomach and needs a gastrointestinal diet. Cali and Sachi both require Urinary S/O food because they previously suffered from urinary blockage and UTIs. Meanwhile, Sydney, Salty, Bonbon, Nanaria, and Bruno — my Persian cats — frequently experience hairball-related vomiting and need proper maintenance as well. I also rescued two cats, Phino and Mila, whose infections remain severe even after medication. Because they are unvaccinated and have weak immune systems, I keep them separated from the other cats for their safety and recovery. As for my dogs, each one has their own rescue story. Happy was once thrown into a canal by a nanny and developed ehrlichia. She almost died, but thankfully survived and fought through it. Batik was rescued from the streets suffering from parvo and severe tick infestation. At only one month old, he already had to undergo IV dextrose treatment just to survive. Jette, on the other hand, was found tied beside the road, neglected in both rain and heat, while ants kept biting her and nobody wanted to help. Back in October 2024, Ma’am Julia encouraged me to rescue her and kindly helped with her vaccinations. Today, Jette is healthy, fully vaccinated, and living a much better life. I am truly grateful to Ma’am Julia for her kindness. Right now, the cats are separated into two rooms, while the others stay in cages because they are still unvaccinated or not yet spayed/neutered. I am very strict with separating them to prevent unwanted kittens and to protect those with weaker immune systems. I also recently rescued a tiny kitty and currently on meds and vitamins.
