Hi, my name is Julía (also known as Juju Bean). I’m an independent female artist navigating the brutal music industry alone. On September 17th, I released my 6-track EP titled “need money for music promo.”
But here’s the truth: this project is about so much more than just an EP. It’s a movement.
Being a real indie artist means fighting uphill battles every day. Creating the music is hard enough, but the biggest challenge comes after—the endless struggle to get heard in an industry where major-label-backed acts disguise themselves as “independent,” while secretly fueled by million-dollar marketing machines. Meanwhile, artists like me are left to carry everything alone, stretching every dollar, every ounce of energy, just to get our songs in front of people who might connect with them.
“need money for music promo” is my way of saying the quiet part out loud. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s unashamed. It’s not just my story—it’s the story of every true independent artist, male or female, fighting to carve out a space in an industry that doesn’t play fair.
Every contribution to this campaign will go directly toward promoting my music to its full potential—funds for marketing, playlist placement, ads, visuals, and all the tools that help level the playing field, even just a little. Your donation doesn’t just support me; it fuels a rallying cry for every indie artist who refuses to be silenced simply because they don’t have a label’s backing.
This isn’t just promotion. This is representation. This is proof that real indie music still matters, even when the odds are stacked against us.
If you believe in authenticity, in the power of underdogs, and in music that comes straight from the heart—please consider donating. Every dollar counts, and every dollar helps prove that passion is stronger than industry politics.
Together, we can make sure my voice—and the voices of countless independent artists—are truly heard.
Much love and gratitude,
Julía (Juju Bean) ❤️
