He was a healthy, kind, graceful, and gentle soul who was always filled with so much love, compassion, wisdom, joy, and positivity. He had a pure heart who always saw the beauty in others and the world, and was always so optimistic regardless of any fears or obstacles that he faced. He was extremely loving, caring, and was the embodiment of an angel. He had a very strong faith in God and always strove to continuously strengthen his relationship with God and follow His ways, despite all that he had on his plate. He was an open-minded and talented individual who was striving to achieve a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at UCLA. He was loved by many and was the center of our world. Although he entered heaven at an earlier time than we anticipated, his spirit and presence will live among us forever.  <br /><br />During this difficult time, we are kindly asking for any support, prayers, and/ or donations that you are able to provide/ contribute. No matter how little, any contribution is very much appreciated and will relieve our financial worries in giving him the services he deserves. All of the donations will go towards his funeral expenses and will be managed by us (his sisters) and our father. <br /><br />Thank you all for your continuous outpouring love and support. Era un alma sana, amable, elegante y gentil que siempre estaba llena de mucho amor, compasión, sabiduría, alegría y positividad. Tenía un corazón puro que siempre vio la belleza en los demás y en el mundo, y siempre fue tan optimista sin importar los miedos u obstáculos que enfrentara. Era extremadamente cariñoso y era la encarnación de un ángel. Tenía una fe muy fuerte en Dios y siempre se esforzó por fortalecer continuamente su relación con Dios y seguir su camino. Era un individuo de mente abierta y talentoso que se esforzaba por obtener una licenciatura en Ingeniería Civil en UCLA. Aunque entró al cielo antes de lo que anticipamos, su espíritu y su presencia vivirán entre nosotros para siempre.<br /><br />Durante este momento difícil, le pedimos amablemente cualquier apoyo, oraciones y / o donaciones que pueda brindar / contribuir. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page for our mother, Debbie Valdez. This isn't an easy thing to write.  Never in a million years did we think we'd be setting up a funeral for our caring and beautiful mother, who at the young age of 54 has been battling cancer.  At this point, the cancer has spread and is in its advanced stages.  Her doctors have recently recommended stopping treatment and focusing on her quality of life. After her long and arduous fight against cancer, she has decided to stop treatment.  <br /><br />An amazing mother of 4, devoted wife, and 2-time breast cancer survivor; she showed us to never give up. Her love for her family kept her striving to better her health. Unfortunately, the cancer came back as of November 24, 2013 and spread from her lymph nodes to her lungs, liver and bones. She fought hard through numerous surgeries and chemotherapy treatments.  Our mother is currently home under hospice care, surrounded by family.<br /><br />She's a passionate provider, dedicated mother, amazing grandmother and loving wife. She is also truly one of the kindest souls who always puts others before herself. For those of you who have met our mother, we know she has left a lasting impression of her love and graciousness in your lives.<br /><br />The members of our family live modestly, and the expense of funeral arrangements is an enormous financial burden. We are all coming together to ensure a beautiful remembrance for my mother. We want her to be laid to rest without inflicting financial hardship on those who are saying goodbye.  We've been overwhelmed by the number of loved ones who have reached out asking how they can help financially for her funeral services. She has requested to be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego along with her mother, and other members of our family.<br /><br />If you are interested in donating to the Debbie Valdez’ Funeral/Memorial Fund, you may do so here.
