Our Story Our family is facing an urgent situation, and we are asking for help to bring our 19 yr old daughter and her infant, our grandbaby, home to safety. Our daughter and grandson are currently living in Louisiana, and is experiencing a DV situation. After careful thought and many difficult conversations, she has made the decision to leave and come home to Colorado, where she can be surrounded by family, support, and a safe place to rebuild her life. We live in Colorado, and are preparing to make the long drive to Louisiana as soon as possible. We will be traveling with our other children, helping our daughter gather her belongings, and bringing her and her possessions back home with us. Once she arrives in Colorado, she will be living with our family while she gets back on her feet and begins this new chapter of her life. Unfortunately, the cost of making this emergency trip is more than our family can comfortably afford right now. We are seeking help to cover the expenses necessary to get her safely home, including: * Gas for the round-trip drive from Colorado, to Louisiana, and back * Food for our family during travel * One night in a motel so we can safely rest before helping our daughter pack and move * Travel expenses related to transporting her belongings back to Colorado; we also need to get breaks done on our vehicle which my husband knows how to replace, we just need the parts * Unexpected costs that may arise during this emergency relocation We have set a goal of $1,400 to help offset these expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping us bring our daughter to a safe and supportive environment. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand.
