Many of my students have never had the opportunity to travel beyond their neighborhood. For them, college campuses, museums, and leadership experiences often feel distant or unattainable — not because of ability, but because of access. As a public school educator, I am raising funds to support 40 students participating in an educational trip designed to expand college awareness, cultural exposure, and leadership development. This experience will allow students to see themselves in spaces they may not otherwise have access to and begin to envision futures beyond high school.

The total cost of the trip includes transportation, lodging, and educational programming. Our goal is to ensure that no student is excluded due to financial circumstances. Every contribution — no matter the amount — directly supports student access. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser helps tremendously and allows this opportunity to reach more people. Thank you for supporting our students and investing in their future.

Help Students Experience College & Culture

Unfortunately, on Friday May 31st I got a call at work that there was a fire in my home. This picture is a depiction of what my entire house looks like. We had to re-locate with my husband and 4 children to a hotel as the house is no longer livable and boarded up. This tragedy has really been a lot for my family and I and any donation would be appreciated for basic needs. At this time, we believe the house will not be repaired for living for the next 6 months to 1 year.

Urgent Relief for Displaced Family

Hi, my name is Eboni and I’m fundraising for my son Khari. Khari graduated from Brownsville Collaborative Middle School in Brownsville Brooklyn as the first male valedictorian in 2022 . He is currently a freshman at Brooklyn College Academy where he is an honor roll student.

His academic excellence has earned him an invitation to the Youth Leadership Forum Medical Internship program. This summer Khari will be studying at the University of California, Los Angeles where he will participate in training simulations that medical students, residents, and physicians use to hone their skills. Khari was first introduced to the medical field through a medical internship with his mentoring program Chionesu Bakari. His interest was sparked and he’s now looking to pursue a career in medicine. We have all witnessed firsthand how doctors and healthcare professionals play a critical role in our society .Can we count on your donation to ensure that Khari will gain this valuable life changing experience this summer? Thanking you in advance, God bless!

Recently, our school community was saddened to learn of the passing of Valerie Wilson. Valerie greeted everyone with her smile, kind words, and of course, a big Val hug. Valerie was a proud mother, wife, and Christian. She lit up when speaking about her three children. She was so proud of their accomplishments. Valerie always had a funny story about her husband to tell, you just had to ask.

Her work went far beyond just her own family. Valerie had a tremendous impact on all of those in our school. She touched staff and students alike. Her greatest gift was love, and she gave it to all.

Her passing is both unexpected and tragic. Please consider offering financial assistance to the Wilson Family during this time”
