I’m Joey, and on January 26th, 2026, a fire ripped through our house. It didn’t destroy the whole place, but smoke and flames took out about 75% of what was inside—clothes, furniture, keepsakes, photos, and those everyday things that make life feel normal. Losing my mom’s last belongings stung deep, and with my health challenges already in the mix, it knocked us for a loop. we had No insurance at all means we’re relying 100% on the goodness of people. The $295 from 9 awesome donors? That’s been a real game-changer—thank you so much; it’s kept us moving forward.
Got a new place now, and it’s coming together bit by bit. We’re not starting from empty: we have two comfy couches, a few beds for solid sleep, pots and pans for home-cooked meals, and a microwave to make things easy. we have plenty of clothes, which is huge.
We’re missing the stuff that brings the warmth back: zero TVs (no family movie nights or easy entertainment yet), and we need more couches and especially recliners—spots to relax, unwind, and just hang out together after tough days.
Our goal is $10,000 to cover these essential replacements we went so far into debit over this fire it's ridiculous all because are old landlord failed to fix something we begged him to fix since the first day we moved in , I'm not able to work because of my health my hearts done for literally every day I wake up it's a blessing and I'm not backing down. Every donation, share, or “you got this” message fuels our hope.
If you can chip in even a little, it changes our day. Can’t right now? Sharing helps us reach more hearts.
Thank you for being part of our rebuild—we’re grateful and getting stronger every day.
With big thanks and growing hope, please disability is taking there sweet sweet time
