What they care about

We are battling childhood cancer for my son 10-year old son. He relapsed after 4 months of being clear of Rhabdomyosarcoma. Please consider giving to our cause

Thanks for all of your prayers. Ezra handled the chemo really well yesterday and he’s doing great today. He’s a champ!
Just had to share this. Ezra wanted to dress up for his treatment today. He’s so silly and amazing!
Tomorrow we go for an overnight chemo session. This will be session 9 of 11. We are still sending Miami pictures every few days to assess if a skin graft is needed. So far everything is healing up well. Ezra will be getting Doxorubicin and Cytoxan this time. Both of these are more harsh on his body, especially Doxorubicin which can cause heart problems later in life. Please pray that Ezra will handle this chemo session well and that he'll have no long-term side effects. Big thanks to Wes and Nancy for dog-sitting for us since we'll be staying overnight! We thank you all for your continued support and prayers. Uploading a couple pics of Boone; he's been such a blessing for us!!!
Happy Birthday Ezra! Ezra turned 11 today. Wanted to drop a quick update. Overall Ezra is good considering. We’re sending pictures to the surgeon every few days so she can monitor his eye cavity to evaluate if a skin graft is needed. So far it is healing well. We ate at one of his favorite places and stopped by a pumpkin patch. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and support!
Almost done with chemo for today. Ezra got Vincristine and Irinotecan today. Thankfully he didn’t have a reaction today. He was given Benadryl beforehand and it worked, Praise Jesus! The Benadryl made him sleepy and it didn’t take long for him to nap. This week we’ll be outpatient M-F. Have about a two week break and then go back to Miami for the skin graft surgery. Please continue to pray that Ezra can handle the chemo and the upcoming surgery will go well. Thanks again for everyone’s prayers and support.
Update on Ezra He has been cleared by the surgeon to return to chemo next week. Since he had some breakthrough growth of the tumor just before surgery, we are discontinuing one chemo and going back to the same chemo that caused him to have a reaction so please pray the pre meds will prevent any further issues. We discussed all of the recommendations with two other sarcoma specialists and they agree with the regimen we have chosen to close out treatment. After this chemo, he will wait a week or two and then we have to go back to Miami for the silicone piece to be removed from his orbit and have his skin graft done. (They would have done that during the last surgery but did not due to waiting on biopsy results.) Four more chemo treatments and one more surgery! Please pray for strength to finish this out, no complications or setbacks to prevent finishing treatment in a timely manner and that all cancer cells are completely gone forever! Thank you all for continuing to pray for us!!
Thank you all for your prayers. We've finally got the pathology back today and our prayers were answered. The results came back as negative for cancer in Ezra's bone. Praise the Lord!!!
At the time of this post we still do not have the pathology results back. Our follow-up appointment with Miami is now next Friday. However, we are at Nemours to replace Ezra's eye dressing; this was recommended by Miami to do. Ezra will get to see how his face looks while they replace the dressing. Ezra has been so brave and has bounced back sooner than we ever expected. Please continue to pray that the results will be what we want so we can avoid another surgery for Ezra. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support!
