The Safe Start Recovery Fund is dedicated to helping men and women who are leaving rehab or living in sober living homes, actively working toward recovery. This cause is deeply personal because I have seen firsthand how difficult the early stages of recovery can be. When someone chooses to get clean, they are not only overcoming addiction—they are rebuilding every part of their life. In the beginning, many people do not have a job and are focused on treatment, meetings, accountability, and learning how to live sober. During that time, the cost of sober living can feel impossible, and the risk of losing safe housing can threaten their progress. Funds raised through the Safe Start Recovery Fund will help eligible individuals in recovery with sober living move-in fees, weekly or monthly sober living costs, temporary housing assistance, basic necessities like hygiene products, groceries, clothing, and food, as well as transportation to work, treatment, job interviews, court appointments, and recovery meetings. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps someone move one step closer to lasting recovery. Your support can provide a safe place to begin again, giving someone the stability they need to focus on healing, employment, and building a strong foundation for long-term sobriety. Our mission is simple: Keep safe housing within reach during early recovery. We believe no one committed to recovery should have to choose between sobriety and a roof over their head. Please join us in making a difference—your support can help someone stay safe, stay sober, and keep moving forward. Thank you for believing in second chances and for helping people rebuild their lives.
