In Loving Memory of Rachael Stewart-Nuttle – Supporting Her 5 Children

On Monday April 7th, our beloved Rachael tragically passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her loving husband, Ryan Nuttle, and their five beautiful children (Briton, Scot, Judah, Zora and Jimmy). This sudden loss has left a tremendous void in the lives of her family, and we are reaching out to offer support during this incredibly difficult time.

As the family navigates the emotional and financial challenges of this heartbreaking loss, we’re hoping to raise funds to help provide for the children’s needs. These funds will go directly to supporting the kids, ensuring they have the care, education, and emotional support they need as they adjust to life without their mother.

The funds will be used for:

Immediate living and caregiving expenses

Schooling and educational supplies

Counseling and support services to help them cope with their grief

Sports and extracurricular activities

Any other needs that may arise as they grow and continue their lives without their mom

Any donation, big or small, will help ensure that Rachael's children can continue to receive the care and support they need in this very challenging time.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Your support means the world to the Stewart-Nuttle family.

Help provide for Rachael's Children in Her Memory

For those that may not be aware our son Absher, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in March of this year. Since then, Absher has been courageously managing this chronic condition with the help of insulin injections, blood glucose monitoring, and countless doctor visits. However, despite our best efforts to ensure his safety, there are still moments when he experiences severe hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, which can be life-threatening if not detected and treated in a timely manner. We are reaching out to seek support in fundraising for a life-changing companion, a diabetic alert dog. A diabetic alert dog is specially trained to detect fluctuations in blood sugar levels, even before they become apparent to the human senses. These remarkable animals can sense the scent changes associated with low or high blood sugar levels and alert the individual or their caregiver. By providing this early warning, a diabetic alert dog can help prevent dangerous episodes and provide a sense of security to both Absher and us. Unfortunately, the cost of a trained diabetic alert dog is significant, and we are unable to bear the financial burden alone. We are reaching out to our community and generous individuals to help us raise the necessary funds to acquire a diabetic alert dog for Absher. The estimated cost, including training and ongoing care, is approximately $10,000. We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact on Absher's life. Your donation will not only provide Absher with a devoted four-legged companion but also grant him the ability to live a more independent and fulfilling life. The diabetic alert dog will accompany Absher everywhere, from school to social activities, ensuring his safety and offering peace of mind to us.

A few years ago, I produced a record for my good friend, Forest Wayne Allen. We recorded it with Gary Hickinbotham at The Fire Station in San Marcos, TX. Forest was lucky to be alive at that point. He’d been stabbed multiple times by an acquaintance, not long before we went in the studio. This record seemed like a good way to get back to living and playing music. It was a fresh start.
We cut some of Forest’s original tunes and we also picked some incredible songs by other local songwriters that were milling around Cheatham Street at the time. Great writers and friends of Forest, like Pake Rossi and Jaime Cortinas. The album is called “Two Packs and a Hard Knock” and the title track was written by Marshall J Anderson. It’s a beautiful song about a person battling addiction and depression.
The Forest that recovered from the attack was a different Forest, understandably so. I can’t imagine the PTSD that comes from an event like that but it was a tragic turn for such a fun-loving guy. Forest started spiraling not long after we wrapped up the record and the album never saw the light of day; I hope to change that soon. We had incredible musicians like Dees Stribling, Dan Johnson, Cody Braun, and Lars Albrecht playing on it.
Unfortunately, the album was never mastered or pressed onto cds. I’m raising funds to ensure that Forest’s legacy lives on through his music. All donations will go towards the cost of album art, mastering, and pressing cds (and hopefully vinyl records). Anything that is raised beyond those costs will be given to his family to help cover any funeral costs.

In the early morning of June 23rd, non violent protestors gathered to peacefully occupy the space outside of city hall to protest the recent rash of police brutality brought against the citizens of Richmond in the wake of George Floyd's tragic death.

Instead of protecting their people like they're sworn to do, they once again brutalized multiple protestors, most notably John Weakley. He was shot at point blank range in the head with a rubber bullet and beaten. He's currently in stable condition at MCV.

Anything you can give to help pay his medical bills is greatly appreciated. Updates to follow.
