If you know anything about Elite Abstract, then you know Kelly Komorowski. And even if you don’t know her, we need your help to show Kelly how much she is loved. Kelly is currently facing an unexpected health challenge that has kept her away from work and largely confined to home as she works closely with doctors to find answers. Being unable to work during this time has created an unexpected financial strain while she focuses on her health and recovery.

<div>Hi, I'm Mike Lacy you previously received a quick Whatsapp messages from me asking for a simple donation of $ 50.00 to help support our football without borders program in Medellin ( Bello), Colombia. I'm currently volunteering as the defense coordinator, linebackers, and defensive backs coach. We are playing real American tackle football. 11 vs 11 with college rules. These are young men from the ages of 18 -44 that have a passion for the sport of American football and a love for the game. Most of the individuals have full time jobs and some also attend the local university. After completing work or school the come to practice 3-4 times per week. They do not receive any money or stipend to play and have to find ways for transportation to and from practice and pay for thier own equipment, uniforms, and travel to and from games. I'm asking for a little help from my friends and family so we can buy some quality used equipment, so the individual can participate safely. Most of the people I have asked to donate played some type of sports at one time in thier life. And if we think back to the commitment we put in at that time. We can only imagine the commitment the aforementioned players are putting in at this time. We also have several Americans playing as well. We even have a women's flag football team. If you are in the Medellin area and want to play, support, please come out and lend a hand. If you are one of my friends or family that I asked for a donation please help as soon as you can. The community we are supporting is Bello and they don't have much in- terms of extra income. It is considered a very poor barrio that is rife with all the issues that comes with poverty. <p>It’s hard to even find words to explain what we’re going through at this time... the loss of a mother, a daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin... friend. No one could have expected this. I’ve set up this fund to help cover the funeral costs. As this is still so recent we do not have all the details and will update once we meet with the funeral home but at this time we’re estimating $9,000 for the funeral service and cremation. I’ve set the goal at $10,000 because of fees but any amount  raised is an enormous blessing in this unexpected time.

Sabrina Reynolds Funeral expenses

The family of Mario Herrera is overwhelmed by the outpour of support from family, friends, our local community and people across the nation that have heard his story.   On Wednesday, August 26, Mario was shot while attempting to arrest a subject with a warrant, as part of his duty as an investigator for the Lincoln Police Department.   He is currently in critical condition at the University of NE Medical Center.   <br /><br />The family initially declined having a Go Fund Me account set up, as my sister Carrie (Mario's wife) is a proud and private woman and was uncomfortable with the idea.   With some nudging, she agreed to a special account for donations through their bank, as so many people wanted to help.  While that has been a great way to allow people to make donations, we have quickly realized it may not be enough.   People from all over the country have reached out wanting to help.   We were able to convince Carrie to allow us to set this Go Fund Me page up on her behalf, to make it easier for people outside the Lincoln/Omaha metro area to make donations.      <br /><br />The below photo is Mario with his wife Carrie and their 4 children (Adelina, Celia, Olivia and Carlos).<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50790262_1598642659149653_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="50790262_1598642659149653_r.jpeg" />

Investigator Mario Herrera

This past Monday night, on the way home from work, Benny was riding his bike as he has done for the past 2 years that he has been employed as a Maintenance worker at the Holiday Inn Resort, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  Unfortunately, this was like no other bike ride home.  When Benny noticed a pickup truck behind him, he pulled to the side of the road so it could pass.  The truck slowed down and shot Benny in the head with a crossbow, then raced off.  Not realizing fully what just happened, Benny grabbed a towel from his pocket and put it to his head, wiping blood that would not stop gushing out.  He thought they threw something at him until the police arrived and found the arrow that skated down the side of his head, hitting a main artery.  <br /><br />Benny was rushed to the ER and taken in for surgery immediately.  Benny is a dedicated worker, a loving father and husband and the type of guy that would give you his last meal if you were hungry.  Due to the recent furloughs of Covid-19, Benny lost his health insurance temporarily.  He had returned to work, however, the insurance would not be effective until July.  He is now facing even more time off of work and exuberant ER bills.  While one of the men responsible for this disgusting act has been apprehended, the other is still out there.  <br /><br />As Benny's co-workers and peers, we are reaching out to the community to help Benny and his family during this difficult time with the financial burden of more time from work and hospital bills.  Any little bit helps and we know how appreciative Benny and his family would be.

FATHER SHOT IN HEAD WITH CROSSBOW

As many of you know we lost a brave soul on  May 26th, 2020.  James was a kind and loving person; some called him the Mayor of “Sweet Georgia’s” because of the way he looked after everyone he met including his beloved girlfriend Miosotis Murillo Chaverra, who stayed at his bedside until he took his last breath.  Miosotis is now alone to mourn the loss of her rock and strength, James who made sure his Queen was well taken care of.  As some of you know Miosotis is employed as a hairdresser and this industry is struggling to reopen and stay afloat.  With that said it is our prayer that those who loved James would join us in setting up a fund to help Miosotis for a few months with living expenses until the Salon industry picks up.  I know James would be so grateful for any help you can offer to his beautiful lady.<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48350078_1590617046830693_r.jpeg" alt="48350078_1590617046830693_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />

As many of you may know, our beloved friend, Anthony Steels has been battling prostate cancer for a few years – and has put up quite the fight. Sadly, friends, the cancer has spread to Anthony’s liver and bones. At the direction of his doctor’s, due to extreme weight loss, fatigue and weakness, as of last week Anthony is no longer permitted to work. As you can imagine, this is devastating blow for the Steels family, his wife Harvest and daughter Sierra. <br /><br />Anthony Steels is a loving son, father, husband, brother, sponsor and great friend. Many of those who are reading this message have been spiritually touched by Anthony in one form or another. If you have met Anthony Steels even once, you consider him your good friend. That is the effect he has on people. The one thing he does so well is motivate us to be a better version of ourselves. He has shared in our joys, consoled us during times of pain &amp; sorrow, prayed for our happiness &amp; healing and is always there to lend a hand or bend his ear. We would all be lost without his driving force, so please contribute any amount that you can.<br /><br />The money donated here will go towards Anthony’s transition from work to full disability, which can be a lengthy transition. The money will be used for life expenses, such as rent, utilities &amp; food, in addition to securing preparations for funeral and final expenses.<br /><br />Anthony Steels is an accomplished and extremely caring person who has dedicated his life to helping and healing others. Anthony is a Drug &amp; Alcohol Counselor who works with adults &amp; children alike to guide them out of the throws of addiction and to promote healing, self-awareness and love. <br /><br />Anthony Steels is a volunteer, inspirational speaker and spokesman. His volunteer work history is extraordinary and includes initiatives such as giving motivational speeches at schools and prisons to educate people on how to recognize and overcome drug addiction. As a spokesman for the KIM foundation, Anthony focused on increasing awareness and promoting continued education related to mental illness and suicide, he taught people to recognize the warning signs, how to get help and reminded them that they are not alone in their journey to recovery. He has encouraged thousands of people and saved hundreds of lives.<br /><br />As a Nebraska Cornhusker from 1979-1983, under Tom Osborn, Anthony occasionally sang the National Anthem before the games; sometimes in his uniform! Anthony continues providing his gift of music by frequently singing the national Anthem for his Alma Mater and other sporting events.<br /><br />So friends, in honor of our good &amp; humble friend, Anthony Steels and his family, please help, however you can, to ease of some of their financial burden. Hello everyone  my name is Natasha  Briggs, I am from Dallas, Texas currently reside in Mckinney, Texas. I am the sister of Kimberly Tippett and Aunt of Kamyrn. We are raising money to honor the life of Kimberly Tippett and her one year old son Kamyrn Crain. Kimberly and Kam  tragically lost their lives in the North Texas tornadoes Saturday. Kimberly and Kamryn were survived by two daughters and two sisters respectively. Our family needs assistance with burial and would appreciate all acts of kindness.
