<div>Chris is facing one of the most painful and destabilizing periods of his life  physically, emotionally, and financially. In early June, he was laid off from his job as a therapist, a role that gave him a deep sense of meaning and purpose. Not long after, his health took a frightening turn. After experiencing sudden chest pain and shortness of breath, Chris was rushed to the ER, where he was diagnosed with acute pericarditis,  a serious condition involving inflammation of the pericardium, the thin sac that surrounds the heart.

<div>Acute pericarditis is not just uncomfortable: it is intensely painful. The pain often mimics a heart attack: sharp, stabbing sensations in the chest that worsen with movement or breathing. For Chris, this has meant not only relentless physical pain, but also frequent hospital visits (eight ER trips so far), each time filled with fear, uncertainty, and mounting costs. The condition has severely limited his ability to function day to day. He has been told to rest and avoid physical or emotional stress, yet his life has been filled with both.

<div>Amid his health crisis, Chris also endured the heartbreak of an unexpected end to his engagement, losing the person he imagined his future with while facing the scariest health battle of his life. The emotional weight of that grief, combined with the isolation of being unable to work or do the things that bring him joy, has left him feeling incredibly vulnerable. As someone who has spent years helping others as a therapist, it’s painful for him now to be on the other side by needing help just to make it through each day.

<div>Chris is doing everything he can to focus on healing, and manage financial stress. With no income and no timeline for when he’ll be medically cleared to return to work, he is focused on  rent, bills, and essential COBRA medical insurance that costs $820/month. When she was 23, she developed Post Viral Syndrome after a Mono infection and has been chronically ill since then. During Covid, she received an IV medication to control some of her chronic symptoms, which caused acute kidney damage and she went into rapid kidney failure. She has been undergoing Dialysis since then and on the list, waiting for a kidney.

<div>One of the worst things about this is that Jayda was not “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” She was somewhere that should’ve been safe. Somewhere that we have all been as teens as a first “outing” into the world without our parents.

<div>Jayda was SO full of energy and life; was infectious with laughter; the biggest music and movie fanatic I ever knew. Seriously, at 13, I’m convinced she’s seen every movie ever made.

Especially her 2 loving parents; Jeremy and Tabatha who still have 2 other babies to take care of; 8 year old Darian and 11 month old Izaiah. <span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);">Our family has experienced a devastating loss. On the evening of December 30th, Kimm Klitzke was struck by a drunk driver while trying to get into his vehicle. Kimm was life flighted to Temple, Texas, where he underwent emergency surgery and it was determined that he had a life threatening brain injury, along with broken bones and abrasions. Kimm was removed from life support on January 4th and passed at 8:31p.m., surrounded by his family. This was an unexpected event. Kimm and his wife Teri, moved to Marlin, Texas with the dream of retiring and building their farm. Kimm and Teri were fixing up their home and some projects were left unfinished, that now need to be contracted out. There are medical and end of life expenses that need to be covered. With this tragedy, we would like to lessen the financial burden due to loss of income for Teri. Also, with the possibility of a criminal trial, Kimm’s family will need to figure out travel and lodging expenses. We understand this is an economically difficult time for everyone and we appreciate any and all help.</span>

<div>Stormy is currently needing a 3rd surgery after having his bladder rupture due to unknown blockage. I’ll be taking him for scans today which were quoted at $1,000. His surgery was quoted from $3,000-$6,000. All I know is that Stormy is a fighter and I’m willing to do whatever I can to help him get better.

<div>***Stormy was able to have his FHO surgery on Tuesday to help fix his fractured ball and socket joint. He has follow up appointments for therapy so he will heal correctly! He was also able to take care of his neuter while under!

<div>We are taking it slow at home. He has a UTI from having a catheter in for a few days, but is taking his meds well as long as they are stuffed in some cheese.

<div><span>Meet Stormy, a Chihuahua-Yorkie mix. He was kept outside, due to behavioral issues and it has dipped down into freezing temps. I attempted to assist the owner in surrendering Stormy to BCHS but there was a wait list as they are completely full. I also reached out to other nearby rescues which were also full. </span>

<div>On Tuesday I took Stormy to the Vet this past week and tested for lymes(he tested positive), heart worm, and received all of his vaccinations. He is scheduled for a neuter on 01/03.

<div>Yesterday, my daughter opened the door and he got out without my husband realizing and he was hit by a car. Everything local was closed so I had to take him to the Animal Hospital on Camp Horn Rd.

The Dr. was able to consult with the surgeon. TWO surgeries are recommended for his injuries. The right back ball and socket is fractured and FHO surgery is recommended. 
The second issue is on the left side where he has a sacral iliac dislocation. It is fixed with pins.

<div>The estimate for the FHO surgery is $6-8k and is the priority. To do both is approx $10-12k. This doesn’t even include his hospital stay, and it was $2500 for just everything last night.

There is no evidence to substantiate this claim. Further, police claim that my son left the scene on foot. It turns out that he was just trying to get to my house for safety -- which was only a few blocks away from where the incident happened. My baby was just trying to make it home to be safe in my arms. Tyre was unarmed, nonthreatening, and respectful to police during the entire encounter!

His cousin who saw him in the hospital, swollen and disfigured, like “he was a scary monster.”

<div>All 5 Officers have been fired, and charges ranging from Murder 2 to Kidnapping, have been filed against them. The video of Tyre's murder is set to be released any day now. I don’t want us burning up our cities, and tearing up the streets because that’s not what my son stood for.

My name Brie d'Ayr, and I am one of the 50,000 veterans currently homeless in America. One minute, you can have a great job, be active in local politics, and have your future laid out in front of you, and in the next breath, lose all of it. Homelessness knows no race, gender, background or financial circumstance, and I am proof of that. If you're here, chances are you saw my tweet about the Nevada GOP Electors suing me, along with the other Democratic Electors - in an attempt to circumvent the will of Nevada voters and hand an electoral win to Donald Trump. <br /><br />Since news of this baseless suit broke, hundreds of people have reached out and offered me support and financial assistance. While the outpouring of kindness and generosity has been overwhelming, I'm reminded that compassion and humanity aren't lost, and my faith in people has been restored. I've felt uncomfortable with all of the suggestions to create a campaign to assist me through this, and therefore been reticent to accept help, especially when there are so many other veterans out there that need homes, jobs, and just one chance. <br /><br />But, then I remembered the words of every flight attendant - "put your mask on first, before you help others," and as a believer in universal intervention, perhaps this is an opportunity to use my unexpected platform to make a real difference.    <br /><br />So, still a little unsure about this, here goes nothing.  I am starting this GoFundMe to help me yes, get back on my feet, but more importantly, to put myself in the position to fulfill a lifelong dream of helping other homeless vets and hopefully spark a long overdue movement. <br /><br />I want to be fully transparent about what this money will be used for. Before law enforcement goes about their pattern of villainizing this beautiful peaceful woman, turning her into a suspect, a silhouette, or threat, let me tell you about 28 y/o #AtatianaJefferson “Tay”. She was a Pre-med graduate of Xavier University. She was very close to her family. She was the auntie that stayed up on Friday night playing video games with her 8 year old nephew. She worked in pharmaceutical equipment sales. Her mom had recently gotten very sick, so she was home taking care of the house and loving her life. There was no reason for her to be murdered. None. We must have justice.

On July 15, Bert was savagely attacked by someone he thought to be a friend. Peppersprayed, nose broken, numerous blows to his <br />face and body.
