Happy Monday! I really appreciate all the help for travel and thoughts during this transition. Unfortunately there have been too many set backs to travel and my father feels more comfortable staying in Texas with a local caretaking help. John my Dad has recieved more health news and it keeps him from travel. We will connect through visits when I get back settled into a living situation here in Savannah still. Dear friends, family, and community, I am reaching out today in a moment of urgent need. My name is Jessica Tayeb, and I have proudly called Savannah home since 1996. Right now, I am facing the terrifying reality of a 10-day eviction notice. Over the past year, I have been dealing with severe PTSD, which has made it incredibly challenging to work and has created a compounding financial hardship that has finally caught up to me. The good news is that I have a clear path out of this—I just need a bridge to get there. I start a new job in exactly two weeks. Additionally, I am a caretaker for my sick mother and am legally owed back pay for this care, which is scheduled to arrive on June 24th. Because of the strict 10-day eviction timeline, I am facing homelessness just weeks before my financial relief arrives. I just need help surviving this final stretch. Every dollar raised will go directly toward stopping the eviction process, including back rent, late fees, and basic living utilities to keep the lights and water on until my first new paycheck.
