<div>We got engaged in January 2025, and just this week, we made it official by signing our marriage license. There was no wedding, no celebration, no fancy reception, just the two of us taking a quiet but meaningful step forward in our lives together.

<div>Instead of planning a big wedding (and probably going into debt for it), we made a conscious decision to skip the ceremony and put that energy toward something even more important to us: <strong>starting our family.</strong>

<div>We’ve both known for a long time that we want to become parents. We’re surrounded by a big, loud, loving Filipino family, and lots of nieces and nephews, so family has always been at the center of our lives. Parenthood isn’t just a hope for us, it’s a shared dream. We both deeply, wholeheartedly want to be fathers.

<div>As a gay couple, the journey to becoming parents through fertility treatment and surrogacy is beautiful, but also incredibly expensive.

<div>We’ve done a lot of research, and the costs are overwhelming.

Along the way, we’ve grown stronger, working through growing pains, uncomfortable conversations, and all the things that come with building a real, lasting partnership.
