What they care about

We recently moved to Raymond WA and found our forever home. A beautiful slice of heaven to farm, grow fruit, fish and enjoy country living at its best.

Jayden Anderson is a 21-year-old young man who has epilepsy and autism. Recently, the Mason County court system and his legally appointed guardianship company decided that it would be in his best interest to be removed from our home here in Raymond, WA. In January of this year, my father, Melvin Swan, passed away from a very long fight with prostate cancer. The last year here in our house on hospice was especially difficult on us all. Watching a loved one slowly, painfully waste away and die in your home is something I do not wish on anyone. It was both a blessing to be able to do that for my father, but it also came with a heavy cost to both Jake and me. We didn't handle the stress as well as we should have. Being Jayden's full-time caregivers has been a real blessing for us. We are able to be here for him 24/7, and family time is 100%. Jake has a side business doing car detailing, and I have a side business doing beach art and selling home goods at farmer's markets. We include Jayden in both these business ventures always. We are far from perfect, as no one but God is. We have both made mistakes, but we have always come back to each other, to Jayden, and to our faith. So now all we want is to be able to live our best life as a family here in Raymond with Jayden. Jake is his stepfather. He chose to step up and love this special guy when he didn't have to. Jayden saw that and loves Jake for that. They have a bond that is special. Now, if Jake was his biological father, this case would be different, and Jake's history wouldn't be hurting us so badly. It's so wrong. So now we fight for Jayden, who loves his home and doesn't want to be forced to move out. He doesn't want to have to leave us and go live in some strange assisted living home. He doesn't want another caregiver. So now we are raising the money we need to hire an attorney to fight this new court order before it's too late. Before Jayden is taken from his home, from his mother, and loving stepfather. Please help us and God Bless You.
