<div>It is with disbelief and a crushed heart that I am creating this fundraiser in memory of Debora Nohemí Chumil Rafael, a beautiful little girl from the Maya community of Jaibalito on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. She unexpectedly passed away on July 13th.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met Debora in March of 2022, and we connected instantly through a shared love of art. She was bright, gentle, endlessly creative, patient, intelligent, and carried a sweetness unlike anyone else.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the years, we shared so many beautiful moments together, and she became deeply meaningful to me, even without ever being able to narrow our relationship down to one label. Hija de alma, amiguita, hermanita, alumna, maestra mía. She was the spark that inspired the creation of UMA, an educational project rooted in creativity, nature, and intercultural connection.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. While no amount of money can ease the pain of losing a child, it can help relieve some of the financial burden her family is now carrying.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With the permission and blessing of Debora’s family, I am asking our wider community to come together in support. Every dollar raised will go directly to her family to help cover the unforeseen expenses and provide immediate support during this incredibly difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many Maya families around Lake Atitlán live with limited financial resources while carrying extraordinary strength, generosity, and love. In moments like these, even a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is to raise CAD $1,500 to help cover the funeral expenses they incurred, and provide immediate support for Debora’s family (Her mother is still raising and supporting three of her young boys). If more than this amount is raised, every additional dollar will be given directly to the family to use wherever it is needed most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are able to contribute, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another deeply meaningful way to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for surrounding Debora’s family with love, compassion, support and prayers during this heartbreaking time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In loving memory of Debora Nohemí Chumil Rafael.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>May her spirit continue to expand, and may her light forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
</div>

Supporting the Family of Our Beloved Debora Nohemí

<div><strong>We’re Taking Hope on Tour &amp; We Need Your Help to bring it to life! </strong>
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/96336583_1772681795633035_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>This year, we are getting in 2 RVs and driving to 30 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Starting in Charlotte, North Carolina, will be our going-away party on June 6th, 2026 ( If we raise enough!) </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Then off to our second city, Miami then heading west towards LA and stopping wherever there are stories to share, parties to host and people to connect with! </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our mission is simple:</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>1) Bring people together to party with a Purpose.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>2) Fund and raise awareness for local people and organizations making a difference every day in their communities.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>3) Remind people that there is more good happening in the world than bad.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>4) Create content and a documentary that makes people feel hopeful for the future and excited to connect with others to build communities!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>We’re calling it The Hope Tour by The Traveling Good</em>
</div>
<div><em>And we’re raising $50,000 to make this dream come to life! </em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why We’re Doing This?? </strong>
</div>
<div>I think we can feel the shift happening, right?
</div>
<div>The division and exhaustion in the news and on social media are creating chaos and confusion more than connection and hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The sense that we’re watching hard things happen every day online, but we don't know what to do with the energy, the sadness, the grief or the anger? So we end up doing nothing, volunteering and donating nowhere.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Well we don't want to wait any longer for companies, politicians, or media to change their minds and find ways to bring us together instead of tear us apart!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Every day we’re fed a story that says people are bad, the world is ending, that we’re too far gone and that it’s safer to argue online than to show up for each other in real life.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But for our community and me, instead of complaining about what’s broken, we’re investing &amp; illuminating in what’s right with our world and we want to prove it everone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>and we are not "political" nor religious,
</div>
<div>We are simply humans who believe that if something needs to be done, we should do it and that we are the ones we’ve been waiting for!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/96336583_1772743801228026_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In every city, we will:
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/96336583_1772758958216111_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Host “Parties with a Purpose.”</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>Gatherings where strangers become neighbors through music, movement, and real conversation, while spotlighting and financially supporting local nonprofits already doing beautiful work.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Tell Stories That Restore Faith in Humanity.</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>We’re filming a documentary and creating content that highlights everyday people creating real impact — and raising money for them in real time.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Put Kindness Into Action.
</div>
<div>We’ll fund and support local service projects and dreams along the way. Sometimes that’s financial support. Sometimes mentorship. Sometimes simply believing in someone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Build Local Chapters.
</div>
<div>We’re not just passing through. We’re planting seeds so communities can continue gathering and serving long after we leave.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why Your Donation Matters
</div>
<div>We are raising $100,000 to fund:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>• Two RVs + fuel + travel across three countries</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Community events in 30 cities</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Film equipment + documentary production</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Direct financial support to partner nonprofits</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>• Safe and responsible logistics for the team</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When you donate, you’re not funding:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Gatherings where strangers become community.
</div>
<div>Amplifying underfunded local leaders.
</div>
<div>Helping turn hope into something tangible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If You’ve Ever…
</div>
<div>Felt discouraged by the state of the world.
</div>
<div>Wished someone would actually do something.
</div>
<div>Believed people are mostly good.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is your invitation.
</div>
<div>Movements aren’t built by one person.
</div>
<div>They’re carried by many hearts moving in the same direction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If this moves you, donate.
</div>
<div>If you can’t donate, share.
</div>
<div>If you believe in this, stand with us. join us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This vision is bigger than us.
</div>
<div>It belongs to anyone who still believes people are good.
</div>
<div>If this resonates, we would be deeply grateful for your support, in any form.
</div>
<div>Your encouragement, your prayers, your sharing, your donation — it all matters.
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping us carry hope forward. We are beyond excited to build this together.

THE TRAVELING GOOD 2.0 - THE HOPE TOUR

<div>On the morning of July 4th, 2026, the day of her son DJ's wedding, our mom (Tracey), her eldest daughter (Brittany), daughter-in-law (Heather), and two grandchildren were involved in a serious, head-on collission about 1/4mi from the wedding venue in Shapleigh, Maine. Everyone was hospitalized with Mom and Brittany sustaining severe injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mom was life-flighted from the crash to Portland MaineMedical, where she has undergone multiple intensive surgeries, including a hip replacement and surgeries to repair both of her broken femurs (one of which was shattered). As of today (July 14th), she still faces at least another week in the hospital before transferring to an inpatient OT PT rehabilitation facility, where she’ll begin months of intensive therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Just before this happened, Mom was in between jobs after her previous company was bought out. She was preparing for the next chapter of her life and hoping to retire in just a few years. Instead, she’s now facing months of recovery, the inability to work, and an overwhelming financial burden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beyond the extensive hospital stay and multiple surgeries, the costs continue to grow with the emergency Life Flight transport, specialized trauma care, rehabilitation, follow-up appointments, mobility equipment, and countless medical expenses that accompany such life-altering injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are asking for community support because as we’ve begun navigating the insurance process, we’ve learned that the driver who caused this crash carried only the state’s minimum liability insurance. Unfortunately, the available coverage appears to fall far short of the financial losses Mom is facing, leaving many of these expenses uncertain.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward immediate needs, medical costs, lost income, and recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help Mom focus on healing and getting back on her two feet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to donate, we are grateful for anything. If you’re not in a position to give, simply sharing this fundraiser with others is an incredible way to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer. Thank you for standing by our family's side during this difficult time.

Help Tracey Recover After Catastrophic Car Crash

<div>Help Milton heal and finish his home:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Milton just became a father one month ago. His baby Jaden is healthy. His partner Lety is still recovering from giving birth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Then this week, a drunk 15-year-old on a motorcycle hit Milton and his sister Drucia. They both survived. They are both pretty hurt but will recover fully. And the family that depends on Milton, including his one-month-old baby, is suddenly without income.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am writing this to ask for help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-Who Milton is-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Milton is my business partner in Colibri Delivers, our small delivery company in Guatemala. He is also like a brother to me. With no exaggeration, he is the kindest and most trustworthy person I have ever known.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I hired him almost 2 years ago when he was a gardener. I taught him how to ride a motorbike. I taught him to deliver. I taught him the business. He has since become the backbone of Colibri and the reason we have completed over 3,000 deliveries and we're growing fast. Recently, I made him a major partner in the company, with a major percentage, because he has earned every bit of it. I pay him 30 to 50 percent above the local minimum wage. He still deserves more, and we are building toward that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Milton's income is the main income for his entire household. That household is his partner Lety (who tragically lost both her parents), their newborn Jaden, his sister Drucia, and both of his parents. They all live together in a home that Milton and his father built by hand, board by board. Currently, our Colibri app is closed, as I'm doing my best to pick up the slack, but it's not sufficient for the needs of our customers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before Colibri, Milton's family lived under a roof that was constantly broken. The income Milton earned through our work finally gave them the stability to take out a $12,000 USD construction loan to fix that roof and finish the house. The work is not done yet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-What happened-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The other day, a drunk 15-year-old on a motorcycle hit Milton and Drucia. The accident was not Milton's fault. The boy's family does not have money. Milton's family chose not to involve the police because they did not want to ruin a 15-year-old's life over one stupid decision. That is the kind of people they are.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now Milton cannot work. Drucia cannot work. Lety is still postpartum. Jaden is one month old. And Colibri is still a small, emerging business that is currently closed due to this situation. We do not yet have the reserves to carry the family the way they deserve to be carried right now.
</div>
<div>(we kept the more graphic injury photos out)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why I am asking.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Where every dollar goes</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The goal is $18,000 USD. Here is exactly what it covers:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>$10,000 goes toward the construction loan on the family home.
</li>
<li>$4,000 finishes the house so Milton, Lety, baby Jaden, his parents, and Drucia have a complete, safe place to live.
</li>
<li>$2,000 covers roughly three months of Milton's salary so he and Drucia can heal fully before coming back to work while we find another driver to support us.
</li>
<li>$500 to bike repairs.
</li>
<li>$1,500 for a small used Suzuki jeep for safer deliveries.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every single dollar goes to Milton and his family. Nothing else.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-What you can do right now-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Every dollar matters. If you're able to give even $1, that's extremely helpful.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you can or cannot give, send this to one person who might. A share is worth as much as a donation. Milton has touched more lives than he realizes. This is how we show up for him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-One more thing-
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I first met Milton, he told me his biggest dream was to go to the United States to find work. That made me sad. People like Milton are exactly what make Guatemala such a beautiful place. I have spent the last few years trying to show him how much opportunity he has right here, in the country he loves, surrounded by the family he built it with. Help me prove that to him. (And later we can give him a USA tour.)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading this all the way through. Thank you for caring. Anything you can give, anything you can share, means everything.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>-Cody Zellar
</div>

Finish Milton's Home After the Accident

<div>Hello friends, family and all the sacred souls in between. To whatever extent, we have been part of one another’s life… inspiring, celebrating, dancing, learning lessons, supporting each other and experiencing this wild and beautiful life alongside one another. My 40 years earth side has been nothing less than spectacular. I’m truly grateful for it all… the ups, downs and everything in between. It truly wouldn’t be the same without each and every one of you . And although some circumstances really tried to break me, I stood strong in every storm that was meant to destroy me ️. I persevered and I remain focused on the onwards &amp; upwards determination to create the absolute best life for me and my son Woods.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a solo mama who works and manages her household full time, I’d really love to be celebrated and supported on my upcoming 40th birthday because 40 is a BIG DEAL!!! And as many of you lovely humans are spread throughout the globe it is very difficult to get everyone to gather and celebrate with me in one place.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So, in my natural state of evolution, I’ve been dreaming up what’s next ✨✨ and I require your support. For my upcoming 40th birthday vision, I’m asking for you to give a monetary contribution towards an adventure Van for Woods &amp; I to experience more of the great outdoors. Our adventures on wheels will allow us the freedom, flexibility &amp; safety to create beautiful memories in some beautiful places. And what better way to enjoy this than having our community, our village contribute towards it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In order to reach my birthday goal I’m asking
</div>
<div>for you to contribute an amount that you would spend celebrating me on an evening out equal to a gift, dinner &amp; beverages and the best part… you get to stay in the comfort of your home . So please be generous :) My goal is to reach $9500 with the support of my village. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and I look forward to sharing the many adventures to come ️

My 40th Birthday Vision

<div>Hi, my name is Anjili (or Lori to my family).

</div>

<div>I’ve lived in a small community in Guatemala for the past 15 years. Five and a half years ago, after over a decade of hard work and saving, I was finally able to purchase a small home and piece of land where I envisioned raising my son and building a life with my then-husband.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I invested everything into:

</div>

<ul>

<li>Securing the land with a wall and fencing

</li>

<li>Renovating the home for our family

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Most recently, using the last of my savings to build a boutique and therapy space to house my private practice and retail business

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I imagined my life here, raising my son in this vibrant village, and offering my healing work to locals and travelers alike.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>A Devastating Shift</strong>

</div>

<div>In spring 2024, my 10-year-old son began struggling with his mental health. As a licensed mental health social worker, I recognized the signs of early depression and made the heartbreaking decision for him to relocate to the U.S. to live full-time with his father. I stayed behind because I had just poured every cent I had into my property and couldn't afford to relocate.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In early 2025, I made the decision to rent my home and business so I could spend more time near my son. That’s when everything changed.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>The Land Invasion</strong>

</div>

<div>After publicly listing my property for rent, I became the target of a local man—known in the community for land theft, violence, and disturbing behavior. He has a documented history of:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>Attempted land grabs

</li>

<li>Sexual violence and harassment

</li>

<li>Threatening and intimidating locals and foreigners alike

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>He saw my listing and launched a calculated attempt to steal my land.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>He began by:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>Claiming my property as his

</li>

<li>Launching a smear campaign online with horrific lies, including that I raped his mother and committed murder

</li>

<li>Encouraging violence against me and those who defended me

</li>

<li>Spreading false claims that we burned down his home, killed his animals, and extorted him for $250K

</li>

<li>He calls us racist, terrorist, and claims we are somehow connected to a genocide, he claims happened in 1988 (when I was 7 years old)

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>None of these claims are based in any truth. The damage, however, has been real and devastating.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What He Has Done</strong>

</div>

<div>On March 24th, 2025, he:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>Tore down a 10m x 3m fence

</li>

<li>Entered my land with a machete and illegally occupied my property

</li>

<li>Built a barrier wall dividing my house from the rest of the land (including two yoga decks, a bathroom, shower, kitchen, and ceremonial fire pit)

</li>

<li>Destroyed my fire pit, spray-painted my decks and walls, and stole all items from my bodega (garden and construction tools)

</li>

<li>Pitched a tent and is now living on my land daily

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The emotional and financial toll is enormous.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What This Has Cost Me</strong>

</div>

<ul>

<li>Over $2,000 already in legal fees, translators, and security

</li>

<li>Destruction and theft totaling $7,000–$8,000

</li>

<li>Loss of $3,000 in refunded rental income &amp; future income for the foreseeable future

</li>

<li>Closure of my boutique and online therapy practice

</li>

<li>Hundreds of violent, threatening messages, including rape and death threats

</li>

<li>Forced to shut down two websites and all social media to protect myself

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I'm currently down to my last $1,500

</div>

<div>My entire ability to work and generate income has been wiped out.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Who I Am</strong>

</div>

<div>For those who know me:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>I’ve been working since I was 14

</li>

<li>I don’t come from money—I overcame addiction, trauma, and poverty to put myself through school and earn a master’s degree in social work

</li>

<li>I’ve built successful businesses, funded service organizations, and dedicated my life to healing and helping others

</li>

<li>I’ve created everything I have with my own two hands

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’ve never asked for help like this before. I’ve always been the giver, the one holding space, offering advice, cooking meals, or offering someone a place to stay.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>But right now—I’m the one who needs support.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Where Things Stand</strong>

</div>

<div>I currently have four active legal cases:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li>Land dispute

</li>

<li>Theft

</li>

<li>Defamation

</li>

<li>Harassment

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’ve also filed for a restraining order for the protection of women against violence in guatemala. However, the Guatemalan legal system is slow and unpredictable and corruption is real here. It could take one to two years, or even longer, before justice is served.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In the meantime, I’m doing everything I can to stay safe, stay sane, and stay grounded—but I’m scared. I’m exhausted. And I’m trying to survive while being separated from my son and managing this crisis alone.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>

</div>

<div>If you’ve ever:

</div>

<div><br />

<div><strong>Help Mama Cacao Wow Get Back in Business </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi friends, family, and community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Clare Pear here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two and a half weeks ago, the van that powers my small business, <em>Mama Cacao Wow</em>, broke down unexpectedly on our way to the first big farmers market of the year — and alas, she's totaled. The head gasket blew and leaked coolant into the engine and the cost of repairs are far more than the van itself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I knew this was a possibility with my Sienna being an older horse, but she's been so reliable and I've been pouring love and minor fixes into her over the years. We are still in a young growth stage as a small business and I was planning on using this season's earnings to invest into a newer, more reliable vehicle. This is unfortunate timing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The van was more than just transportation — it was how I ran my entire business. From picking up ingredients and spring water, holding all of my product and big equipment, to traveling between markets from Fayetteville to Eureka Springs, and showing up for events near and far — it did it all. It was, quite literally, the engine that kept <em>Mama Cacao Wow </em>and myself running. Losing it has been a huge blow, and it’s put my business at a standstill. We have been working so hard these last few months from fine tuning and taking Cureate's business course. With missing five markets and no income, we’ve been eating the cost of owning and operating a small business and pausing our connection and visibility within these markets. It’s been hard emotionally and financially, but I’m staying hopeful and moving forward.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After exploring our options, a lot of thought (and encouragement from friends), I’ve decided to create a GoFundMe to help raise funds for a reliable replacement vehicle. This will allow me to keep showing up and share our lovely cacao, yummy drinks, healing elixirs, health shots and soul-nourishing connections with the community we love.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal is for a used, reliable, low-mileage commercial van or a car/truck with a trailer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will directly help us get back up and running!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’re able to donate, share, or simply send love this way, it would mean the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read, believing in me and in this dream. I’m forever grateful for every bit of support during this chapter, all the ones before, and all the ones to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love,

Support Noemi’s Celebration of Life!

<div>Hello everyone, my name is Cyre (Siri), and I am writing this in hopes to help a human in need of support. I am writing this about a wonderful friend, Ames Lee. Ames is bodyworker, space holder and animal rights advocate. And most importantly a stellar new mom who is having a difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ames and I met in the early 2000’s working at small hotel pub in Grande. Prairie, Alberta. Upon meeting Ames, I knew she was a special human. She had a healing spirit and an infectious smile and laugh. My soul aligned with hers right away. Fast forward to now, 20-something years later (!). Ames is a talented body worker, medicine facilitator and business owner. I reconnected with Ames via social media during her pregnancy and recent birth of her son, Woods. Messaging her sporadically, I came to find out Ames now lives abroad. I
</div>
<div>could see that in the last few months of Ames’s pregnancy and into the birth of Woods, her posts had changed and she was going through challenges. She was sad and struggling. Her vibrant spirit had darkened. Ames let me know that she had separated from Woods’ father. That alone being enough to make any new mom sad, stressed and struggle, she further confided that the relationship was quite emotionally damaging. Her partner had mentally and emotionally abused her and took advantage of her financially, draining her savings and resources. Ames had left the relationship to protect herself and Woods from
</div>
<div>further abuse and trauma. She left the home she created in the USA and travelled back to Central America where she felt it was the safest place to be to raise woods in a loving community and revive her business.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Currently, Ames is struggling. Ames is not only dealing with recovering from leaving an abusive relationship with a baby, but she was left financially devastated. It took everything she had left to relocate herself and Woods to a safer environment. Ames does not currently have a reserve of funds to get her through her “maternity leave”. Ames has resumed taking clients within her business, but as any new parents know, trying to maintain and manage a business while being a single parent is hard. Ames is working so hard to make ends meet and provide for herself and baby Woods. All while healing her heart and trauma, while needing to be strong for Woods.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am here to ask for help for Ames. Ames has dedicated her life to healing humanity and protecting the earth and all it’s creatures. She has always advocated &amp; raised funds for helping animals &amp; people in need and this time she needs the support from caring people like yourself. As anyone knows, it’s not easy to ask for help, it’s an incredibly vulnerable experience, but I believe we can come together and help a new mama in need. The trauma and stress from being a single mom with little support is taking a toll on her and I am hoping we can join together to help this human get back on her feet. My hope is that Ames stops having to stress about finances and let her get back to work healing humanity and raise Woods safely and lovingly. If you are able, please consider donating to Ames and Woods. All funds would go to helping Ames hire a nanny and support her and woods day to day. If you don’t feel comfortable using Go Fund Me you can also directly support her &amp; Woods by sending money to her Paypal ([email redacted]) or Venmo (@Ames-Balcome-1).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Much gratitude for reading, donating and sharing with others. Every dollar towards our goal counts.
</div>

</div>

<div><strong>Who We Are</strong>

</div>

<div>Camino Canicas is a grassroots initiative focused on providing trauma-informed expressive arts education to build resilience in the Indigenous communities of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. We create a safe space for children (3 to 11yrs) from under-resourced families affected by trauma, neglect and addiction.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>What We Do</strong>

</div>

<div>Using psychosomatic and mindfulness practices we create developmentally appropriate activities. The program offers emotional intelligence training, art, stories, ritual and play. Through this program the children develop positive memories, learn to express themselves, self-regulate and become more resilient and well adjusted.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Who We Help</strong>

</div>

<div>This diverse collective consists of children from the Tzʼutujil and Kaqchikel indigenous communities, many of whom are struggling with loss of a parent or a sibling, physical and emotional violence, poverty, addiction, and natural disasters around Lake Atitlán, Guatemala.

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Often serving children leads to holistically serving the family, providing council tools and support for the parents who are also struggling with the dynamics that oppress the children.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Working with diversity and different levels of privilege, the collective builds healthy bridges and social dynamics between the local children and children of travelers &amp; expats, therefore strengthening the collaborative bonds in the community. The group expressive arts therapy sessions provide a safe space for children to integrate their trauma and life stories.

Building Resilience for Kids of Lake Atitlán

<div>Dear family,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We recently received disheartening news about Audrey, our cherished elder, great grandmother, and wisdom keeper from the Lakota Nation. She has been diagnosed with cancer, but her indomitable spirit refuses to yield. Audrey is embracing various forms of alternative healing through holistic and natural medicine, determined to overcome this battle. In addition to caring for numerous grandchildren, she resides in a modest one-bedroom home that accommodates up to 8 people. Regrettably, financial struggles have compounded her challenges.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, we stand together, rallying support for Audrey's well-being. Our fundraising efforts aim to cover her rent, ensure access to clean, organic food, facilitate the purchase of medicinal medicine and fungi, explore holistic treatments, and investigate different insurance options. Audrey possesses an immense reservoir of wisdom, with a powerful voice, presence, and prayers that resonate with all who encounter her. She aspires to continue walking this earth, offering prayers for the people and sharing her sacred ceremonies with the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here's how you can contribute to Audrey's cause:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Donate Generously: Your generous contributions, regardless of the amount, will have a meaningful impact on Audrey's life. Every donation will help ease her financial burden and enable her to prioritize her healing journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Spread Awareness: Share Audrey's story with your friends, family, and wider community. By increasing awareness of her journey, we can gather more support and extend our reach to those who can assist.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Volunteer Assistance: If you possess expertise in holistic healing, alternative medicine, or any other form of support that could aid Audrey, we warmly welcome your valuable assistance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Participate in Fundraising Events: Stay tuned for upcoming fundraising events and initiatives. Participating in these events not only helps us achieve our financial goal but also fosters unity and solidarity in supporting Audrey's path.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, as a compassionate community, let us stand by Audrey during this trying time. Your love, prayers, and contributions will create a profound impact, enabling Audrey to continue bestowing her wisdom, prayers, and unwavering presence upon the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity.

Help Lakota Grandmother heal from Cancer

<div>I know there are many people in need during these incredible times of trial. I am making this page for my mother. We lost my sister to cancer almost a year ago now. My mother heroically stepped in and purchased the house my niece and nephew live. Because of inflation and cost of living on the rise she is slowly sinking further into debt. At 76 years old instead of abandoning her grandchildren, she has chosen to sacrifice her retirement. Recently our family dog of 13+ years escaped the yard and she is facing fines from OMHS. The reason my mother bought the home is so that Heather's children would not lose their stability in where they've grown up and made friends. My sister was only 47 years old. My niece is 11 and my nephew 12. I wish I had the finances myself, how I contribute is by helping my mother in any way I can. So I appeal to you all that have been touched by the cold hand of cancer. The heroes that have stepped in to raise loved ones so they have an opportunity to love and grow in a positive environment. You have the chance to help Donna a woman that has helped so many through her life and deserves the angels to save her. Please be one of those angels.
</div>

For Mom and her home to raise my niece and nephew

<div>Our beloved duo Amy and Zeppelin have been through the wringer…

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>These last few days have been nothing short of what felt like the end of the world for Amy. She thought she was losing her best friend when our buddy Zeppy had to go to the emergency pet hospital to have surgery or else he wouldn’t make it. Luckily, they were able to perform the surgery successfully and he’s recovering! But, unfortunately, we all know the bills don’t stop coming. They kept laying the fees on her and she was not necessarily prepared to pay for about $14,000 in bills on top of some of the worst days of her life worrying she was going to lose her baby.

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>If you’ve met amy even one time, you already know that she’s the most generous, kindhearted person in the world who does everything for everyone else. It’s our time to show up for her!

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>Please please consider donating to our sweet girl and her happy little baby. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of our help!!!!!

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>Much love.

Emergency intestinal surgery for Zeppy!

<div>The Kogi, meaning "Jaguar" people, are located high in the mountains of Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. They are an extremely special people--the only indigenous people who survived the Spanish conquistadors by hiding up in the mountains for 500 years until they broke their silence 30 years ago to give us a warning regarding the state of the planet.<br /><br />
</div>

<div>The Kogi are the last surviving civilization from the world of the Inca and the Aztecs. They are descendants of the Tairona people, the inhabitants of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from 2500 BC. <span>Although they don’t have the wheel, or even writing, they are unbelievably culturally advanced. They show an astuteness and understanding of human nature that is baffling. But, their knowledge is even deeper in matters of the environment and the ecosystem they inhabit.  Their spiritual leaders, the Mamos, dedicate their lives to keeping the balance of Mother Earth for all of humanity. In a Mamo's own words: “We are committed to doing everything we can – materially, spiritually, energetically, and mentally, on all dimensions. "</span><br />
</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>In 1990 they first broke their 500 year silence by allowing BBC filmmaker Alan Ereira to document their existence to issue a grave warning to the modern world : that we (“younger brother”) are killing the planet through ecological damage. To learn more, we suggest watching the documentary "Aluna".

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>Due to political unrest in Colombia, the sacred land the Kogi protect and the fabric of their culture is under attack.

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>This past weekend, due to an unfortunate accident, fires raged throughout one of their pueblos, burning temples and the living quarters of their people, leaving 130 families and children without a roof over their head.

</div>

<div><br />
</div>

<div>I spoke to a Kogi leader this past weekend and he was in tears, full of sadness, as they have worked tirelessly to rebuild sacred temples and preserve the cities of their people, only to have progress hindered by setbacks such as these.

</div>

<div>

</div>

<div>Currently, they have two urgent needs:

Kogi's Urgent Cry for Help

<div>Hi,
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Thanks for visiting our FundRaiser.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Our daughter Oriah was born two months premature by emergency C-Section at the public hospital in Solola, Guatemala. She spent her first seven weeks of life being cared for here. As her mother, I was visiting her and spent many hours in this hospital and my heart was so touched by how hard-working all the doctors and nurses were despite being so underfunded and working with VERY limited resources. This hospital was tragically under-resourced on many levels but the team here were doing the best they could to work with what they have.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>To anyone who has visited Lake Atitlan and fallen in love with the local Mayan people, this is a beautiful way to support. This hospital mainly caters to Mayans from the lake and surrounding areas and this is where life begins for many of the babies born at the lake. The NICU journey is an intense journey for mothers and babies and this is a ward that could really use some extra funding and support.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We owe Oriah's life to the team at Solola Hospital and for that we are looking to give back. The intensive care unit for babies at the Solola public hospital has around 30 infant patients on the ward at all times. It's a very busy ward that is in need of so many basic supplies, the biggest being a water filter so they have access to clean water to mix with the formulas for feeding. They are also in need of breat milk pumps to lend to the mothers so more of the babies can be fed their mothers milk from the beginning. Another small thing that would make a huge difference is comfortable nursing chairs for all the mamas who have to nurse their babies in there all hours of the day. There are many other necessities that this hospital ward needs and I am in contact with the main Doctor who is in charge of this ward to make sure that the money donated goes to where it is needed the most.
</div>

<div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Oriah is turning 1 on May 28th and this is a huge milestone considdering how tough her entry in to life has been. When she was born she was given at %5 survival rate. She has overcame so many severe battles in her first year of life but the battle isn't over. Her entire first year of life she has needed almost full time oxygen support, many medications, many doctors visits. So far we have spent around $USD 30,000 on all her medical bills. We have scrambled to find all the money and to keep up with her medical needs and... we are struggeling to keep up. She will likely continue to need oxygen support and many more medicine treatments for at least another year if not longer.
</div>

<div>Because she is on oxygen support, we can't travel with her. We can't go back to our home countries where we could earn more money. We luckily have a few small incomes here in Guatemala but we are not earning enough to pay for all her medical needs.
</div>

<div>We are hoping to raise some funding to help us to easen the burden of financing Oriah's medical journey.<br /><br />So for Oriah's 1st birthday we are asking for donations on here - rather than gifts.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We plan to donate 70% the donations to the Solola Hospital and use the other 30%  to help cover medical costs for Oriah's ongoing medical needs.<br /><br /><br /><br />

She struggles to maintain a balanced life and barely can get out bed, therefore, Chelsea has been unable to work to support and nourish herself.
</div>
<div>Chelsea has a beautiful heart and has been so generous to our community. She has helped so many people and has always been available to work over and above what has been requested.

Help Chelsea Serraino thru her medical crisis

<div>
</div>

<div>Hello Everyone!
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>While the community library is being built in central Nepal, I've teamed up with another organization called KarmaFlights that serves other marginalized areas.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>This year, I will spend my Thanksgiving trekking for a cause. KarmaFlights is a non-profit organization that believes the issue of poverty in Nepal can be solved through education. Their projects provide the most marginalized communities with long-term support so that they may remain physically healthy and have access to a proper education.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>At the end of November, I will join KarmaFlights in trekking to the small mountain villages in Western Nepal. These villages are part of Rukum District and only have road access up to a certain elevation. With the help of porters, we will carry winter coats up to the students in what will be a five day trek.<br /><br />Here is a link to last year's winter coat drive:<br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="YaZs2Qw10Hc" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YaZs2Qw10Hc/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe>
</div>

<div><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">I decided to champion this annual project after completing the Annapurna Circuit because I know first hand how cold it can be at over 16,000 feet. I've seen the way locals live and go to school in uninsulated (&amp; unheated) structures, and I understand that it is always cold in the mountain villages of Northwest Nepal. Karmaflights has been carrying out this project since 2015 and has delivered warm winter coats to over 10,500 school children. The schools and homes are still not completely rebuilt after the devastating Nepal earthquake of 2015 and later the COVID-19 and long time lockdown has completely paralyzed the local economy. Because of extreme poverty and illiteracy, parents are not able to afford the basic needs of children. This project will encourage school enrollment on the coldest of days, discourage school drop outs and more than anything, one coat can keep a child warm and safe from the potential cold borne diseases like pneumonia, cough and cold etc. (Specifically because a proper medical facility is hours away).</span>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>100% of your donation will go directly towards the coats that I will be hand delivering to the students. Each coat costs $10 and they're manufactured in Kathmandu to provide jobs to the local people.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>The funds will be used to produce the quality puffy jackets in Nepal. (Made in Nepal brand with the logo patch of KarmaFlights). Most funds will be used to buy the fabrics in local markets of Kathmandu and then the quantity of jackets will be made with maximum quality so the jackets can last at least 2 years. At least 20 local people will get a full time job with competitive wages for at least one month.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Leading up to the jacket distribution, I will be volunteering with KarmaFlights to implement other previously fundraised projects in Northwest Nepal. As I complete projects and get to know the communities, I will share updates with each of you so that you may get to know the Nepali villages where your donor dollar is serving.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>So far, we have delivered school uniforms and basic school supplies to two different schools. Please check out the<span style="font-size:1.0625rem;"> photos below. The students were so happy to have so many people who care about them and believe in their futures.</span>

<div>Please know that I am so grateful to have so many people who believe in providing the next generations a fighting chance at a limitless future in the developing world. Every little bit counts. $10 buys one child a new coat.<br />Thank you so much!<br />Courtney Young

Coats for Kids

<p>Hi, The Dynamic Scrip Leadership is raising funds for the very caring and giving Brenda Wright. Brenda has been in a bad accident and is experiencing major medical. She is stable, yet will require major surgery on her skull. We want to raise as much as possible to support Brenda with medical expenses that will accumulate during this time of surgeries and recovery. Brenda is such a giver to her community and the people she works with, she is a true Servant Leader. Please make a donation to support Brenda during this difficult time.
</p>

Help Brenda During this Difficult Time

<p>As many of you already know, on July 4, 2020 my 28-year old brother, Aaron had a life altering surf accident that left him paralyzed. Its been a challenging time for my brother and our whole family as he adapts to life without his former abilities.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>As a result of Aaron's spinal cord injury (SCI) he lives with symptoms of severe spacisity, aggressive muscle tone and daily, chronic pain. Its been a painful journey to witness our loved one in such pain and anguish, and certainly a great challenge for him to stay motivated and driven in his rehabilitation and adaption with this ongoing discomfort.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>I think I found a solution. A rather pricey solution, but a solution none-the-less!
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>I'm crowding funding $20,000 to fit and purchase Aaron to wearable therapy created by AxioBionics.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>AxioBionics designs, manufactures, and fits a wide array of innovative and life-changing medical devices for people with medical conditions affecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Their central focus is to promote and foster a healthier body by encouraging joint movement, muscle activation, and maximization of the body's potential.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>Their Wearable Therapy® treats the effects of neurological conditions such as disuse muscle atrophy and muscle spasms in patients with spinal cord injury.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>In addition to providing muscle therapy, Wearable Therapy® can help manage pain as well. It prompts the nervous system to suppress the transmission and perception of pain.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>AxioBionics products use the body to its own advantage. Instead of freezing joints, they liberate them. Instead of allowing muscles to lay dormant, they encourage them. Instead of succumbing to pain and disability, they find ways to overcome problems by using the body’s own physiological processes to ease them. AxioBionics products achieves these tasks through Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES).
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>Indications for NMES:
</p>
<p>•	Retarding or preventing disuse atrophy
</p>
<p>•	Maintaining or increasing range of motion
</p>
<p>•	Re-educating muscles
</p>
<p>•	Relaxation of muscle spasms
</p>
<p>•	Increasing local blood circulation
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>I truly believe this technology can make a drastic change in Aaron’s lives. Some SCI patient state that after a month of using their wearable therapy, they have become pain free and have managed to reduce and in some, even eliminate certain medications. Its been such a heartbreaking experience witnessing Aaron is constant, daily pain. This is a solution.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>This is how we'll utilize these funds:
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>Left Arm BioSleeve:  $6300
</p>
<p>Right Arm BioSleeve: $6300
</p>
<p>Left Hand Sleeve: $750
</p>
<p>Right Hand Sleeve: $750
</p>
<p>BioShorts: $4500
</p>
<p>Electrode gel ($32 per box, 2 boxes per month, for one year): $768
</p>
<p>Evaluation/fitting: $500
</p>
<p>=
</p>
<p>$19,868
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>There's no manual or hand-holding in the journey of spinal cord injury. And the effects and therefore needs are as varied and unique as the individuals who face them. The sector of medicine focusing on discovering cures and rememedies to this degenerative disease are innovative and impressive. They're also wildly costly. From the onset of Aaron's accident, I have often found myself shocked at the expense of therapies and technologies that aid this population to living more easefully and gracefully... for this population is often left in the position of limited employment opportunities. Its for this reality that we turn to you.... family, friends, neighbors, community members. Its due to our pooled and shared generosity that we can even fathom obtaining these devices for Aaron. It is my hope and prayer, that together, we can help Aaron rise from his present despair and suffering. Thank you for walking this long road with us... towards recovery, a growing and blossoming quality of life and adaptation.

Pain Management with Wearable Therapy for Aaron

As many of you already know, on July 4, 2020 my 28-year old brother, Aaron had a life altering surf accident that left him paralyzed. Its been a challenging time for my brother and our whole family as he adapts to life without his former abilities. <br /><br />This adaption has demanded flexibility in how Aaron navigates his day-to-day life, limitations in access and pressingly, navigating the "system." <br /><br />I started Aaron's application for in-home services back in September and unfortunately, we have faced one delay or obstacle after another. As a result, Aaron has had to pay out-of-pocket for home health aides to support him in his daily care, which has lead to his funds rapidly dissolving. From medical equipment to home retrofits, navigating the expenses of spinal cord injury has truly "broken the bank."<br /><br />I spoke with a case manager this past Tuesday who assured me that Aaron's case will be assigned to a case worker within the next week. From this point, it can take up to 45 days for Aaron to be approved for home health care coverage. On average, Aaron spends $3,000 a month on home health aides. I would love to crowd source this expense up until Aaron's benefits kick it. It is my hope that by eliminating one of his financial burdens, we can better create the circumstances for him to focus his energy and attention more fully to his rehabilitation and adaption to daily life living as a quadriplegic. <br /><br />They say, "Many hands make light work." Are you in the position to lend a hand? Even the smallest contribution, when given by many, can help move a mountain. <br /><br />I know its been a hard year for all of us. If you're not in the position to contribute financially, we thank you for sharing Aaron's story with your network. <br /><br />Thank you for holding us in your prayers, being a part of our family, and showing us what community means.

Caregiver Support For Aaron

In the early morning hours of December 25th, Oliver Merivee, founder of the Fungi Academy and a light in the mycological, psychedelic, and Lake Atitlan community, died suddenly and tragically. <br /><br />Oliver passed away in the Lake he held so close to his heart and soul, falling from a cliff and hitting his head on a rock before descending into the Lake’s unfathomable depths and entering the afterlife.<br /><br />Oliver was a brother, lover, healer, leader, visionary, and a source of inspiration to countless people. His story started from very humble beginnings in Estonia and continued in its modest way until only just recently. <br /><br />Oliver never graduated high school and had almost nothing to his name yet found the courage within himself to travel the world once he turned 18, begging for food and water on the streets of Mexico when he hit hard times. <br /><br />His love for Sacred Mushrooms was known to many, and he credited their healing power in helping him become a more empathetic, caring, generous human being and freeing himself from tobacco addiction. It was this deeply held belief in Sacred Mushrooms’ healing powers and their ability to change the world that led to the creation of the Fungi Academy. <br /><br />When Oliver’s world-spanning journey landed him on the shores of Lake Atitlan, he felt called to settle there and began sharing the magic of mushrooms with as many people as he could. He, along with close friends Tannel and Silvan, began to create a space where people could feel welcome, safe, and supported in their own healing. <br /><br />Set atop a hillside overlooking San Marcos la Laguna, the Fungi Academy, Oliver’s life work and a project that changed so many lives for the better, was born. <br /><br />Now, it is on us to continue Oliver’s legacy and push the Fungi Academy phenomenon forward into a new age without ever forgetting the man and ethos behind it.<br /><br />We’re all devastated by Oliver's loss and are utterly unprepared for the high cost of a funeral service, especially since in Guatemala, the system to retrieve a body is tedious, slow, and expensive. <br /><br />The Fungi Academy was also under Oliver’s name, so there are legal entanglements that currently prevent us from being able to access and pay for the services using the school’s few funds. <br /><br />Oliver was an exceedingly generous soul, always sharing any resources he had with the less fortunate. <br /><br />When the coronavirus descended onto Guatemala this Spring, he ran a fundraiser for the local Mayan community so they could afford the extreme price increases for basic staples like corn. When a tragic landslide hit San Marcos this summer, he continued this mission, providing those who’d lost their home with food and sweets.<br /><br />Oliver deserves a memorial and we feel it’s our duty to provide one in proportion to the grand man he was. We also feel, given his sudden passing, that he needs a chance to say goodbye to his family.<br /><br />As such, we’re currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Oliver’s memorial, including the expense of retrieving and cremating the body. We’re also seeking donations to help fund the cost of bringing Oliver’s Estonian family to the Lake to attend the memorial, which we estimate will be held some time in April. <br /><br />We’ve estimated these costs at $10,000 ($6,000 for retrieval and cremation, $4,000 for the travel costs of Oliver’s family). The deadline is April 1st, 2021. <br /><br />Please consider donating anything you can. No amount is too small. <br />Oliver lived his life healing himself before turning outwards and seeking to heal others. <br /><br />Now, we’re here asking for your assistance to help Oliver’s family and friends provide a memorial to heal ourselves, and preserve the legacy of this inspirational man.<br /><br />We’ll miss Oliver deeply for the rest of our lives. We’ve truly been touched by the outpouring of support and love we’ve received from all over the world. If you have known Oliver, we invite you to share a story of him with us, and make this page a living memorial to him. <br />In the words of Oliver. I honor you and empower you to be who you are.<br /><br />Mush love,<br />The Fungi Academy Family

Oliver Merivee's Memorial Funding

<span>The horrific torture and death of Tata Domingo Choc is reprehensible. Simply for preserving his indigenous tradition and culture. He was burned alive while an entire crowd watch and filmed his death rather than helping him. He spent his entire life dedicated to spirituality and to the learning of the healing of plants and because of the indoctrination of the indigenous people he was found to be a “sinner” and a “witch” and killed. This bigotry, racism and prejudice is nothing new to the Mayan spiritual community and this is our opportunity to support his family and his community. May Ahau bless his spirit and those of his loved ones and may his horrific passing awakened the masses. </span>
