<div>Kristen and Rich Kunz, along with their daughters Emma and Abby, are facing an incredibly difficult journey. In August 2023, Kristen was diagnosed with Bulbar-onset ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). ALS is a devastating disease that has profoundly changed their family’s daily life.

<div>Almost immediately after her diagnosis, Kristen lost the ability to speak. Roughly a year later, Kristen lost the ability to eat food and must now use a feeding tube daily for her nutritional needs.
</div>

<div>All the while, the physical changes that occur with an ALS diagnosis have continued to progress. Kristen’s neck, arms, hands and legs grow weaker each day.
</div>

</div>
<div>The Kunz Family continues to face the many physical, emotional and financial challenges that come with an ALS diagnosis with support from family and friends.
</div>

<div>However, as Kristen’s condition progresses, the family needs additional support with professional caregiving and making their home and transportation accessible for her needs. Unfortunately, many of these essential expenses are not covered by medical insurance, leaving the family facing significant financial burdens.

Without a vehicle to get back-and-forth to work an getting them to school an  from ActivitiesIts going to be a struggle with the holidays come up Especially with the wait of the city of Paterson response will take weeks or months.

Help for the Ardizzone Family

<a href="http://www.nj.com/bergen/index.ssf/2014/11/police_looking_for_hit-and-run_driver_who_struck_pedestrian_in_paramus_friday.html">Mrs. Anila Llukaj was the victim of a hit-and-run automobile accident on the night of Friday, November 14th.</a>   She suffered grave injuries and after spending a week in intensive care she passed away peacefully on the night of Saturday, November 22nd.  She leaves behind her husband, Arben, and two sons, Eraldo and Ardian.  Eraldo is a junior at Ramsey High School and Ardian is a fourth grader at Dater School in Ramsey, NJ.<br /><br />The Llukaj’s are new to both Ramsey and the United States having moved here in August from Greece.  As you can imagine, the medical costs are enormous.  This account has been established to help the family by accepting any and all donations.  <br /><br />During this time of Thanksgiving as we remember the first pilgrims, please consider donating to help these modern-day pilgrims and spread the word of this option through social media.
