<div>On June 10th, our family’s world changed forever when Aryanna (Ary), just 20 years old, was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In an instant, life looked completely different. Ary and her partner, Sawyer, were building their life together — making plans for the future and living as a young couple focused on what comes next. Instead, they were suddenly faced with a diagnosis and a fight neither of them ever expected.

He enjoyed reading Rick Riordan books, and writing about the characterization of Greek gods as well as various dragon types. He loved his dog Duke, his kittens Moose and Scout, and pretty much all animals. He was an avid observer of nature—pointing out the moon, colors of sunsets, trees. He played trombone in band and jazz band and was an honors student at John Deere Middle School. Always social, he loved being with friends and family, volunteering, and didn’t mind being dragged to meetings, art openings and galleries with his mom. He enjoyed rock hounding, Texas hold’em poker and playing D&amp;D with his dad. He also loved watching YouTube videos of guys playing video games, which is kind of a mystery to his parents. He was a genuine, special soul giving in life and continuing to give to others after his death, possibly helping 200 others by being a tissue donor. Wise beyond his years, he said many memorable quotes, like when he was seven, “Just because I’m scared, doesn’t mean I don’t want to do it.”

<div>On the morning of February 16, my sister came home from work to see smoke coming out of her house while all of her pets were trapped inside. She went inside the porch, and was met with a wall of flame at the front door. She tried to call for her animals to come, but only one of her dogs was able to make it out by breaking through his kennel. She lost all of her other animals and belongings to the fire.

<div>When fire fighters showed up on the scene, the temperature of the fire was over 1000°F, and the fire had spread through the entire house. The fire chief has deemed the cause of the fire as indeterminable due to the severity and destruction.

<div>Chad Stevens has a challenge ahead of him. He has a hereditary disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease. PKD is an inherited disorder in which clusters of cysts develop primarily within your kidneys, causing your kidneys to enlarge and lose function over time. The cysts vary in size, and they can grow very large. Having many cysts or large cysts can damage your kidneys. PKD is a disease that slowly progresses over many years leading to kidney failure. There is no cure for PKD, and over time, the only treatments are either a kidney transplant or dialysis.

<div>Chad's kidney function has been slowly deteriorating for years and now it's at 14%, which means he needs a new kidney or will have to go on dialysis. He just finished all of his testing at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and besides his deteriorated kidney function, his other test results came back great and the surgeons have approved Chad for a new kidney. Chad is very fortunate to live just 2 miles from this world-class hospital.

<div>Mayo Clinic is consistently ranked as one of the top transplant centers in the United States and has been recognized for excellence in multiple specialties including nephrology. Mayo Clinic's transplant program has achieved excellent outcomes, with five-year survival rates for kidney transplant recipients exceeding 92%. Living donor kidneys have a better chance of being accepted by the recipient's immune system. The kidney lasts longer: Living donor transplants last 15 to 20 years on average, compared to 10 to 15 years on average for deceased donor transplants.

<div>Unfortunately, after coming to Phoenix and going through testing, Chad's son Andrew did not qualify to donate a kidney. Chad's son Ryan will be going through testing as another potential donor. This means more travel and testing will have to be done to see if he qualifies to give a kidney. This is a long process that takes a lot of time and money. There are many expenses besides the cost of the surgery. Ryan will be making trips to Phoenix from Minneapolis over the next few months for testing. Once qualified he will have to travel to Phoenix again for the actual transplant. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Ryan will have a 6-12 week recovery time which means he cannot work, drive, or do any lifting. Chad will be out of work for approximately 6 weeks and be on anti-rejection medication for the rest of his life. Insurance will cover a portion of the medical expenses, but it does not help with lost wages and travel expenses that will occur over the next 4-6 months. Mayo Clinic also requires Ryan and Chad to have full-time caregivers during their recovery time, which is also another financial burden they will carry.

<div>We have set up this campaign in hopes of helping Chad be able to take advantage of this chance at a healthier and happier life. It will take the pressure off of Ryan, and give him the ability to not have to worry about financial obligations and focus on this life-changing gift he is preparing to give his dad. My dear friend back home in Wisconsin lost everything he had last night to a house fire. He has been through so much tragedy in the last few years and this is a devastating blow to his rebuilding process. This was a multi-generational farm that he inherited after his family had passed on. He was doing great things with this place and rebuilding what his parents had started. He has been working very hard the last few years on expanding a vegetable farm on the property in which he was selling to local restaurants and local farmers markets. Broken Shovel Farms was providing organic vegetables for people in the area and was on the up and up until this devastating fire last night. Henry is also a very avid music enthusiast and has been a part of the local music scene for as long as I can remember. He had an extensive collection of instruments and studio gear that has been claimed by the fire. Two things that I've known about Henry: food and music have always been his life. Now his passions have been briskly taken away from him due to this tragedy. I am asking anybody that knows me to please consider donating to my good friend and help him with his road to recovery. Henry lost everything in a house fire

<p>CJ spent most of her time since her junior year of high school as a CNA and an LPN helping people in hospital settings. More recently she was going back to school to become an RN so that she could take on more responsibilities and have a bigger impact in taking care of patients.
</p>

<p>In March, CJ went to the doctor after months of a bad cough and was treated for pneumonia. After the cough continued, CJ sought a second opinion and was feared to have Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After two biopsies and many doctor visits the fear was real and she was diagnosed in the beginning of April. CJ was rushed into surgery after doctors found a baseball size mass by her heart and lungs that was causing a fluid build up around her heart. CJ had to have a pericardial window surgery and tubes placed in her chest to drain the fluid so her heart could work properly again. After five days in the hospital, she was released to come home to start the long and painful process of healing.

<p>CJ has started chemotherapy to fight the cancer that has formed in her chest. We are starting this GoFundMe so that CJ will not have to be burdened with medical bills, lost wages, and any unforeseen expenses that go along with treatment.

On October 22nd, 2020 Brian went in to have a procedure done for his migraine cluster headaches. During the procedure there were complications and Brian had to be rushed by ambulance to the ICU. After this crisis was managed Brian learned his nerves had been damaged, which left him with loss of sensation from the chest down. Brian has had to relearn to walk and is fighting through chronic pain.  Brian was left with no choice but to take a leave from his role at Headway Emotional Health. To complicate his situation further, Brian’s body has reacted to his mobility issues by forming blood clots in his legs and lungs. Hello to all.  Two years ago our dear friends Tricia and Will Schusterick made a wonderful decision, it was time to try for a baby.  The next two years would be filled with many tests, tears, frustrations, and deep perseverance as they struggled to become pregnant. They never gave up hope and in May of this year a wonderful gift happened. A positive pregnancy test.  As Tricia's heart was overcome with joy she grabbed a sharpie, one of Will's discs and started to write the surprise note. It read "Baby Schusterick coming January 2021!" This was a wonderful day after two years of such struggle.  In August more wonderful news came again in the announcement that the little one growing was a boy! Oh what joy flooded over them! A baby boy! Here is where it gets hard. At the first ultrasound the little guy was measuring smaller than usual so they were referred to a specialist for more scans. The initial thought was they probably just got the due date wrong. A week later Tricia was sent to the specialist alone, because due to Covid guidelines Will wasn't allowed to join. There she sat waiting for what felt like a lifetime trying her best not to worry. The specialist finally came and told her the news. They diagnosed baby Schusterick with Tetralogy of Fallot, which is a combination of four different heart problems. The four being pulmonary stenosis, ventricular septal defect, overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy. He is going to need 1-3 open heart surgeries in the first year of his life and possibly one might need to happen as soon as he is born. The specialist told her if she were to give birth where they live then their son would potentially not survive. They have been referred to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital where they will relocate to Nashville before his due date to get ready for him to enter this world and have the best care possible. They have already met with many doctors and staff at Vanderbilt and feel confident he will be in good hands, but this doesn't change the fact that they are just scared. So scared of the unknown and all of the planning that is taking place right now to make sure they are ready. Tricia has been having an ultrasound a week at Vanderbilt, and she was just told this past week that he is not growing well and they will start to ultrasound twice weekly to monitor him.  She was told that when she comes in she always needs to be ready for them to admit her because there is a high chance they will have to intervene early and get him out so he can grow in the NICU.  He is only 26 weeks old. Friends this is a huge burden to bear. They need help! What we can do for them is help bear some of the financial load . They have been given quotes that are completely overwhelming. They will need to move to Nashville for who knows how long. Tricia's full time job will be caring for this young one. As Will will try his best to carry his family financially traveling back and forth from Georgia and Tennessee.  Friends this is our time to rise up and show them they have an amazing community of people that are here for them. Let's flood them with our love and support. The bills are already piling up from all the ultrasounds, specialist consultations, and travel to Nashville. They need our help and they need it now. If you know these amazing humans you know they would do the same for you. Will and Tricia are some of the most kind and generous people I have ever met.  They have prayed so hard for the gift of a child and they are fighting so hard right now to save his life. On 8/17/17 we lost Diane Pickett to the tragic home explosion in Shawano. She leaves behind a loving husband, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and countless family members and friends. Diane was known for her infectious smile, loving attitude, and her deep desire to help people who were in need.<br /><br />This passion led her to become a volunteer and board member for SAM25, a charity that operates a seasonal homeless shelter called SAM's house. Their mission statement: We help those affected by poverty improve their circumstances and become self-sufficient. <br /><br />She was putting her effort into the Steps To Success program and was passionate in her efforts to end homelessness. The Steps to Success program guides individuals who are homeless to community resources and housing options so they can get back on their feet. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be put directly into this program, which will have a monumental effect on the charity and community.  Jen Bisterfeldt is the beneficiary of this campaign as she is the Executive Director of SAM25 and will be putting these funds directly into the Steps to Success program. <br /><br />I know that Diane would've wanted something good to come out of this tragic situation.
