The Whole Bottom Level Is Not Currently Livable Due To The Damage And The Flooding. We Actually Have To Vacate The Premises As Soon As Possible And Get An Hotel During This Unfortunate Situation Which We Wasn’t Prepared For Additional Financial Burdens. The House Is Currently Full Of Bacteria and Mold Is Beginning To Grow. It Is Not Currently Fit For My Wife To Live As She Continues To Go Through Her Own Recovery Journey After Suffering A Brain Aneurysm And 6 Strokes. My Wife Is Also Currently Bedridden And Requires 24hr Care. While Staying At Hotel I Have To Also Rent Some Equipment For My Wife To Transfer Her Correctly. <div>Hi, my name is Fallon Taylor. I'm starting this fundraiser in honor of my sister, Tremeka Youngblood Washington and her family. On October 8, my sister's three children were the victims of a terrible act of violence that claimed the life of her only daughter and left her sons injured from the subsequent car accident. Her youngest son, Kai, who is pictured on the right, suffered the most life-altering injuries that has changed the trajectory of our lives forever. His mother Tremeka, will be out of work for an unknown amount of time because her life will now be one of taking complete care of Kai, as he suffered a severe spinal cord injury which left him in a quadriplegic state. They will need assistance with expenses for his care as well as the costs to ensure accessibility for their home in order to prepare and care for him. The primary goal is to be able to get support needed for my family, as his care will also include mental health counseling because Kai has developed anxiety, depression, and PTSD from the events of that night. Help A Family in the Midst of Tragedy and Loss

It is with great sadness that the family of <strong>Bryce Gowdy</strong> confirms that he has passed away. We are overwhelmed with the support and care everyone has shown as his spirit still lives within everyone he has touched. We are in great need of assistance paying for all funeral costs and services. Hi everyone!  My name is Kerri McIlvenna, formerly known as Kerri Fabian.  Due to the recent flood disaster in Louisiana, my husband Kerry and I have lost our home and 90% of our furniture and personal belongings in Walker, Louisiana.  A number of my friends from Pennsylvania and here in Louisiana have asked I post a GoFundMe Page.  I have been torn the past couple of days as to whether or not to start an account.  With a heavy heart, I believe my husband and I have no choice.  Five and a half weeks ago, he was forced into an early retirement, and I am the only one working in our household.  At the end of September though, I will have to take four weeks off work for a total hysterectomy.  Regarding the flood, we do have insurance and hopefully our house will be repaired within the next several months.  However, the flood insurance will not cover any of our living expenses for the time being and personal contents to include furniture in the home. Your donations will be used to getting us back on our feet to include temporary housing and living expenses in the months to come, as we are praying to not be separated from one another during this difficult time in both of our lives.  Thank you all from the bottom of both of our hearts, and anyone who truly knows me will definitely know how difficult it was for me to begin this account.

Louisiana Flood 2016 Assistance

Wake up at 5. Maybe there’s breakfast, maybe there isn’t. Clean your brothers and sisters and head to the garden. Finish your chores for the morning and head off to school. Walk 2 miles on an empty stomach; sit in a classroom for 4 hours. It’s break time; the school offers boiled corn-meal for lunch. Head back to the classroom for 5 more hours. Go home. Work in the garden until the sun goes down. Eat dinner, maybe. Take care of your siblings, and then finally get some rest.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/5662150_1443111717.0209_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />This is the storyline that drew me to the village of Kyabirwa, Uganda. Kids from the age of 5 to 18 live out this story day in and day out with no reprieve. My hope is that at some point, between my first and last days here in the village, I will make even the smallest impact toward relieving this cycle.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/5662150_1442940438.9991_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />The time I will spend here is dedicated to the development of the village’s first ever computer literacy class at the primary school. While not the easiest undertaking, with only 9 laptops for 1,100 students, we are seeing much progress. When I find myself frustrated because a student doesn’t understand the concept of the Shift key, I put myself in their shoes. I can only imagine their frustration, as they are expected to type 50 words per minute in secondary school, having never seen a keyboard in their life. For that reason, I take a breath, and am more than happy to repeat myself once more.<br /><br />I’ve grown very passionate in seeing the success of these students and this community. In working toward this ideal, I’ve begun to focus my energies on one other ambitious project. Started one year ago by two gracious volunteers, we are in the middle of a construction project to build a much need assembly hall. Once the construction can be completed, the potential for the hall is limitless!
