<div>On March 30, 2026, Joel was found severely burned in Victorville and had to be airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. He has suffered third-degree burns over approximately 90% of his body and remains in extremely critical condition.

<div>On April 13th, Darin suffered a large stroke. The day before we went to urgent care. He had high blood pressure, experiencing dizziness and had trouble walking. They sent us home. I took him to the ER the following day and there they confirmed he had a stroke. In November, I left my job to be with my parents. My father suffered a stroke and was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately,  my father passed away in February. Now, my family is going through this health crisis. Darin is the sole provider as I continue looking for employment. Any donation would be much appreciated or share our story. Darin has been an active person with the community, he coached Ariel in softball and Zack in baseball. People still come up to him, and say, Hi, coach! Darin's work territory is in Chino/Chino Hills so he is known by many local businesses.

<div>My world has been shattered and will forever have a missing piece. Melanie passed away peacefully yesterday, 11/23/2023 at 11:31am. She was at home, surrounded by family and I think she held on just long enough for my daughter Lauren to get there and say her goodbye. But also so that Lauren could be there to hold me and be there for Brody.
</div>
<div>On 10/30, we learned that the cancer had spread to her liver, which meant things would be getting worse. Mel would be starting a new chemo, which would be the last treatment option. After this, she wanted to get some bucket list items checked off... She only got a few of them done, but one was to take Brody to his first concert just a few nights later. I know that will be a core memory for him... and for me as well.
</div>
<div>Everything went very quickly since last Monday, 11/13. We learned that the chemo she had just started did not have any effect. Her oncologist told us that hospice was the next step and she likely had weeks left. We tried to plan things as fast as we could but after a week, she had so much trouble breathing that she could no longer get up our stairs and needed a hospital bed.
</div>
<div>Anyone that knew Melanie has been forever impacted by her friendliness, her kindness, her bright smile, and her endless positivity and inspiration. I told Brody that there is no one that doesn't love his mom. I would always joke that she is "Chino Hills Famous" because no matter where we would go, we would run into someone that knew Mel and we'd stop to talk.
</div>
<div>I have always known that she never hesitated to make herself available for anyone that needed her, especially when it was someone dealing with cancer. She would give out her phone number to anyone that needed it, for themselves or for anyone that needed help related to cancer. She took all of those calls, regardless of who they were. Countless times she would be in our room behind closed doors giving support on the phone.
</div>
<div>Over the years, I frequently heard from people how inspirational she was to them. I never took those stories for granted, as I knew that was just who Melanie was. But more recently, there have been friends explaining to me just how important she was to them during times that they really needed support. That she, specifically, is the main reason they got through hard times... by giving her time and emotional support. She has truly left a legacy of positivity.
</div>
<div>Melanie will always be the most amazing mother that I have ever known. She loved Brody with every ounce of her being, and she always will. Nothing got in the way of her being there for him, no matter what he needed. I can only hope to make her proud and continue to do the same for him. Lauren was 2 years old when she first met Melanie... and Mel loved her like her own daughter since that day. She also did anything she could to be there for Lauren for whatever she needed. But Mel didn't think that she was doing anything special or differently than anyone else should do.

<div>With our grandson, Beckham, entering our lives... her heart was exploding with love for this kid. She lit up whenever that boy was in the room, and this was the same even during her last days.
</div>
<div>Melanie captured my heart the first time we spoke. We worked together and went out on a break one day. She asked to see a picture of Lauren, and then wanted to know everything about her. She had my heart from that day on. She had such a passion for fun, which I loved because it was a bit opposite of how I was. She made sure that our family was doing the fun things in life, and she kept me young. She was always there for me to lean on, even while she was dealing with cancer. She made me laugh and was my best friend in life. I felt her love so truly and deeply... I'm not sure what I will do without her.

<div>I am so thankful for the family and friends that have been there for me, Brody, and Lauren over the past few weeks and months. Most of all, my sister-in-law Shannon, who stayed with me overnight Wed-Thu when things were getting much worse. I don't know how I would have done it without her there with me sitting beside Mel through the night. Just after midnight, as Mel was not communicating much anymore... Mel perked up a bit, looked directly into my eyes and said "I love you" and smiled. I told her the same and she went back to sleeping. This was the last thing she said, and I will hold that gift in my heart for eternity. She gave that to me, and she held on so that I would be comforted when she left.

<div>Hi, my name is Wendy. My husband Ryan suffered a trauma to his head that revealed a severe neurological disorder. On August 2nd we received the results of long-awaited  neurological tests and it was revealed that Ryan suffers from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a fatal condition.  Ryan is 48 years old and a dedicated Firefighter for US Forestry Service (private contract). While on duty, a falling tree struck him in the back of the head.  This injury caused trauma which then revealed the CJD condition. Ryan needs 24-hour care for the rest of his life. He requires help with all simple day-to-day tasks and supervision at all times. Needless to say, his failing health requires expensive care the family was not prepared for. We are putting all our resources together to fund Ryan's day-to-day care, but we need your help and support. Kids first Christmas without “Grandpa J”

<div>Bobby Gayle Jr. is the victim of a senseless, racially motivated hate crime. He was shot 7 times while working in Stockton, CA, on October 8, 2021. He was shot by the perpetrator, who was driving recklessly, after he and his fellow coworker/friend told the suspect to "slow down!" The perpetrator attempted to first hit Bobby and his coworker with his vehicle and failed. The perp proceeded to get out of the car with a loaded gun, point it in their direction as he yelled racial epithets and slurs at the victim and his friend. They placed their hands up and begged for him to not shoot them. The perp fired without mercy and struck Bobby 7 times. Bobby was able to roll under a truck and seek some cover. His friend was able to escape unscathed and later came back to aid Bobby and contact emergency services. Fortunately, Bobby is in stable condition after sustaining 7 got shot wounds and is recovering surrounded by loved ones. Unfortunately, the suspect has not yet been located. Update: (As of 10/14 the suspect has been found)!!!

<p>Kristen dreamed of being a mom and after several years of fighting an uphill battle, her and her husband Keith, received the good news that they were expecting. This bundle of joy is the first great grandchild in the family and we couldn't have been happier for her and her little growing family. With approximately 5 weeks left, we gave her an amazing baby shower to celebrate the upcoming addition.

<p>About 3 weeks prior to her due date, Kristen started developing COVID-19 symptoms. Things progressed quickly and she ended up in the hospital with an official "positive" test as well as confirmation of having COVID pneumonia. She was in the hospital for 4 days at this point and was sent home with antibiotics. After less than 48 hours she returned to the hospital not able to breath and worried about her unborn baby. Her husband Keith wasn't allowed to enter the hospital at the time and a few short hours later received a heart wrenching call that he needed to come to the hospital ASAP due to baby and mama not doing well. I can only imagine what was running through his mind at the time. Keith waited almost 2 hours while they did an emergency c-section and was able to see his wife and their new addition, Summer Reign. Kristen was able to hold her baby girl for a few short minutes before she was rushed off to ICU. Keith did an amazing job being a new dad and caring for Summer while she was in the hospital.

<p>Kristen has now been in ICU since July 27th. We are all praying for a miracle but at this point she has a long road to recovery. We're being told that she has a long way to go with an unknown amount of time in ICU. Kristen is on 100% oxygen with an additional CPAP machine and almost went on a ventilator yesterday. The doctors are re-evaluating her situation by the minute and have cut off communication between Kristen and our family at this point because of her condition. Kristen was able to watch the baby through facetime up until a few days a go.

<p>This young family is facing a large amount of unknown medical expenses. New Mom Kristen McMullen Lost Her Fight w COVID

Thank you all for your generosity. Dora Molina, who is Tomas' wife asked me, Alejandra Valles, Secretary Treasurer of SEIU USWW, Tomas' labor union, to set this fundraiser up for her. Dora Molina will be the beneficiary of this GoFundMe. The funds raised will go directly to Dora Molina, Tomas' wife, and will help with Tomas' funeral and burial expenses. We also learned that Tomas had recently bought his first home. Tomas was the sole breadwinner for his family. He was stabbed to death while preventing an intruder from entering the apartment building where he was working. He died as he lived, as a protector and hero. I am reaching out in hopes of finding support for our neighbor Ryo.<br />A few months ago Ryo was taken away by ambulance, some weeks after that a crew was in the hallway cleaning out his apartment and we thought he had died, in fact a friend of his set up a memorial to him in front of his building at 133 Ave D asking if anyone knew what had happened to him. <br /><br />Yesterday Ryo returned home after hospitalization and months of COVID rehabilitation.  He arrived to the building to find his locks changed and his apartment emptied out except for his piano and tortoise (who was left alone for months). He had worked throughout the pandemic as a restaurant worker. He initially got sick in October and was hospitalized in January.<br /><br />He has no shoes, no toothbrush, no documents or ID, no passport, no fridge or stove. <br /><br />He needs assistance to get his life back and move forward. On Thursday, February 25th, 2021 at 8:58 AM, Deputy Thomas J Albanese made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.<br /><br />Deputy Thomas Albanese served honorably in the Marine corps, serving four combat tours from March 2001 through March 2010 and was highly decorated.<br /><br />He joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 2013, and was a seven year veteran, a dedicated professional and an excellent partner. <br /><br />Thomas served at Men's Central jail,  Transit Services Bureau, Lakewood Sheriff Station, where he was a field training officer, and Pico Rivera station where he served as a motor officer. <br /><br />Deputy Albanese is survived by his wife of 12 years, Erica, and his two young boys.<br /><br />Please contribute what you can to ensure that Thomas' wife and sons want for nothing during this excruciatingly painful time. <br /><br />He will be greatly missed by all of us.  Thomas, we carry on in your name.

Tonester Paints is a local artist based in Athens, Ohio and makes paint mixing content for Tiktok, Instagram and Youtube. He used to work at a paint store and recongized that users were enjoying and engaging with his paint content. He had developed a buisness plan to show his marketing department how they could develop brand awareness through these channels. Once he made the plan, the VP of Marketing had told him there was no need for him to see the presentation at the time. Tonester Paints then started purchasing his own paint and contunied to use creative ways to engage his audience. A few months later, Loss Prevention of the company fired him for “Gross Misconduct” because people were calling customer service to ask about his videos. After he had been fired, he made a studio in his friends basement to keep making the paint videos and his working on developing his own brand.

A sweet soul was taken too soon from her family due to a domestic violence tragedy on June 3, 2018.<br /><br />Mary just turned 49 and was a beaming light to all. This is my daughter, Cora.  This morning she and both her grandparents, her mother, her uncle, her two younger brothers and younger sister were involved in a house fire.   Cora, my daughter, received 2nd degree burns on her arms and face, but thankfully everyone made it out alive, including their two puppies.
