Hi,I believe in what you put into the world always finds its way back to you.
That’s why today, I’m taking a chance and reaching out for help with something that’s deeply personal to me. I’m an 18 year old girl from Australia, and I’m fundraising for a nose surgery that I’ve needed for years.
When I was younger, I fell down and broke my nose. At the time, I didn’t realise how much it would affect me later in life. As I grew older the injury led to me having a deviated septum and breathing problems that have only worsened with time. Some nights I wake up struggling to breathe through one side of my nose, and even simple things like sleeping or exercising feel harder than they should.
The physical pain is one thing but the emotional impact has been just as heavy. The change in my nose’s shape has affected my confidence for as long as I can remember. I’ve learned to hide behind angles, avoid getting in group photos and act like I don’t like photos but realist is deep down it’s something that’s always made me feel uncomfortable in my own skin.
I only have my mum left in my life, and she’s already been through so much. I’ve always tried to be independent, started to work, and never ask for help because I don’t want to cause her more stress or worry. however this time, I’ve realised I can’t do it on my own. The surgery would help me finally breathe properly again and maybe, for the first time in years I truly feel confident and at peace with myself.
Any donation, no matter how small would mean the world to me. It would bring me immense weight off my shoulders annd finally be able to breath and feel good about myself.Even sharing this means more than you know.
Thank you for reading my story, and for supporting me on a journey that’s not just about appearance, but about finally being able to live and breathe freely again. ❤️
