<div>Dance Fairies is registered 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization founded by a passionate young dancer. Our organization's sole mission is to spread the joy of dance to aspiring young dancers in the community and around the world. Over six years ago, we embarked on our journey, and in that short time, we were able to collect and re-distribute thousands of gently used costumes, leotards, and all types of dance attire to aspiring dancers near and far. After the performances and competitions, dance costumes usually end up in closets taking up space and collecting dust. This is where the Dance Fairies organization comes in! Not only are we giving those costumes a second chance to sparkle on stage again, but we are sharing our love of dance with those less fortunate and also reducing the impact on environmental resources. The production of textiles is exhaustive on resources like land, water, and energy throughout the manufacturing and transportation process and is a significant contributor to pollution in waterways. Therefore, our "reuse and reduce" efforts have a direct positive impact on young aspiring dancers and global landfills. Not only is reusing costumes cost-effective and good for the environment, but it sometimes can add extra meaning and significance to a performer when they are able to dance wearing the same costume as a dancer who generously donated it.

<div>Dance Fairies has made a commitment this year to collect and redistribute 10,000 dance costumes to aspiring dancers. We are well on our way to reaching that goal but we need your help! <span>It takes a special mom to be a hockey mom. We all know what it’s like to wake up at 5am for a game two hours away in a freezing cold rink to stand in the bleacher and cheer for our son and or daughter. We pray when the game gets to rough our kids stay safe. If one does get hurt we squeeze our fellow hockey mom’s hand next to us and together we hope he or she gets up! <br /><br />Dawn Robinson is one of those special hockey moms. In early April her son Cole Robinson a hockey player for the RI JR. Blues found himself in the fight of his life. Cole was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) a hockey mom or any mom’s worst nightmare. Cole is currently working on getting healthy at Hasbro Hospital.<br /><br />Hockey is a great sport and we cant wait to see Cole back on the ice but,  in situations like this it’s not what organization you play for or the wins or losses that matters. What matters is your hockey family and friends who will support you in times like these. I am honored to be supporting such a great family and I hope every hockey mom and family stands behind this family and help support them with the long road ahead. financials should never be what’s on a families mind and we hope that hockey moms and all moms can stand together and hold this hockey moms hand as we watch Cole get healthy for the upcoming season. <br /></span>

On Tuesday April 10th,  The Colantuono family had a fire at their home on Country Club Drive in Warwick Rhode Island. Luckily no one was hurt however the fire started in Niveyah's room burning her wheelchair to almost nothing. I just visited their home and it's a complete loss.  Niveyah is the sweetest girl in the world, when she smiles, you smile.  She loves everyone and pretty much lost all of her belongings, it's heartbreaking. Niveyah has special needs and with the Colantuonos now living in a hotel with nothing except tears of joy that everyone is okay,  this little girl needs her chair now more than ever.  Please see it in your hearts to give what you can. It is a very expensive chair so please, even a dollar helps!
