I hope this lights a fire

Hi everyone, I'm James Griffin. I'm from Charlotte, NC. For the past 7 years, me and my family have been supporting myself and my girlfriend. In April 2023, my girlfriend was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. She had a bulge in her lower back for about 3 years. The pain got so bad she could not stand to get to the car. As soon as we got to the hospital, she was paralyzed from the waist down. If you don't know, it is a blood cancer that is found in the bone marrow that travels all through the body. It is very painful. The cancer destroyed her T11 and the one above it. They fused her spine, which released the pressure, so she had to learn to walk again. I have been the sole provider and the only person she has to help take care of her. My mom's husband passed 2 years ago, and she has been forced to close her and my brother's business, so they have been forced to file bankruptcy. Now back to my situation: I was receiving help from my mother for a while. I can't afford to pay our bills alone. My girlfriend has 3 children, and lots of her friends have helped her out. Literally, on the 26th of August, our power is off. I have called and done everything possible. I even started a GoFundMe for my girlfriend, and after almost a year, she has not received a dime, nickel, or penny. Not a dollar. All I do get is lots of people who want to help me with my GoFundMe page so it will get more views. I am highly skeptical this is going to help us. I'm trying to get money to pay our bills for a month or two. I also want to purchase a computer so I can start a new business. I need a heavy-duty PC for this business with about 2TB of memory, 8 cores, and so on, so I can start working for Vara/Subscan. The job is waiting, but I can't start until I get the PC. If you would like to pay a bill or send money, either way is fine. I'll give the info if you request it. I will continue to update everyone about the progress of this GoFundMe. If it doesn't work this time, I am going to have some serious doubts about the legitimacy of GoFundMe. We have 2 dogs that I care dearly for. They both were rescued, and I am 100% sure she would go crazy if I left her or had to take her to the pound. They both are 7 years old, and I can't see me taking them to the pound with our 3 cats: Jeff, Sissy, and Jason. Jason I live-trapped from our old residence and brought him here after I took him to the vet, and the doctor told me he is 13 years old and he had to fight almost every day to eat. So I caught him up, and he came with us. He is very much wild and lives under the house. Sissy is an inside-outside cat, and Jeff is a fat cuddle bug. I have seriously cried for the past year and a half at the thought of losing my girlfriend. Now I have the gut-wrenching feeling that I'm going to have to take all these animals to the pound, load up what we can in my Jeep, and live in my car. I really hope that people believe that every bit of this story is in fact 100% true and what's about to happen to us is in fact 100% true. My girlfriend and I have been homeless before due to us starting out on our own and having nothing, and we stuck it out. The mental frustration, the long hungry nights out in the Charlotte, NC cold weather. We walked 30 miles in one day to get to the other side of town just to go to sleep and wake up, walk to the light rail to go to a hotel, and do it again and again, day after day, until finally my family showed me mercy and helped us out until I could start working. But that was short-lived because we had a head-on car accident in 2021. I was working crazy hours and was out late going to get something to drink, and my girlfriend was asleep next to me when someone came across the road into my one lane and they had two. But because I crossed the yellow line, it was my fault. I have driven my new Jeep to the end of its days, taking my girl to Charlotte for her chemo. If anyone has a car they can donate or a 2005 to 2012 Jeep Liberty you can donate to me for parts, that would be amazing. Or a mobile RV that we can move and live in so we can get out from under this rent. Yeah, we have been through a lot in 8 years, too much for just 2 people in such a short time. Maybe this GoFundMe will receive some attention and we won't end up homeless, and my girlfriend can have a safe place to live her last days instead of worrying about the kids, the animals, me, her father...
