My name is James, and I’m working to start a local transportation non-profit to help people in my community get where they need to go. I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be for many to access basic services like grocery stores, AA meetings, food shelves, and hair appointments. While there are some medical ride services available, there’s nothing for everyday needs—including sober rides—and this leaves a lot of people struggling, especially in these times.
I want to change that by creating a service that fills this gap. To get started, I need to purchase a handicap-accessible van and a regular van, as well as cover the costs of permits, licenses, and insurance. If someone is able to donate the vans, the funds will go toward government fees and other startup costs. While having a small location would be helpful, it’s not necessary at the beginning. My goal is to make transportation accessible and affordable for everyone who needs it.
I would be grateful for any support, whether it’s a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or simply spreading the word. Every bit of help brings this vision closer to reality and makes a real difference for people in our community who need reliable transportation. Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping make it possible.
